How to download paid apps for free

In my previous post, I introduced Cydia to you people. Here's another post that needs to use Cydia. I'm going to teach you how to install "Installous" to your Iphone 3GS. ON YOUR WIFI before doing all this.

1. Open Cydia, tap "Manage" on the bottom
2. Tap on "Sources"
3. Tap on "Edit" on top right and "Add" on top left.
4. Type in http://cydia.hackulo.us Cydia will warn you about copyright information just tap ok.
5. Wait for it to be added and updated.
6. Install Appsync for OS 3.1
7. Install 'Installous'
8. Launch installous
   
9. Search for your desired apps and click download from AppSync (highest .ipa better).
   
10. Click on 'Downloads' to monitor the status of the app.
11. After it reaches 100%, tap on the app and install.
    

Thats it! Simple tapping steps.

When You Wish Upon A Star

I started asking myself this question since the beginning of Year 2009. When is my guardian angel or star coming to me? Not that I'm not grateful for the friends I had but where is the star that is supposed to appear in my life? I've always been nice and trying to protect my friends especially the closest ones, being nice to someone doesn't need to have something in return. If sacrifice can lead to great joy of everyone, it's worth it. I can just smile by looking at the sky whether it's bright or dark because I know someday I'll be looking at the same sky but with a different angle and with company.

It's Christmas Eve today! What am I doing here? Wishing upon the star to bless everyone with a BLESSED CHRISTMAS!

How to Jailbreak & Unlock Iphone 3GS 3.1.2

I struggled on doing research on how to jailbreak, unlock the phone, download free apps etc. Now it's time for me to share to my fellow friends. So that they don't have to struggle like I did. Here are the steps to Jailbreak an Iphone 3GS with the firmware 3.1.2 in Windows using Blackra1n. Thanks to GeoHot (founder of Black Ra1n)!

Step 1- MAKE SURE you are using the latest ITunes version (9.0.2). If you're unsure whether you're using the old or new version. Click Help and Check for Updates.

Step 2- Download the latest 3.1.2 firmware for Iphone 3GS and plug in your Iphone. Itunes will pop out, hold "Shift"(on keyboard) and click restore on Itunes at the same time. Find for the file you downloaded previously from the web and click on it to restore.

Step 3- Download Blackra1n and you'll see GeoHot's face there. Click on the Windows logo (beside the Apple) and save the file. Step 4- Click the Blackra1n you've saved and a pop out stating "make it ra1n" will appear. Click on it. (Make sure your Iphone is plugged in to the pc when you click that!)
Ignore the pop out from Itunes asking you to restore before you can connect to Itunes.
It will then enter recovery mode
Once it writes there done and wait for reboot you'll probably see GeoHot's face on your Iphone
Just like this picture. Which means it's jailbreaking.
Step 5- After it's jailbroken, blackra1n will appear as an icon on your Iphone.
This will appear on your Iphone if you didn't unlock after jailbreaking.On your WiFi. Click on sn0w and install it to unlock your phone. It'll take some time for it to search for your sim card network (make sure the sim card is not lock with pin code).
After you click install, there will be a post install Log to say thank you for installing etc. Just close it!

Step 6- Install Cydia and click manage/sources/edit/add. It'll pop out with a window stating http://_________. Type http://blackra1n.com/ and add sources. You'll see it appearing in changes after adding. If you want a clearer picture on what to do. Watch this video. Now, you don't have to jailbreak it over and over again. =). Next post is to install paid apps for free.

P/S: If anything goes wrong, like screen blackout or load for more than a minute, hold the home and power button for 20 sec to reboot or you can restore the firmware and try jailbreaking again.

Jailbreak your Iphone at your own risk though it's free. So far I successfully jailbreak an Iphone using this method.

Creative blogging?

Ever wonder how to make your blog looks interesting rather than the dull old way of blogging?

Lately I've been browsing for blogs to get some new inspiration on creative blogging. I somehow feel that my blog is getting more and more out of date due to the hectic schedule and laziness to update.

