Paint therapy

After all  the wedding hustle and bustle I needed some time out.
Time to reload before the dollhouse fair.
I grabbed my box of paints and the single old and worn matryoshka (Russian nesting doll) I had bought from a thrift shop.

I started painting and found Frida :)
If I am lucky enough to find a smaller one, should I paint that as a skeleton?

Bits and pieces

As I can't show you everything, (really wish I could) I thought I'd share my artsy fartsy detail photos from the wedding.
The part when I just had fun with the camera.
Emergency nut baggies for guests at the church.. it saved me from keeling over :)

Oh, hi!

If any of my local friends ever need a fantastic band that'll get everyone on the dance floor (and keep them there), I've got info on these guys.
S.u.p.e.r.b.
It took two days for my legs to recover :P

It was built.
Then it was taken apart to build something else.
Happy is an understatement :)

Meri and Joppe's wedding flowers

I was so happy to be able to make all the flower arragements for my friend's wedding.
Roses, fresias, peonies, carnations, sweet peas and hydrangeas.
A pretty pink sweet scented combination.

We had fresias and sweet peas at the ends of the church pews.

The arrangements at the altar were moved to the buffet table at the party venue.
All the greenery, except for the banana leaves (folded), came out of my garden or the woods.

Don't you just love the paper lanters?
The greens are branches from blueberry bushes.
If you got really lucky, you could even taste a few berries ;)

 The gift table.

And of course flowers in the bathrooms too, right next to the emergency packs.

 The three flowergirls carried these.

Bridesmaids had wrist corsages.

Groom and his groomsmen's buttonieres.

 And finally the bouquet...
It looked beautiful with her pale grey dress.

Hands down one of the most fun and entertaining weddings I have attended.
Thank you for making me a part of it.
