Jitterbug Girls ~

The costumes have arrived. They're so cute!! So perfect for the girls. Downside is that the feather collar have about 6 inches rip between shirt & collar. I will try to sew it together. Mike will leave feedback to the seller from eBay.

Faith in red & Sarah in yellow:

You can see them dancing & how the dress goes up. They love that.

50s Poodle costumes

I lost the snow princess costumes because people bidding higher than the stores offered. I was on hunt for second choices. My sis in law sent me the links on different costumes. This one jumped out to Sarah & she love it & said I gotta have it. So I'm gonna try to win those costumes for the girls. So perfect for them since they love to sing & dance around the house. LOL
Faith want this one. We aren't getting the shoes. Our black dress shoes should be good for them.

Girls' Bedroom (before pics)

Here are the before pics of girls' bedroom. Mike will be painting girls room in bright pink tomorrow. Don't mind the toys on the floor ~ Sophie was playing with girls' Little People. Don't mind the doors ~ girls broke off the wood panel off the door a little at a time. The house are over 40 yrs old. We are in process of fixing up the house little at a time.

Corner of their room:
Near the entrance of their bedroom doorway. That's girls charts for their behavior & chores:
Other corner of the room:
You can see the bottom mattress (blue sheet) which is pulled out a bit because Sophie love to climb up on the bed. Plus the bed is too high for girls to climb on. So we leave the bottom mattress partly out for girls to use as stepping stool. LOL This are better than bunk bed for their age right now. This bed will be Sophie's bed once girls are ready for bunk beds. The bed is front of girls' dresser & TV on the other side of the room:

Standing in the doorway to take this pic
The furnitures will be re-arrange because we have baseboard heater & we have to move the bed out of the way to prevent get the blankets on fire. We will be putting the furnitures in front of it to prevent toys, small pieces, whatnots to get in there. Mike's father said one time he smell burning plastic & his mom's kid threw the toy & it landed in the heater. That's why his father rather have furnitures to block the heater from things get in there or catch on fire.
We will be putting up shelves & put their Little Ponies on them.

Halloween costumes ~

I was thinking bout girls goes as Snow Princesses this Halloween. But Mike's Mom doesn't agree & she doesn't think the costumes look good. I thought those are cute.

Sarah would wear this with cape (pic below). It has hoop wire on the bottom of skirt.

Faith would wear this. But there is another dress identical to the one above & they're in gold color. I'm not sure if I'm getting both identical with different colors or 2 different dresses.

I'm thinking about doing their hair in bow & have to go out to find bows for their hair. What do you think?

Baked homemade soft pretzels

Girls & I made homemade pretzels today. Thanks to Katy ~ she posted about it in FB & her blog. So I had to try it & we are big fans of soft pretzels here.

This is Sarah

This is Faith (Sophie was taking a nap)

All done!! They are so good!! We enjoy it very much. I would make it again. Very easy to make!

Woodland Ferry Festival

We went to Woodland Ferry Festival, DE. They always hold festival to raise money for the ferry every year in Sept. It's small festival & very nice.

They got brand new ferry this year. The ferry were closed for months because they had to wait for the new ferry to come in.

During festival, the ferry are closed to cars. Only passengers are allow to walk on or ride on. So girls ride on it to enjoy small trip across the river & back. LOL Faith is in dark pink & Sarah in light pink shirts.

Sarah in moon beam bounce & they're having fun.

Look at me, said Faith. LOL
Girls wouldn't go home til they get chance to ride in this duck train. When we went to see if they could go on & the young man said that they are out of gas. So we walk around a bit longer & hoping they get gas. They finally did & girls got excited & ran for it. But they miss out the first ride & wait for the second ride. LOL

A day at festival would be no fun without paint & balloon from clown. LOL Here's Faith ~ she freaked out & didn't want a paint on her face. LOL So she got paint on her wrist. She was more shy with the clown than Sarah was.
Show off to me on what they got. Sarah is too busy with her lollipop. LOL
Faith's paint wrist
Girls were listening to her chatty (I have no idea what she was saying) LOL. Girls made beads with chenill sticks. You can see for yourself in above pic of Faith's bracelet & in Sarah's hair.
Sarah got paint on her ears on make believe earrings & on her face.
I asked Sarah to show it to me & take a pic for photo album. We were about to leave but girls begged me if they could stay to listen to a man perform. I told them sure. I let them enjoy the music (don't ask what kind of music he play). LOL
Funny thing about this picture, most senior citizens are in the audience. They look around to see where's mommy or daddy? I was standing on the side & didn't sit with girls. One woman noticed that I'm the mommy & she spread the words to others that I'm the mommy. LOL She noticed I signed to girls about something & girls response with their voices. LOL
Here's Sophie. I bought Crayola Buddies for her birthday. She enjoy it but she love to eat it too. LOL This is first moment I put it in her hand & her face light up.
Here's Milo with Sophie. Milo love sleeping with whoever is sleeping. Had to capture that moment.

Sophie's first birthday pics

You can see girls try to help her open the presents but they take over the gifts. LOL Check out the small video of them trying to help Sophie to open her gift.
