apologies to anyone who still visits this forsaken URL of a blog. a severe lack of updates which i can blame on nothing else but my own slothfulness.
haha started work the very nxt day i last blogged off. currently working as a temp at fuji xerox, frm 12-5 on weekdays. hopefully i will be granted a full day job soon, and make better use of my time. it's not bad a job, especially with a fren there to talk to once in awhile. just a tad boring when i had not started asking for some other stuff to do, and again, wish it was full day.
watched the premiere of IRON MAN. YESSSSSSSSSSS IRON MAN. shiok sia. won two tickets via sms contest to 8 days. hahaha we went for dinner and then entered the cinema, thinking it was free seating (as it was stated on our tickets). so we just picked the best seats we cld get and plonked down and started talking. den i commented, eh why the heck do ppl wanna sit all the way in front?? moments later, eh how come the ppl here all so atas looking?
soon a family came up to us and asked: eh u sure u got the correct seats? me: er... isn't it free seating? family: are u in the correct cinema?
fully embarassed we moved to the titchy cinema at the corner and got ourselves seats near the side of the cinema (not that it matters cos the even the extreme side of a small cinema is relatively centre) HECK THE PAISEH the movie was shiok
wells... there was prawning on labour day. the catch rate was atrociously low. explains the delight on my face when i caught one (reference facebook foto) it was nice, and i got quite a tan. sadly its fading. and because iron man was just so shiok, i decided to watch it again with the church peeps. STILL SHIOK.
my memory of past events are fading quick.
monday was the praise and prayer meeting with lasalle peeps. glad to say many turned up, and 13 were frm lasalle. sad to say the games kinda broke down cos of the huge turnout. hahaha but i think we all had a good time with praise and praying for the school as well.
tuesday was bbq at fuxing's. i ate heck alot. and learned a few techniques to open beers without a bottle opener.
wednesday i went out with chuantin. shopped for mothers' day in vain, but she got her mum a really nice wallet gift set from braun buffel. really nice, but my mum wants to pick these things herself. so i decided not to take the risk.
thursday had resin making session at church. hahaha mine didn't turn out really nice. juz a lame idea. hahaha my stubfings arent the best to haf for art and craft.
went cycling wif enmei at bishan parks on friday night. really glad my back doesn't hurt anymore, but my rear brakes keep coming loose. gonna visit the bike shop soon. BUT THEY DUN OPEN AT THE TIMES IM AVAILABLE DAMMIT. self-reminder, buy more cushiony seats, and a kickstand. i dun care how macho bikes are without kickstands. i just want mine to stand so i can properly PUMP ITS FREAKIN TIRES.
had a boo boo ytd. turned out i wasnt playin drums for mandarin service, so i ended up with three hours vacant. listened to the prac, moved cars and facebooked. walked ard waterloo street b4 comin back for prac for weekend service, and of course the actual service. din do too well :( kind sophia liping joy and mac waited almost 3 hrs for me so that they cld haf dinner wif me :) touched. ate at the turquoise room. i must say its a super nice place. and the pastas were good. thot the servings were too small, but when i got home i was well beyond satisfied. great intro by sophia.
today was badminton day!!! bought new shuttlecocks cos i never knew my old ones were like SHIET. but the new ones cost me $54 for a dozen. i can't believe its such a freakin expensive sport. table tennis balls three for like 3 bucks???? damn you yonex! but played abt 8 games or so. seriously shiok. my arm is gonna hate me tmr for all those extra games.
din go anywhere fanciful for mothers' day. just a nice little dinner downstairs.
