School days

Landri LOVES school!  She has an awesome teacher!  I am so thankful that she goes to school with me and I get to see her during the day!  Although, she is quite independent....she wants to know when I will drop her off and let her walk in by herself!  And she wants to ride a bus!  =)
Bailey is also doing great!  She has to sleep on a nap mat in her new class...It took some getting used to but she's got it now!

Meet the Teacher

Landri went to Meet the Teacher last Thursday. Ms. Westmoreland will be her teacher for Kindergarten this year. Her room is all decorated with animal prints! Landri and her BFF, Claire are both in this class. We are looking forward to a great year. It is really hard for me to believe that Landri is old enough to be in K! Where did the past 5 years go????

Colorado

We all had such a great time on our trip! The girls were great in the car on the long trip. It was so great to spend time with all our family. Our house had the best views. It was so great to wake up to those views! The weather was so nice and cool! Can't wait to go back!

Colorado cont....

Another day we visited the Alluvial Fan....

More Colorado....

We enjoyed lots of shopping downtown, outdoor fun and family time! We all hiked to Alberta Falls, Bear Lake, and Sprague Lake one day. The falls are one of my favorite places. They are so beautiful! Landri was a trooper and loved the hike!

Hiking

One day in Colorado, Ryan, Dad, Daniel, Uncle Clyde and I decided to go hiking. Our plan was to hike about 3 miles to an abandoned mine, Eugenia Mine. Once we got there, we decided to go further. It was a little addicting! Once we got going we didn't stop! We FINALLY made it to the top of Estes Cone. It was very challenging at the top. The trail disappeared and we were climbing up rocks! It was a big accomplishment for sure! The total hike ended up being over 7 miles! We did cause those at the house waiting for us to worry since we were gone MUCH longer than expected! I am so glad that we did it and we plan to do another long hike again next year!

Colorado Trip

We got to spend 6 nights in one of our favorite places, Estes Park Colorado. One day we drove up Trail Ridge Road to the Alpine Vistor Center. It was pretty chilly and still had lots of snow. We also saw lots of great wildlife. Landri enjoyed playing in the snow and throwing snowballs at everyone! Landri also earned her Junior Ranger badge by doing various things around Rocky Mountain National Park. Can't wait to go back next summer!

Rangers game

We enjoyed meeting Ryan's brother, Chad and his family for a Rangers game. It was dollar hot dog night so the girls loved it! Bailey also enjoyed some cotton candy! It was hot but fun!

4th of July

The four of us celebrated the 4th of July with a dinner at Fuzzy's and then fireworks in Roanoke! The girls loved sitting in the back of Ryan's truck and on blankets to watch the fireworks! The loud noises didn't bother Bailey at all!

Happy Father's Day

Kyle and Tiffany's Wedding

Our friends, Kyle and Tiffany, were married in June. It was a beautiful wedding. Tiffany looked absolutely stunning! Landri loved seeing Tiffany look like a princess!

Bailey's 1st Birthday

Bailey turned ONE on May 27th! We celebrated with a small family party! We had a great time! It is very hard to believe that she is such a big girl! She started walking a little after she turned one and hasn't slowed down since! Compared to Landri at one, she was almost 3 inches shorter and
2 lbs. smaller! Maybe she will have a growth spurt later.....Sure love this girl!

Landri's Pre-School Graduation

Here's the first of many blogs trying to catch up.....

Landri graduated from the Azle Early Learning Center at the end of May. As she got her diploma her teacher announced what she had said that she wanted to be when she grew up....a dolphin trainer! We hadn't heard that before but thought it was unique and adorable! So of course we had to take her to feed dolphins at Sea World this summer! We were so lucky to have a daycare at my school! Landri started there when she was 5 months old! They gave her a special memory book with pictures from the past 5 years! Look out Kindergarten, here comes Landri!!!

So far behind.....

Well Summer has come and now gone...I have realized that our blog is WAY behind! We had a computer crash that lost many pictures and since then I haven't been brave enough to download any more! They are just hanging out on my camera! But we got a new computer and I will get right on that soon.....in all my spare time since I go back to work tomorrow!!!

What's been going on.....Bailey turned one in May! We have had a great summer...trips to San Antonio, Sea World, Estes Park, CO, and many more! Landri starts Kindergarten next week! WOW, where did the past 5 years go?!?!

Here are some pics we had taken in May.....maybe I'll catch up soon! =)

Friends and Fun

We have had lots of fun with friends lately! Landri LOVES t-ball and has made lots of new friends. She played catcher last game! I have to admit that she looked adorable in her gear! She even tagged someone out at home! Her and Claire had fun hunting eggs at school! Jennifer and I bought those baskets for the before their first Easter! Landri's first picture is inside the basket with eggs....she was about 10 days old! WOW, time sure flies by! I filled out the papers for Kindergarten today. And of course we still LOVE Tiffany! She came to the game last week! We can't wait to see her and her beautiful wedding this summer!

Easter 2011

We went to Sherman to spend Easter with Grandmary! We had a great time as always! She had plenty of eggs for the girls to hunt and lots of candy to fill them too! We had to hunt when we could because we had some big storms while we were there! Someone (maybe Landri's mom) accidentally hit a baseball through Grandmary's bedroom window while trying to show Landri how to hit without a tee! Leave it to me! Didn't know I was still such a slugger! =) We enjoyed a great Easter service at Grandmary's church followed by a wonderful meal!
