Am perplexed/confused(?). Need to get that matter out of my mind. Perhaps I’m imagining a tad too much man.

Xiaoen, you need to stay focused man! Focus focus, hocus pocus.

I’ve got nothing to post about, so long for now.

Already & Identity

Teared after reading;
Thank you :’)

Can.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Whatever title deems fit.

Xiaoen resolves to become a vegetarian and love Math wholeheartedly.

Okay forget about the vegetarian part. But I need some sparks for Math, seriously. Like some passion, maybe. Yeahhhhh baby! It’s true that you’ll tend to do better in subjects you love. And I’m a complete language-humanities person. How ironic right? If you don’t love the subject, you wouldn’t feel like studying for it, the deeper you’ll plunge! *growls*

Aye, I want to do something about my life. Seriously. Am currently just living everyday day by day. Okay perhaps it isn’t even that long. I go by the hour. I have no other goals in life except to become a teacher one day. Aaaand the Math target we set in class today. Will be contented if I can hit my target of 65%.

I want to do something with my life also. Have a purpose, a meaning, a chance to make myself useful.

Honestly speaking, my spiritual life is in the shackles right now. And I’m not really doing anything about it. Sigh, I become torn when I think about God still standing there. Sorry, God. ): I seriously pray for strength and motivation and new vigour.

My life needs rejuvenation man! Revival, people. If you’re reading this, and you’re feeling exactly the same way as I do, here’s just to let you know that I know exactly how you’re feeling. Perhaps our predicaments vary in degrees, but you’re not alone. (And neither am I, right?) Am running out of words; want to type in words of encouragement but it’s difficult when you’re plunged in yourself.

But life is good, on the whole! I thank God from the bottom of my little heart for all the people around me. Mommy for knowing me inside out like a worm in my belly. Dad for being there as he is. Friends, esp tenners and batchmates, for bringing so much joy in my life. Really, you guys are awesome people (: Life in The Four Ten Classroom has been loud, happy and crazy these days. Thanks to the people sitting all around me man! Even when things become overwhelming and blah, the happy clouds in our class will still hang around. I like my class (: And to the close friends around me (you know who you are!) who’ll always show their love, you guys really really mean a lot, and here’s to let you know that I’ll always be there when you need me too (: thanks guys! <3

Am off to meditate and think about life, so long (;

Bedok Sports Hall, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 - Nanyang Girls’ High School stunned Singapore Sports School with a 28-23 victory, earning themselves a place in the final against CHIJ (Toa Payoh) Secondary School in the National B Division Netball Championship.

The West Zone champions put up a marvellous display to score a major upset against the national defending champions who were expected to win.

Right from the start, Nanyang were able to maintain a two-point lead over the Sports School, walking off with a 7-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. Nanyang played a fast-paced game to match the Sports School’s game of speed and aggression. They were not threatened by the Sports School and were not afraid to show it, putting up a commendable defensive game. With both teams playing at a very fast pace, the ball seemed to be flying from end to end in a very short time.

The Singapore Sports School used the second quarter to narrow the gap and even it up at 7-7. Both teams continued to keep pace with each other up to 9-9 but Sports School got called for frequent unnecessary fouls to give Nanyang possession.

Via these turnovers, Nanyang hit back with three straight points which led to more frustration for the Sports School players who ended up turning over the ball even more. Nanyang grabbed the lead back from the Sports School and this applied more pressure on Sports School whose shooters more nervous and less accurate.

On the other end, Nanyang shooting stretched their lead further and they entered the half-time break with a five-point 15-10 lead.

Down by five points, Sports School made a quick change with captain and regular Goal Shooter, Geraldine Ng, coming on court despite carrying an ankle injury. Her presence inspired her team to attack harder but Nanyang did not back down. They continued to pressurize Sports School by playing faster and constantly surprising their opponents.

It was a spectacular performance by the Nanyang team, as they defended their lead. The Sports School attempted to overcome Nanyang’s defences by picking up their speed but Nanyang responded by increasing their own game speed even more to give Sports School less time to to intercept and block passes.

Sports School started the final quarter playing catch-up but found Nanyang disrupting their rhythm frequently. The game swung from end to end with both teams scoring but Nanyang managed to hang on to their lead to finally emerge 28-23 winners over Sports School.

Nanyang’s captain, Cheryl Lee was very proud of her team.

“Although there were a few glitches here and there, on the whole, everyone put in the effort and played hard,” she said. Sharing her thoughts on her previous game, Cheryl revealed that her team had learnt a lot from their experiences in the previous round and they are learning to “treasure every match and put in our best.”

Geraldine, the Singapore Sports School captain, was proud of her team for playing their best. “We still have a long way to go.” She said that two first team players, Yunzhen (GD) and herself (GS), were carrying ankle sprains. Yunzhen was unable to play but Geraldine still went on the court despite her injury.

The Sports School will play Dunman Secondary this Friday in the 3rd/4th playoff.

Nanyang Girls’ will play CHIJ (Toa Payoh) in the final this Friday at Bedok Sports Hall.

