Hi Everyone,
I am so super excited to have been asked to be the guest designer for the Color Throwdown challenge for
the month of October!!! Every week a different color combo with an
inspiration photo is given and you create any project that combines
those colors in any way you want! Even if you don't have exactly the right colors - its totally fine - just jump on it and play along anyhooo!!!
Which is what I did this week - I didn't really have the Tangerine Tango color, but went with the orange that I did have and created a little Halloween card using the colors from this week's challenge:
I love these beautiful colors together - and while you could create any card from this combo - it kinda felt like it was perfectly made for Halloween! I used the simply awesome haunted house die: 13 Dead End Drive - isn't it too cute?! I cut out little blocks of yellow and orange cardstock behind the windows so that they would appear to be "lit" from the inside and then cut a yellow circle to put behind the moon and gray cardstock on the path leading from the house - and then popped the whole house up with dimensionals and added some glaze to the house to make it all shiny and fun :)
I put two fun DPs next to each other and then added some strips of cardstock and some strips of vellum on the bottom and tied the sentiment Happy Halloween to the bow with some orange twine - I loved how this card turned out - fun and shiney :)
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Too Cute To Spook from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Halloween Project Pantry from TE, Vellum and Choice Black cardstock
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Tangelo Orange
Accessories: 13 Dead End Drive (haunted house die) from TE, foam, glaze, corner rounder, buttons from stash, orange baker's twine
And please don't forget to check out all of the amazing creations from the Color Throwdown DT with these amazing colors - hope that you get a chance to play around with this gorgeous fall colors!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Verve: October Spotlight Hop!
HI Everyone!
Guess what today is: World Card Making Day! AND its also the Verve Diva Inspirations Hop! There's a great BIG PRIZE up for grabs!!!Gotta love that a WHOLE day just to make cards - those are the rules --- I hope my DH knows that :D
So for my card today, I used one of my most favorite sets EVER from Verve: Hundred Hearts - I just love the sentiment in this set - and used some of my scrap stash to make a little card. There is something so so so so sweet about this sentiment and this super sweet font - makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it! I made this card for one of my dear friends - her favorite color is blue and so I pulled some blueish DP from my stash and added some elements to create this:
Here is a closer peek at the sentiments and hearts - I punched out a few hearts and cut up some pennants from DP to create a little pennant border with some bling to the hearts:
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Hundred Hearts from Verve stamps
Inks: Memento Bahama Blue and Navy
Papers; Scrap stash and Bazzill
Accessories: bling, corner rounder punch, heart punch, ribbon and dimensionals
Please check out the amazing DT with their Verve-tastic creations and you could win HUGE (the ENTIRE September release - that's right the ENTIRE release!) just by leaving a comment at each of the DTs blogs - leave some love - win some Verve!!!

Taylored Expressions: October Spotlights
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Taylored Expressions Spotlight Hops!!! Wooohoo!! Yesterday all of the new October Release products hit the TE store and today, the Baker's DT are hopping about and showing off some of the new products!
For my stamp set today, I had to use the Baby, It's Cold Outside stamp set and wanted to attempt a CAS card by creating a card with more white space. I thought it would be fun to use this village image and nestle it amongst some snowy hills of the country side using the Build A Scene: Rolling Hills dies:
I love how this turned out - I added some Swirly Clouds to the wintery scene and added some glitter to them and some stickles to some snow for a little sparkle :)
I stamped the image twice - once directly on the cardstock and the second time I cut it out and then popped it over for a little bit of dimension and pop :) The hills were cut with white felt for that soft snowy texture and I added some glaze to the windows for a little bit of sparkle:
I loved creating this snowy card - and its kind of CAS-ish :) I can't wait to make more annnnd I can't wait to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen created with all of these amazing new products from TE - please hop along with me and check them out:

Hugs,
Sankari :)

Taylored Expressions Release Day: Sack it Penguin Giftset and Color Block birthday card
Hi Everyone,
Today is release day over at Taylored Expressions - if you are reading this then that means that the store is open!! Woohoo!! And my favorite part of online shopping is that I can shop in my bed with my pajamas :D There are so many new dies and stamp sets that are being released today - including two new Project Pantries ready for your holiday cardmaking!
On my first project today, I used the 'Tis the Season Project Pantry to create this little Penguin Giftset made with the Sack It To You Penguin set which comes with dies ready to make the cutest penguin ever - you can make him/her into a card or use the SacK it To You die to create a little Penguin sack - perfect for winter birthdays, teacher presents, class favors - or for anything at all!!
Here is another look at the Giftset with the Tag coming out of the Tag Pocket of the card:
I also created a coordinating card using the Tag Pocket die - perfect to create a little note inside or little tag - I used the sentiments from the stamp set: Baby, It's Cold Outside - And on the inside of my tag, I used the cute little teacup from the Tea-riffic stamp set (that comes with a coordinating die) - love this sweet image!
And here is one more look at my cute little penguin.... seriously - this little guy is sooooo cute - and this die comes with all the pieces to create this adorable little penguin. I started out by making a sack using the Sack it to You die and then assembled all the pieces together onto the sack to create this super cute favor bag. I especially like the scarf/hat ensemble - so very chic mr. penguin, if I do say so myself!
Project Ingredients:
Stamps: Baby, Its Cold Outside stamp set, Sunflower Bouquet stamp set, Tea-riffic stamp set (with coordinating die) from TE
Paper: 'Tis The Season Project Pantry from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Ladybug Red
Taylored Dies: Tag Pocket die, Sack It to you Penguin, Sack it To You die, Label Stacklets 2
Accessories: foam dimensionals, chunky glitter from MS, glue dots, corner rounder, grommet and Best Glue Ever
For my second project today, I am using the brand new Color Block Cutting Plate! It is SO so SO cool - it not only cuts out an awesome layout for A2 cards (either vertical or horizontal) but it also includes 11 separate dies! That means that within each block - there are two more pieces that can be cut out - how cut is that?!
So for my card, I decided that I wanted to use all the layers and cut out the die with 5 colors: black, green, yellow, pink and blue and then layered them together in different combinations and added flowers, hearts or buttons to the centers of the blocks with the sentiment: "Happy Birthday" coming from the Sunflower Bouquet stamp set. It was so much fun to make this card - and the best part is I have more pieces ready to create more cards - just mix, match and adhere :) Gotta love that!
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Sunflower Bouquet from Taylored Expressions
Paper: Bazzill cardstock, Choice Black Cardstock
Inks: Memento Bahama Blue
Accessories: Color Block Cutting Plate from TE, Prima Fairy tales flowers, May Arts twine, buttons from stash, corner frounder, foam dimensionals, glue dots, Best Glue Ever
I can't wait to see what the amazing DT has created with all the awesome products that have been released today - please hop along with me and check them out!!
