We had a party

Someone turned nine years old :)

She wanted a Littlest Pet Shop themed party, so we decked out all her littlest pets on the table.

Along with some decked out lollipops.

And quick and cute initial cards.

And loads of goodies...

..fun gifts..

..odd hot dogs..LOL.. there has to be one who doesn't like sausages...

..I like the real kind :)

We got a dance show!

Finally the guests bundled up and hit the snow...

Everyone had a great time!

nine hours of fun..

I had a scrapping friend over yesterday and boy did we have fun :)
She brought along her Slice machine and that was way cool..
..even if I did manage to almost break it.. reboot, reboot..
Needless to say we laughed a LOT!

I also finished a bunch of pages :)
I'm holding one back.. I have a feeling I'll use that for AMLT next month.
But the rest I'll share.

-can i shoot you with my canon?-

My bro bought himself a canon slr as well and now there are two snaphappy people in the family. The great part is that we can borrow lenses :)
This is just kraft cardstock and a bunch of rub ons.

-moody-

Translation: grumpiness, growling, school happiness, growling, grumpiness, grumpiness, silence :)
She's going through a phase... I hope.
The circle is a page from a chipboard album and the strips are the bits left over when I trim the 12x12 papers to 8½x11.

-ball chair-

An item of internationally known finnish design. I'd love to own this chair.. you slip into it and the world is muffled away. Unfortunately to pricetag is really steep..
I centered everything for this, and got to use some truly pre-historic letter stickers.

-peace out-

My daily photo from friday, no less!
Journaling talks how I enjoy the last hour of work, as most of the kids have left and the only thing you can hear are your ears ringing, heh..

-sweet revenge-

*disclaimer*
There are NO neon yellow smudges on those clouds in real life. However my scanner thinks so..hhmmphh... just imagine them nice and evenly cream colored :)

Journaling talks about how much I enjoy the revenge of all those early mornings and middle of the night wake-ups as I can kick my teen out of bed at noon on the weekends.. priceless joy..
The upper edge is left torn.

-super powers-

Heini had this quote with her and I knew I had to use it!
The photo of the sharpener was taken at work. I also love that pencil paper...
The words were cut out of KI Memories lace cardstock.
Journaling: my work day includes checking tests, vocabulary, laughter, settling arguments, tearing my hair out, stairs, stairs, stairs. noise, lovely people.

I feel great about having pages in my 2010 file now too.

Monet

My latest painting.
I'm calling it Monet.. as I see something of Monet's waterlily paintings in it...
Click on the picture and you can see the details better.

This pic shows some of the texture.
I really love this one.
Hubby is hanging it on his new office wall.

I'm so happy to be painting again.

Super extra sugarfrosted views

It has been a week of such sugarfrosting that it's almost too much to take in.
Just a little cold but with the fog rolling in gave everything that magic ingredient.

This is when I like winter.
This makes it all worth it.

So happy I can stay inside

I did however have outside duty today for lunch recess.. it was COLD today.
My toes were numb when I got inside.. late..as the person who needed to relieve me was late..ugh..

I've been substituting for two days, and still will be for Monday and Tuesday.
While the kids were doing their math, I was planning the Monday's lesson.. this class is sooo behind..

On Fridays I get to go home right after 3pm.
It was nice as it was still light outside.

It was really really cold though.
The temps kept plummeting all day.

By the time I got home it was -18C.
I was wrapped up in knitted goods :)
I then found a slip from the post office in my mailbox and walked 10 minutes there to pick up new scrapping supplies.
Walked back, with my legs frozen.
They weren't inside a cozy down jacket like the rest of me.

Tonight will be even c-o-l-d-e-r.
brrrr.....

Paper, scissors and glue = scraps = happy me :)

I was happily making a mess yesterday to meet with some scrapping deadlines.

Made me realize it's been a while since I updated any pages here.
So here goes.

-Valmis/Ready/Finished-

The journaling talks about me finishing my studies in the spring as well as finishing this bear (as a part of it). The bear was completely hand stitched.

-Capturing the moment-

Another England trip page, this is from the Roman baths at Bath.

-Inspiring-

A cookbook I bought just because the recipes are arranged by color.

-Brothers are-

One of the coolest things this past year has been watching my brother become a father.

-1st mobile-

And she was the last 2nd grader to get one...
This page is all about the circles.

-Celebrate-

Little details from my 40th.

-Hill-

Winter memories from the early 70's.

-Carpe Diem-

One of my favorite pages.

-14*10-

14th b-day.
10 girls up/or close to the tree.
Only the photo is paper.

And she scores!

I was downtown today determined to find a pair of nice boots.
I like to wear skirts, but I also like to stay warm.
And stylish helps too :)

I found this lovely pair..

I picked them off the shelf 30% off, quite ready to pay the still ridiculous price.
Got to the cashier and the saleslady who helped me a bit earlier gives a little shout: Give them to her 50% off!
She was just reducing the prices.
Score!
Yes!
Still the most expensive pair of boots I've ever bought, but I saved 40 euros from what I was prepared to spend.
And they are pretty... oh so pretty..

Once I got home I've spent a nice while editing and printing photos.
Had to get creative as after I had picked up the food and ink I (desperately) needed I realized I only had three big sheets of photo paper left.. ugh.. and there was no way I was going out to the supermarket again.
That's on top of my list next time I'm shopping..

As for my 365_2010 project.. hey.. five days strong :)
We'll see how it goes once work and reality hit on Thursday..
But you can see the photos on my Flickr account by following the link that looks just like this:

on my sidebar there.

There might be a few pics that won't show up for everyone at some point, I have some that only friends and family can view.

Off to scrap I go... see ya!