Best wishes to all teams!

Life is so mish-mashy

Cried like crap just now ):

Things like that always happen to me. Yesterday, fever. Today? Win.

And I think to myself, “So now what?” In Sec 2, the same thing happened when I fell right before my first ever Thinking Day Parade. Now, train so hard for Pioneer badge, fall down, same ankle’s sprained. You win, Xiaoen.

Urgh freak. Will see how tmrw. Should still be able to manage actually. Pray!

On a sidenote, first trip ever in my short fifteen plus years of life on this planet to the Chinese doctor just now to rub my (freaking lousy) ankle. Almost died. I was screaming, wincing, cringing, screaming, screaming, screaming and more screaming. And the person was very amused okay! RAHHH. ):

Tmrw- Geog block test, NE validation interview, Pioneer trg, PSLC mtg, CIP. Missing the superball and slime though ):

Give me strength, Lord!

Mother said just now, “God didn’t let fall. He protected you when you fell.”

To end this off on a happy note, CONGRATULATIONS NANYANG NETBALL, NATIONAL CHAMPIONS-TO-BE! oooooooooooooooooohla! :D believe in yourself and fight all way ah!

Xiaoen you too, believe in yourself and fight all the way ah!

And although the clock’s struck 12 and it’s the beginning of another day already, but,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERYNN TAN XUE YING TONG XUE :D Cherynn

MY TEMPORARY-CRAZY-FUNNY-LEFT-TABLEMATEY-WHO-ALWAYS-CHATS-WITH-ME-IN-CLASS-AND-WE-BOTH-KENA-STARED-AT-BY-THE-TEACHERS-HAPPY-FRIEND :D Even though I still really don’t like Math and you really don’t like Lang Arts (why!!!) but yay that way we can teach each other and help each other along! go remove that extra ‘n’ in your name lah it’s so extra. stop drawing on my notes and worksheets you retarded pok and we should 讲华语 more often! :D i love listening to your stories about your matches! happy birthday and stay happy! you’re a nice person and an awesome friend. happy birthday again! For someone special (:

Almost forgot the most important thing today!

Before the clock strikes 12… …

Happy Birthday, Huier!!!

(See your name’s intentionally typed in RED :D)

Wonder if you’ll see this but anw you’ve been an awesome friend and I really thank God for you (: Haha we get mad at each other sometimes (okay wait make that alot of times) but I really do treasure our friendship and let’s both keep learning & growing (; I pray that He will continue to watch over you and shower you with His bountiful blessings! Keep smiling and always remember you’ll always have a friend here standing by you (: Take care, Choo! <3

Down with fever, didn’t go to school today. Much better already though (: thank you to everyone who sms-ed their well-wishes! :D

Siyan’s sms made me chuckle out loud. It read, “Xiao en have a good rest! be strong:-D” There I was lying on the bed, y’know-that-i-want-to-die feeling-when-you’re-down-with-a-fever, then i read her sms and instantly felt better. Thank you my funny friend :D

I was thinking if I was down with dengue or smth. O: Cos I got bitten by *&^%$#$ mosquitoes during pioneer trg ytd morning. Darned mosquitoes! Haha anyways the image of people gathering around the hospital bed floated into my brain again. Was thinking about who’d come and visit me. Then all the people crying and all that.

I can see Kakay rolling her eyes already.

Anyways! Yours truly recently launched the “Speak Chinese at Home” Campaign :D It was a spur of a moment thing, but I thought my family should really try to speak more Mandarin. When I was young we used to speak Mandarin at home, but when I started schooling we became angmoh-lised. Anyhow, it’s not good to be monolingual, so here’s an effort to brush up on my Chinese and become more effectively bilingual. How about you, my friends! Remember the little french girl, Noemi, who can speak perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect Mandarin?

14042009
Hahahahah, the launch signage I stuck on top of the television. :D

Anyways Kakay Audrey and I went to Huili’s house yesterday! That’s one new year’s resolution struck off my list. :D Gosh her house is woah! I like her dog alot!!! It’s totally unlike Toffee lah - -“ It’s super obedient O: Changed my impression of Jack Russells (: but it was quite dejavu-ish, felt like I’ve been to her house before :/ Hmmm… Anyway, I’d love to go to her house more often to play/do homework! :D It has a nice atmosphere (: (Huili if you’re reading this, *hinthint*) Audrey and I bought Hana Maki from Edo Sushi also! Lip-smacking awesome.

hana maki
Favourite sushi :D

Title-less!

‘Ve got stuff to post, but am feeling a leetle lazy to. Will try to get as much out before the blogging bug leaves me!

Anyhow! Enrolment Ceremony 2009 yesterday; honestly there was a lot going through my mind whilst standing there. A major mish-mash of emotions. Sec One doesn’t feel that long ago, really. First CCA session in Guides wasn’t too long ago, y’know. Hmmm… (I remember Claire, my PL, Jiayun was my Sec 3, and then there was Zihui… and who else?)

