well nuttin much has been goin on. again lemme split my post into the few sections that concerns my everything and facilitates my recall-ing of everything that has happened.
er...
work. well it's been ok. but now it's going down down down. i think frm today onwards i will hafta stay overtime every day. and the hell week is coming starting 1 jun till 7 jun. hopefully i survive the ordeal. it's my first deployment of this nature, and so... hope it's smooth. colleagues have been giving awful attitudes. which is rather depressing. and a good fren has ORD-ed. and so the two remaining NSFs have to depend on each other through thick and thin haha. btw he's the thin one.
church. i suppose nuttin much is goin on too. been teaching the younger ones bible study. or rather leading them thru it. i hope they benefit. i'm glad they have gone to be more receptive and more responsive as well. i think that is crucial to learning. not only the bible but pretty much everything. and it's good cos i get to noe the younger bunch better. if i hadn't taught em i wld probably be still quite distant frm em. eh... my drums learning is going ok i guess. haven played much in church. well we'll see. the opportunity for me again shld come soon. but sadly i can't go to church this coming sunday due to the deployments. i had hoped i wld get night shift so that i cld go to church. but i was sadly refused. i think wad my bro said is true. religion is of little consequence in the working world. it is pretty much... your own problem. unless you have a beautiful rank that is.
friends. the lady, ms eng is currently enjoying herself in germany. i dunno how much of enjoy larh. but she seems happy enuff. bratwursts everyday does that to a person i suppose. well met up wif ling for a short while after she came back frm hk. hahaha she very considerately got me a krispy kreme! haha blueberry summore. and a tshirt. but that now makes the too tight tshirt count - 3. sad. hahaha i nid to slim down sial. been emailing celine for abit too. it's nice to keep in contact.
events. well my past weekend was pretty action packed. actually the last week was pretty action packed. met heidi for lunch on monday. din talk much, and neither did she eat much. but it was catching up nonetheless. hmms... wednesday after drums was spent in orchard rd looking for lihuan's 21st bday present with chuantin. sadly all laptop cases of today are aligned to the dimensions of a macbook. and none so for other brands. thus all the beeooooteefoool ones, such as crumpler and a few other more prominent brands, are a no-no.
which is why we arranged for another shopping session on friday. this time we decided on a fabrix case, and bought it at funan. it's nice and lihuan says she likes it. that's all that matters. well aside frm dat we got her a wallet too. frm fossil. which was very suited for her imho. and she says she likes it too! hahaha and we made her a mousepad!! handmade leh!!!!! i spent 3 hrs on it and slept only at 4am haha. which she says she likes it too!! i'm beginning to suspect lihuan likes everything.
well since we're there, might as well talk abt lihuan's bday party. it was held at... my condo's clubhouse function room. hahaha i was a late arrival... (ooops shall explain later) and i realised that not everyone was in full compliance of the theme "RETRO". and thus the white based flowery shirt-ed, white pants-ed, white shoe-ed, white shades-ed and white suspender-ed me was absolutely terrified of walking into the function room. but then i saw my lovely lihuan all dressed up for the occasion and... haha i had no choice but to display my utmost support! haha well... photos will be up on facebook. one day. had little to eat, but much to learn frm the dear girl as she shared abt her life and her love for her mum. it really was quite touching. haha the nite blew past really fast and soon it was cleaning up and going home to sleep.
