i've always found it extremely uneasy to find the appropriate words to say in difficult, depressing situations.was watching "house", and dr fulman is sufferin frm his illness. and his dad was sittin in the chapel.
and he asked: what should i say? should i tell him it's gonna be okay? or should i tell him goodbye. i need to know what other people say.
been facing several difficult situations recently. not directly, but matters that concern me and my family a great deal. first is a wedding that could collapse, simply cos, the parents refuse to be understanding, even to the point that they shld really take full responsibility for this disaster. and what could i say? what should i say?
was sitting wif a relative of mine at the hospital. she speaks dialect, teochew to be accurate, which i cant very proudly say i dun really understand. fortunately my bro was translating for me. she was sayin, please do not baptise her when shes old and senile, cos she doesnt wanna be seperated frm her late husband forever.
which really is a sticky scenario. cos this not only shows how great her love for her husband is. but it shows that she understands two other things. one being her husband being in a less than desirable place, yet at the meantime knowing that a baptism cld bring her to the more than desirable place. and her love for her husband transcends all these, that she would be willing to stay wif her husband forever but remain seperated from our creator. so what could i say? what should i say?
a fren of mine. his mum is facin 6 months. and this mum, she's a really cheerful person. i dun know her well, but i know the influence she has over all those ard her. yet at sucha young age, it cld well be the end of the story. but when i visited her, she displayed such great courage and cheerfulness, that it overwhelms me. with shame. i didn't speak a word throughout the whole visit. cos i just didn't what i could say. or what i should say.
well i'm still stuck in the moment whereby i dunno wad to say. nuttin wise to share wif anyone here hahaha i read jingmin's blog and i always find that she has a solution, which really is sumthin to be envied. just hope i find my words soon.

at the workplace. well yet another boss has left us. oh wells. hahaha wonder why PNSFs arent cycled. to allow everyone a chance to experience everything. hmms... was half-thrown into this table tennis competition for police, so hafta train. asked ard for a few ppl to train wif me, but sumhow all never work out. but thank goodness i got amanda! hahaha she very kindly agreed to train wif me everyday!! hahaha so dats wad we did, and we wld haf dinner or simply drive her home after dat. and so those nights we gradually got to know each other better. hahaha it's nice to make new friends.
khailin came back frm australia on sunday night, and so we met up for dinner on monday night! picked her up frm far east and drove to timbre, intending to dinner at curry favor. but due to reasons i cannot disclose, we decided to just haf soup at soup spoon instead. haha we ate really fast, and trooped down to the seaside at east coast to haf a catch up session. and there we had a heart to heart talk. the wind was strong, there were couples making out, it was great. drove her home and went home myself to conk out.
treated amanda to dinner and dessert in thanks for her kind effort to train wif me everyday. haha realised that curry favor has more to japanese food den just curry. the seafood yosenabe (if i din spell dat wrongly) ROCKS!! hahaha super nice! but nearly died when i bit into a chilli padi tho. liang seah st dessert once again b4 sendin her home
today met up wif clara. had lunch at ikea b4 goin down to vivo city. watched hot fuzz. which started off quite quite boring but ended off quite quite funny and good!! haha so i wld recommend u guys to watch it! hahaha it's really quite exaggerated but it's worth 7 bucks :) walked ard vivo city but din spend a single penny haha it was quite fun making fun of clara :P:P haha i know she wun read this anyways haha. and not like she nv make fun of me :S hmms queued up for donuts and den went down to meet my parents at eunos for dinner and a visit to interior designers. hmms haf a better idea of how i want my room to look now. hopefully it all works out. :)

i forgot to thank a very important person! haha my brother! he bought me a birthday cake! his frens were staying over and dey were deciding weder to shout happy birthday at me but realised its late and i might get a shock overload hahaha it was awfully sweet. thanks bro.

monday the idiot came back for dekitting. haha officially no more idiot to talk cock with in office. oh wells everybody's turn wld hafta come some day. mine would be soon. SOON! SOON YOU GET ME SOON!! had dinner wif my grandma at this nice chinese restaurant. dey were having an offer. one fried fish for 4.80. dat's like cheaper than mcdonald's larh.
tuesday... went out for supper wif jialing. the late night mee pok. but she had gastric so we din haf like a great meal or wadeva. but we talked for abit and it was nice.
wednesday went for drums after work. wah kao he's really pushin me now. some of the things are like really diffiult. always feel like giving up sia. but i guess i juz gotta plod on.
thursday was on leave. so went out all the way to queensway fall factor to check out the timbuk2 bags. so sad the model dat i want isn't available in singapore... the lady picked me up in her cefiro after my lunch and we travelled down to the cathay. while waiting for our show we walked over to plaza sing for tea. her appetite has greatly increased it seems. watched ocean's thirteen. it was ok i guess. i abit catch no ball, and joy dozed off. haha we came out from the theatre and contacted the guys. went to church to meet up wif em and drove down to a golf course at marina bay. had our pretty nice dinner there. it was then that ernest introduced the most hip song these days. and we did a advertisement cut for Gatsby by our very selves!