Oh, on that note; it’s difficult not to be senior-conscious and all that. We’re all very naturally afraid of seniors, but I really wish I’d got to know my seniors better then. Don’t really have much impression of Claire, really, but hopefully she’s still happy wherever she is now, maybe she’s forgotten me already. I was really afraid of Anna in Sec 1, (and still am.) It was a fear out of fear and awe. She’d stand in front of the company and count down, then down 1, down 2, down 3… And it’s weird, cos’ I do that now too. But a lot of other stuff are different too. Stuff that I’d never really imagine my seniors do. The way our batch has led the company is very different, some things have improved for the better, but there are others also, which have a way to go in improving. (: ‘Ve got slightly less than 2 months before we let go and pass on gradually, gotta do the best that we can.

Seeing the new Guides receive their trefoils from the Guiders made me feel really funny inside. I remember Miss Ong (then, now Mdm Ong) pinning the trefoil on me. And that trefoil’s been pinned on my uniform for the past four years now, from my first parade, to Farewell’08, when suddenly a realisation hit me that I’d become the CL of the company.

I wanted to join netball or modern dance in Sec 1; and honestly speaking, I’ve had quite a few bouts of regrets about not doing so. I might not even be here in NYGG today if floorball’d successfully started as a CCA in Nanyang when I was in Sec 2 (was it Sec 1 or 2? Can’t rem.).

But looking back, I’m glad I stuck around. I doubt I’d be the Xiaoen I am now if I wasn’t in Guides. (Goodness, wonder what I’d be man!) Haha! Subconsciously, unknowingly, being a part of this entire company/family’s shaped me into who I am now. I don’t know, in many different ways; acceptance, the way I see things, view people, do stuff… Guides has taught me a lot, through seniors, Guiders, batchmates, juniors also. And I’m really really thankful. Nearing the end of four years already,(factoring in semi-retirement mode) it’s quite fuzzy and nice looking back. Four years’ been a long time, then again not that long, but I hope my juniors will be able to cherish and gain as much as they can in their four years also. Soon the Sec 1s who’ve just officially enrolled will become seniors who’ll be teaching their juniors. Our batch has agreed to try our best to stay active even after we  graduate! Hopefully we’ll still be able to meet up and come back.

Aiyoeh, the blogging bug is flying away already lah! Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. Some other random stuff, will just list them in point form-

- Am so disappointed with Celia in America’s Next Top Model! Bleargh but I think she regretted telling Tyra also lah. Episode 6 looks sour. Hopefully the challenge/photoshoot will be nice though.
- Was reading Wong Lilin’s blog just now. Her blog is really really nice to read man! Love her posts. She looks awesome on the 8Days cover too, btw.
- The Ellen Degeneres brings a lot of joy to my life.
- CIP today was really cool (sorry, can’t think of a better word!). Will gladly volunteer myself if there’s another food drive next time! It’s amazing how every little beetle thingy all added up to make this MASSIVE collection. Every little bit counts. And Singaporeans are not that bad, lah! :D Right foot/ankle was hurting quite badly in the morning, but gave up in the middle of distributing flyers and pulled out the ankle guard. Whoo but it’s better now, I think all the walking twisted it back to normal. Rah I want to go learn contemporary dance!
- Swapped MSN names with Sandy yesterday; it was hilarious man. Will need to refer to convo log, can’t remember the details. Will post on your blog soon man!
- Agreed to something which might possibly be the craziest thing that can happen in my life so far. Will update on sunbeamm after Tuesday lol! Exciting~
- PGA’s coming up real soon! Oh oh there’s PSLC also! (Evelyn…~)

Aiyoeh this post is abit here there everywhere. Whoo can you see my effort in typing in proper English and cutting down on smileys! I am adjusting so that it doesn’t become such a bad habit that I’d feel like writing short forms, lower case and drawing smileys in exam papers. I used to blog in lower case for everything, including names, left out the apostrophe in ‘dont’ ‘wont’ ‘cant’ also. Wrong wrong wrong! Proper English man.

Have gazillion photos to upload on sunbeamm, batch blog and company website. Will do so hopefully soon. Ooh was looking through image gallery in my handphone just now, many interesting photos, will share soon. Got quite a few interesting shots at Enrolment and CIP too. Aiyoeh people always shy away from my camera, make me so sad. Must smile and be sporting leh! Bleargh I want to get a camera with a faster shutter speed! Really cool ones, then I can sneak up on people and catch them in their natural state. Muhahahaha. I want to master the art of taking people before they can react.

I owe many people birthday presents! Cherynn’s Huier’s Charmaine’s birthdays are coming up! Sian I’m still quite a long way to go before I turn sixteen. Ah ah ooh ooh Nanyang Netball got in Nationals Round 2! *screams cheers and hops around* THAT’S SO AWESOME RIGHT. Hopefully things will continue to go well for them and history will be re-written!

Yawn this wasn’t meant to be a long post but it turned out to be one.
Farewell, friends.

Incoherence.

Oh, darn. How now?
It’s there, you’re there, you’re gone, I’m here, I’m not.

I don’t even have a clue what I’m uttering.