Here's a good one!

You can post anything on blog. It all depends on you! Yes, YOU! It's your web. I personally prefer creative blogging and blog everything which I thought of sharing it with people. Some of you bloggers might prefer traditional blogs with more words than pictures but to be honest, people nowadays were attracted by pictures more than words.

Let the blogging tips begin.
1st- All you have to do is upload more cheeky pictures, people will be impressed on pictures like that. Some will say "Wow! where did u get it?" Now is the time for you to be proud of your hardwork on working out with pics. Oh well, it's just a habit using google search! Haha! If you're creative enough, you can actually create your own. Try adding more pictures than words in your post.
2nd- Use more colours in your post. If it's you, do you prefer colours or just black and white like those old reports? Unless if the theme for your blog is black and white then I'll have nothing to say. Everything is supposed to be in black & white including pictures.

Colours could boost up your memory power as well as freshen up your mind!

Even a black white portrait could use up some colours to enlighten the picture

3rd- ENLARGE the words that you want people to notice more or the word that you want to emphasize.

4th- Videos! Once in awhile post some videos for your readers to watch. You Tube should be good enough for basic users. Since it's the most famous web to watch videos. If you like the clip simply download it using YouTube Downloader.

Broadcast Yourself just like YouTube!

5th- Blog about the General Interest not only your personal life. For example post on food, health tips, gossips, music, places, photography etc. Public might not be interested in your personal life all the time unless you're a celebrity. Or else you'll have to start posting things on general interest so that people can't get enough of your blog!

6th- Learn from failure! If you didn't succeed in creative blogging or whatever it is for the first time, it's ok! Try again till you succeed.

Blood Donation

It's that simple to save a person's life. Just donate your blood if you're capable of doing so. Well, it's my 2nd time donating in this year itself (so kind of me. Muahaha!). First time was on 20 Feb 09, donated in my office =p.

The most common questions from people.

Am I qualify as a donor?
1. Age between 18 to 60.. Ngam ngam! haha!
2. Above 46 kg
3. Had more than 5 hours of sleep
4. Not on medication
5. Didn't drink alcoholic drink for the past 24 hours
6. No HIV/AIDS

Procedure?
1. Fill in the form
2. Let them check your blood type & haemogoblin (to test if there's enough iron in the body, if blood sinks means you're fine!)
3. Weigh yourself
4. Let them check your blood pressure & ask some questions etc
5. Time to put the needle in! Ouch!!
6. Let the blood flow while your palm squeeze the tube

Where?
1. Can be anywhere, as long as the booth poster is there and we'll find the place from the poster.

Drill competition was errr... rather a disappointment bcoz of the last minute preparation and the team work. As usual, I can't join this comp as well. Reason? The same thing. =.=. Taught the girls for soooooo long on drill but yet, they can't do it correctly.. Why?? Haihzz.. Speechless of them but anyway, at least they tried their best (I hope).

Friday, 27/11/09

Today was a quite carefree day because it's public holiday, don't have to work or study. I spent the whole day slacking at home. Watch tv. LOL! What show? It's very addictive, the show which is currently showing in 'astro on demand', Beyond the Realm of Conscience (Gong Sum Gai) starring Moses Chan(too heavy make-up), Charmaine Sheh, Tavia Yeung, Susanna Kwan, Kevin Cheng etc. It was a great show! Highly recommended! Hahah! The soundtracks were great too! Do you know where to download the soundtracks?It's been awhile since the last time I had a movie marathon like this. I did this routine almost everyday when I just finish my SPM last year but it only last for half a month thn I start working.=.=lll. Time flies! Haihzz.. If only I could turn back time. Studying and working at the same time is a tough task, but I didn't regret choosing this path. Well, I am the one who made this choice, have to be responsible for the choice I made. *sigh*
Anyway, I shall continue with other movies while waiting for the last piece of DVD to be out. Haha! Till then, good night folks!