before that i had gone to a supposed mega 69 outing! but turns out 03 batch pangseh-ed, and 07 batch was severely late. so i was stuck talking to those i've talked with so many times. hahaha shimin, khailin, mark, runi, jz, nel were at my table. and we juz talked cock. i guess dats wad happens when ppl who haven met for a long time do. but then again i met nel only the previous night (ooops i shall explain later too) had a mermaid freeze which was shockingly diabetes-inducing. had some fries courtesy of the blur khailin, but also some fish courtesy of the nice khailin. was really disappointed when i had to leave tho the juniors had yet to arrived. i had waited for quite a long time for them to appear but they never did (which explains why i was late for lihuan's party). and i had to miss out on pirates 3 too... which i had looked forward to earlier in the day. which i am abt to explain why now
was supposed to meet the mum for the movie at 12pm. but her meeting juz din seem to end and we met at 2pm instead. hahaha it was really lucky i din choose to buy the tickets sia. hmms... yeap went to shop and eat lunch instead. everything on the mind was retro. managed to find the white suspenders which i wore to lihuan's bday at only 9 bucks! lucky i din buy the topman ones at 26 bucks or the goldlion ones at 40+!! heh bargain sia. but i suppose cheap goods are lousy goods. the suspenders snapped and came off a few times hahaha. either the suspenders were lousy or i juz wasnt built for em. after i met the mum we went off to our seperate locations, for me was to the 69 outing lorh hahaha
backtracking even further to the previous night was friday night. after shopping with chuantin in attempt to find presents for lihuan, we sat down at starbucks and had coffee. there the plan for the mousepad was conceived. haha creative sia. frm personalising the laptop case, we went on to make a card, and frm make a card we ended up making a mousepad. well wad to do. we have great minds. after that i dashed to raffles hotel wif nel n marc to watch qian's hall production! haha it was a night full of singing and music. there was this certain actor who acted as the father of the household and he cld really sing sia hahaha. well the production ended really fast as well. i think it was quite good. considering the difficulty involved when u hafta write songs by urself, and u hafta sing them before like... nearly a hundred ppl. i can imagine being a nerve-wreck. hmms... went to supper after that with a few ppl... nel, marc, fangyi, joyce, huishan, pearlyn n ethel. at the tong shui hong kong cafe at liang seah street. had a mini debate on whether liren is male or female. and it was juz plain talking cock aft that. din talk much too i guess. too tired. went on home aft dat on a long train-bus journey wif pearlyn haha. the company neighbours provide.
first time u've seen a guy backtracks slowly from saturday night to friday night in a blog entry! haha usually it's fast fowards, but i've been rewinding. cool rite??

last night went for Global Day of Prayer 2007. well... singapore life church was represented by the nine of us... me, my bro, xueting, amy, weiling, yansiew, lihuan, chuantin and xinhui. i guess it wasn't too much of an experience. as i told the others, we were in the non-high section of the crowd. right at the side. hahaha i think if we were in the middle we wld be alot more fervent. haha but then again, i think it's nice to be guided step by step to pray for our ourselves, our families, and our country. praise was quite good. the lead singer has an insanely high voice. haha but oh wells. the night blazed past too. and it was a long trip home on 853. dinner at serangoon central before the 315 home.
i guess i've nuttin more to offer now. i shall to try to blog again soon. but dun count on it.

ok its been almost a month since i blogged. well lemme explain. it started wif me losing my computer to repairs. and then i juz got lazy.
obviously i cant rmb all dats happened this month. so i guess i juz hafta highlight the major events.
at work. got promoted. finally. but still waiting for the pay... so sad. not like the rank means anything. oh wells. waiting for pay waiting for pay waiting for pay.
juz realised istana grounds look really beautiful. i'm glad i'll get to stay there in future.
seriously the grass is trim, the roads are spick, the paths are span.
went back to watch the table tennis finals at toa payoh. the girls had gotten into the finals. they put up one damn fine fight they did. alas the final score was 3-2 against our favour. but i wld say i'm proud of em. they showed off just what hcjc could do. wifout any sg youths on our side, we cld still manage such a close fight, that's wad i'm talkin abt. it's a sad thing dat the guys din advance any further than they did tho. they stood a good chance. but according to themselves, they screwed up. so now, it's juz abt picking themselves up for the fight nxt year.
had dinner at pariss courtesy of the big boss man guowei. had quite a good dinner. but was quite sad to hear stuff here n there. and i thought the display of spirit was great during the finals. wld nv haf thot there were so many problems behind the scenes. i distinctly rmb my captain, shangjing once stating the cliche but really true sentence, in a TEAM, Together Everyone Achieves More. perhaps hwa chong table tennis TEAM should reflect upon this. without the collective efforts, we would have been left behind a long time ago.
well past sunday went to east coast. thank God for the beautiful weather. but... got burnt as a result. i'm glad some ppl haf told me it was fun. i was very afraid it wld be unsuccessful sia. looks like ppl up till 24 years can still have fun under the sun building sandcastles and playing captains ball using gym ball and ping pong ball. captains egg was a failure tho. wooops.
