My Birf-day!!

I had such a perfectly wonderful birthday this year!  I have learned to plan the things I want to have happen...it takes stress off of others and I am guaranteed to do what I want! :)  This year I spent the day with my sister, Emily.  The day consisted of pedicures, shopping, high tea at the Hyatt, more shopping, dinner and cake and a Phase 10 card game with family...exactly what I wanted!  I love birthdays!!

1950's Daddy Daughter Date Night

This year's theme for the Daddy Daughter night at church was 1950's.  With help (over the phone) from Matt's mom, Melanie, I sewed a skirt for Eden.  Matt, being the good sport he is, dressed up as well and he put Grease soundtrack music on his ipod for the drive.  Eden was so happy to be going on a date with her daddy!  They both had a great time!

St. Patrick's Day

The leprechauns returned!  Last year Eden made a trap and tried to catch a leprechaun.  This year she decided to just make them their favorite treat of Ritz crackers with honey.  The leprechauns ate all the crackers and left the kids a trail of Peppermint Patties leading from their beds to the kitchen where they each had a stack of coins waiting for them.  The leprechauns must have loved the cracker & honey treats because they spelled "Thank You" with the Peppermint Patties on the living room floor!  For breakfast we ate green shamrock pancakes.  And then Eden and Kai left for school dressed in green...

One photo says it all...

This is what I have been doing instead of blogging...this and, oh yeah...taking care of four children!  Needless to say, I am a busy woman nowadays.  I am officially a full-time student again!  I am earning my teaching credentials through a Cal State Fullerton online program called CalState TEACH.  The majority of the curriculum in completed and submitted online.  Plus, I am in the classroom one day a week.  It is an 18 month program so I will be a credentialed teacher by August of 2012.  It seems so far away at this point...one day at a time, one day at a time.

Tidepools!

Our friend and neighbor, Kerrin invited us to go to the tidepools during low tide in the afternoon.  We found many tidepool animals and had such a great time!
