these would probably be the most random statements of my messed up mind, it does not have to make sense, it does not mean anything....
- when u bring a girl out on a date and want to treat her to something, be it for dinner or for movies, just tweak a little n do some mental calculations and u will prolly figure how much u would need. Thus, if u wanna impress her, do it from the beginning to the end, that's how u have a happy ending
- don't offer help only when something is about to be done, what's the point of offering when its not going to help much anyway. If its for the sake of making urself feel better, save it. sometimes doing these for weeks w/o ppl offering help, it only says so much. remember karma? what goes ard comes ard. Common ppl, go the extra mile for someone and in return someone one day will go the extra for u.
- sometimes its hard to figure what's life in stored for u, but really all u really need to do is live in the moment and just let everything else takes it course. you reap what you sow, so be patient cos perseverance pays off, i'm sure and only time will tell.
- when someone loves u, the person is suppose to complement u, cover ur flaws and bring radiance to your strengths, and when u find someone like that, hold on tight and don't let go. However, if you meet someone who doesn't have the same interests as you, doesn't have the same priorities as u, as much as u try and make it work and after time, if things doesn't change still, remember, u've tried ur best however just let go and move on. Cos in life, some are just worth it and some are just not. Harsh as it may sound, but there's always the limit.
wooh, its almost 11pm, time to hit the bed. i need all the energy i can work tmrw.
TGIF! Rejoice everyone cos the weekend is nearing!!!!!!!!

Revival of my own speaker's corner
everyone entitles to their own opinion
and i feel this is my very own platform to
say what i want
and
say it when i want.

Nearing the Finishing
the race is really almost over,
one more day grace!
farris and i started our journey here with expectations of ourselves,
to make ourselves proud to exceed and challenge our limits,
to make Raffles, Singapore - the flagship hotel of RHR very proud of grooming us.
And i'm definitely sure that we have given whatever we've got and our mighty strength to contribute in
as many ways as possible.
The profiles of guests we have looked after,
is THE PERFECT icing on my cake and also to end my butler career.
I will be moving on to another ..
Thank You God for everything, because everything happens for a reason.

You reap what you sow
Another kind of attack
this week has been a roller-coaster,
i've gotten so much hits that i've built up a very strong armour,
nothing is going to get me down.
smart of chinese,
if they can't outwit they will launch emotional attacks,
and its really quite sickening,
i feel like i go into a new battle everyday.
sometimes it gets so frustrating, really.
Thankfully,
in 4 days i end my working stint here,
and 7 days i return back home, to where i belong.
I hope all of you please make the world a better place for everyone "Do not do what you do not want others to do unto you".

Working in Beijing
Culture here is so different,
communication here is difficult,
we are putting in at least 14 hours of work,
sometimes doing more than we should,
and bear more responsibilities than those who should,
its hard and sometimes edging.
another 24 days to go,
with God i can do it!

Spotted On Straits Times, Friday 25th July
I woke up to smses of "Grace, you're on the papers"
and oh boy was it a pleasant surprise indeed,
the only thing was why did they choose that photo of mine,
they should have put that Team photo we took by the flags at the lobby.
Thank you all for bringing that smile to my face.
Team Raffles is trying their best here in Beijing!

Thoughts all over
This entry will show my thoughts all over the place - just bear with me ok?
Dorm living
It has been two days since moving to the dormitory,
its two blocks away from Raffles Beijing,
the ladies are on level 2 and men on level 5,
our toilets are located outside of our living compound,
shower that do not work well,
lights that are synchronized with just one switch,
an office space converted to dorm living just for us,
that explains why i haven't been updating much.
Experience
The past three days have been quite a great experience for me,
jitters, butterflies you named it i experienced it,
i can't imagine life under the spotlight.
Weather
Weather-wise it has been damn hazy and polluted here,
looking out from the hotel,
i cannot see the building just 500 metres away,
its really bad,
i don't even feel like going out.
The temperature is heating up,
making all of our skin dry and peel,
as my cousin would say "pile on the moisturizer"! haha =P
Interesting
Oh ya forgot to mention,
Davis my colleague from Raffles Singapore came to Beijing,
and we have been hanging out,
he brought us to this restaurant called 1001 nights at Dongsishitiao,
20-30 minutes taxi ride to the venue,
the place was beautifully decorated,
belly-dancers for entertainment,
and sesha to smoke. hahah.. food wise arabic style - not bad, can recommend guests!
Beers are cheap here!
1 can of heneiken cost 9RMB = $2 sin dollars - cheap right?
Coming up
This sunday the company have organized a tour for us whic includes:
- Great Wall of China, Hutong Province and Chinese Boxing
The next time i hope i have pictures to share! Take Care
xoxo

First Work Week
It has been a roller coaster first work week!
the UPS and the downs.
The hotel is beautiful and unique in its own way such like every Raffles property.
The basement is the exact opposite, if possible i avoid going there.
All my colleagues at Raffles - our basement is WAY WAY much better than here.
Our staff canteen food is considered heavenly as compared here. So let's not fuss about it yea?
In this week at work,
we changed all the bathrobes, all the bath-towels, placed in extra hangers in all 171 rooms and suites,
not forgetting stripping the rooms or suites for renovation/maintenance and having to place it back again,
an average of 10-12 hours of work,
my feet is screaming HELP!
thank goodness we've passed this phase so NEXT please!
*For the UPS i had, i'll disclose privately, ask me!