saturday. well my big day i guess. turn 20 liao. hahaha it doesn't feel like much. juz older lorh. but the first kids i saw when i left home kicked a football in my way. apparently they thought it hurt me, and they said sorry UNCLE. UNCLE LEH. UNCLE??????????????????????? depressing. had dinner wif the joy ernest aaron and abel. before that we went to satellite hill and up a really steep hill for nice views. den brought us to keppel club where we were to have dinner. joy managed to park her car in amazing time, despite squeals of "it's so tight!", "it's my first time!" and "mine's too big!" it really was quite a nice place as we ate by the seaside. the kok manager cheated us of free dessert too. haha it was funny as we speculated that he was trying to hide frm us to skive off the offer of free dessert.
we departed and joy pei-ed me till my supper with the guys. went to mt faber. which was really quite nice UNTIL it poured. haha so unglam as we ran back to her car. decided to go to vivo city instead and we had to walk like the entire place juz to find the freakin arcade. the sillier thing was that we left after simply one game of "land of spices" where we had to kill imba insects while testing our love for each other. we attained 83%!!! im sure mac gets higher tho, cos i dun think he wld die so early, especially since his gf is an insane pest exterminator. in the game of course. i wldn't wanna be near her when a real cockroach comes her way. the nice little miss drove me all the way to adams rd where i met up wif the guys marc and korn. supper was good amidst talks of australia and commissioning. took our usual classic photo. and we sure as hell missed sulo.

er... last week was quite packed. which means a good week :) hmms... there wasn't anythin much on monday. juz worked and went home. tuesday went to ikea after work. which was quite an eye opener. haha cos ikea tampines is kinda... huge. yea anyway looked out for good furniture to put in my room but... hahaha i cant even rmb how big my room is supposed to be so its kinda silly. juz walked ard and tried to generate a few concepts in mind. told em to my parents but it seems like they dun really agree hahaha the conflicts between the youth and the previous generation. but i would say they have their concerns in the right place, more so than us. i guess dats why i cant afford a house yet.
wednesday after work was dinner wif joy. went to curry favour. haha dinner there is always shiok. haha but we spent only so little time tgt. ooops i realised i can drive and recognise roads easily, but sumhow i cant direct as well. hmms sumthins wrong wif me. anyways i nearly got us lost the first round but managed to find our way for the 2nd. hmms
thursday was on half day. chuantin came to my workplace to have lunch. hahaha i guess it muz really be weird to eat in a cafeteria filled with policemen/women. changed and we walked off to take the mrt to orchard. waited for chuantin to send her email appeal for a letter of graduation sooner than everyone else due to her requirement to apply to NIE. walked to the cathay where we bought ice cream and watched pirates of the carribean 3! hahaha it was quite good wad. i dunno why some ppl say not good or can fall asleep. i felt it was quite engaging. especially the battle scenes. really quite jing zhang. haha after that we walked to orchard rd. damn heng nearly got caught in the rain. but i guess it's always good luck walkin nxt to me. had mos burger for dinner. ate this disgusting sausage cream focacia shit please dun eat it. it sucks. until now my favourite is still kakiage rice burger. ROCKS. at the end of the day my feet were quite tired due to lots of walking thru orchard road back and forth. was relieved to sit down at home sia. even better to lie down and snore. it's always good to lie down and snore.
friday after work juz went home lorh. was suppposed to go for supper wif the guys but... it was abit late and my parents reached home b4 i cld leave, so i really cldnt siam. paiseh!
saturday was extremely action packed. haha early in the mornin met amanda for brunch at serangoon gardens market. she came to pick me up in a lilac nissan sunny! AND SHE WAS LATE. tell me 1145 reach my hse in the end 1215 den reach tsktsk! hahaha her driving is really quite... awakening. i was still abit sleepy but she langa the kerb first thing after i got onto the car. immediately i was all energetic to start the day off by throwing open the door and jumpin out once we were gonna crash into some huge cement truck. super scary. but fortunately she had a car instructor on board to teach her how to park in half the time she wld haf done so. hahaha chatted for abit over the meal and she sent me to serangoon mrt. where i rushed down (DUE TO AMANDA BLEAH'S LATENESS :P) dhoby ghaut to meet the 1520 peeps for shrek 3!! it was quite ok bah. had some really hilarious scenes but not as good as the 1st instalment. oh wells. cant complain. took a cab after the show to joy's house to pick her up. mercedes cab leh!! hahaha and you still owe me money btw joy :P reached row E1 and had to beg for seats. 8 ppl asked me to chope seats. SORRY!!! met yingyi jason and shaun tho haha it was quite nice. the weather was terrible at first but soon it came to a stop. and the men came marching in! haha for a really funny understanding of wad happened, do visit the MAN's blog (link: guanhow). well took quite alotta fotos, though not all of guanhow (to the girl sitting nxt to me: am i right?) i can imagine how proud korn's parents muz be. sword of honour lehs. haha even i as a fren felt quite proud too. haha rushed down for the foto taking as usual for all comms parades. but soon hes gonna leave for australia. quite saddening :S
well not thinkin abt dat went to jurong point wif the class (nel marc zhan per shan qian) for dinner at fish and co! theres this marvellous thing at fish and co called kola tonic. its 3.90 per cup, and u can pay an additional 2 bucks for unlimited refills! we intended to drink until it was only 10 cents per cup, but we realised that would equate to 59 cups and everyone peeing solid kola tonic for the nxt 3 days. so we gave up on our 8th. it was quite nice chatting wif everyone, esp qian and pearl as we were trapped on the same train home haha. conked out.
sunday started the day early at 8am reach church liao eat breakfast come back for bible study den worship den prayer den lunch. DEN mission trip team gathering. i fell asleep at 5th level till chuantin called me to ask me go 4th level. think their skit was quite good. everyone was natural enough. den went to pack stuff and seal boxes until dinner. and there was a sharing session. really glad to see everyone all excited and fully prepared in the right gear to do their stuff in mae chan. left for home, had an exciting chat with joy and somehow samantha hahaha and went to sleep. prayin here dat the mission team will arrive safely there! :)
