County Fair, College & Neighbor Buds

This last week has been pretty eventful! On Saturday night we went out to the good ol' Box Elder County Fair! Don't make fun but I love the county fair, not near as much as I love Peach Days (again, no making fun), but we have to go every year. We didn't go to the rodeo which I was bummed about but we are going to do that from now on. Dax LOVED the rides, could not get enough of them where as I go on the ferris wheel once and want to puke! What is that all about by the way? I used to be able to go on every ride without getting sick and I know it's having kids that does it to you but still, it's weird! Anyway, we went out with my Mom & Dad and my sis Nicole and her family, it was so much fun. Then, on Wednesday we took Katelynn to college - WHAT!?! So weird by the way, in my eyes she is still five sittin on my lap playing with my hair. She is at BYU and we all went down to help her get settled. She is going to have so much fun down there but we are really going to miss her.
Yesterday, Dax had a play date with our neighbor Hudson. They are the same age and they have so much fun together. I've got to admit, it used to be hard on my nerves when Dax would have a friend over but since Talan was born, I LOVE IT!! He gets so bored and when he's bored he will not leave me alone. But....when he has a friend over he is so entertained, he does not even notice me (or Talan). That might make me sound like a bad mom but if you know my child and how hyperactive he is, you'll understand. It's so weird that he is old enough to have little friends that come over and play. He is growing up so fast! Anyway, here are a few pics of the past week!

Wow! That's attractive!!

Nicole has nicknamed him Tyler Bo, the name of her cabbage patch when she was little which I've got to agree he looks like.

Easton & Dax

I wish this pic would have turned out better, it was so cute. Nate pushing the stroller while holding Daxton's hand!

It's been a while.....

Wow, I promise I am going to start updating this thing more! Life has kinda been crazy at our house but someday I am going to get the hang of things. What's been going on..........well, Talan is growing like a weed - he is HUGE! His two month mark was on Tuesday and he doesn't go in for his check up for a couple weeks (busy pediatrician) but I can't wait to see what percentile he is in cuz he's a chunk. Dax is all of a sudden a grown up! Nate asked me the other night when our child turned ten because that is what he acts like. I had a pretty traumatic experience on Tuesday night. Nate was out of town on business and I got home around ten. Well as I was pulling into the garage I ran over our cat - IT WAS AWEFUL! I was on the phone with my mom and I started freaking out. I couldn't get out of the car to look but when I finally did I couldn't find her. She had ran out onto the grass and was not moving. So I went over to my neighbors house and it turned out that her hubby was gone too so then we went and got our other neighbor that we hardly knew. He came over to check things out and said that she was dead and offered to bury her for me. I was bawling my head off, I felt sooooo bad! She was Daxtons kitty and she was so cute. I thought he was going to be so upset but when I told him what happened he said, "It's okay Mama, don't cry." What a terrible night, and I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm a crack head for bawling about running over our cat but that was the worst! So I took cookies over to my neighbor that buried her for us which I'm sure he thought was weird. Anywho, that's my horrible story and I hope none of you think I'm a cat killer which is what Nate's dad keeps calling me - not funny! I can't believe summer is almost over, that was the fastest one yet. Here are some recent pics of the boys:

Talans first jeans and shoes! So cute, I had to get a picture!!

Don't worry, those scratches aren't from Dax, they are from Talan. I have since cut his nails!

Chubs!!!

He is so weird, this is his favorite way to watch TV these days!

Funny story......Dax loves the movie Camp Rock! We have the CD in my car and that's all we can listen to which is lovely! Every time the Jonas Brothers sing together on that show, he has to grab his guitar and rock out with them. It's pretty cute!

Talans Blessing

Talans blessing was last Sunday and it has taken me forever to get these pics on here (yes, I had to get Breaking Dawn read before I could do anything else). It was such an amazing day! Nate gave him such an awesome blessing. The whole day I kept thinking how awesome it was to be sitting there watching Nate give our little Talan a priesthood blessing along with our family and friends in the circle. He didn't cry (Talan), which we were worried he would, my dad told me that he just stared up at Nate the whole time. Dan & Brittany came home from St George and Nate was so excited that he was going to have one of his brothers in the circle. Heather Ann has been here all summer so it was neat that she was able to be here for one of our blessings. Here are some pics from his special day!

Thank you so much to our family and friends that went out of their way to come. It was so special to have you there and it meant the world to us!

NOW......

AMAZING!! I finished it yesterday, (call me Lish)!! It took me forever because I have a newborn but it's all I have wanted to do this whole week. I have to tell you all my experience of buying it because it's funny. It came out last Friday night at midnight and I had reserved a copy at Hastings but I still wanted to go at midnight, I felt like I was missing out if I didn't. So I walk into Hastings at exactly midnight and it was CRAZY! People were were shouting the countdown and there were Edwards and Bellas dressed up everywhere. People had Team Edward and Team Jacob tshirts on - it was hysterical! The lines were broken into categories of your last name (to check out) and when I found mine, there were seriously 150 people in my line alone. So I decided to leave and get it the next day because I would have been there til three in the morning checking out. As I was walking to my car I looked over at Walmart and saw people running out with their copies. So I decided to go try there. I went in and they had two big pallets full but were going quickly. So I grabbed one and checked out (every check stand was opened, just like day after Thanksgiving). People were sitting on the ground reading it, out on the curb, in their cars and the best was the lady (a mother) driving next to me on the way home reading it with her light on as she drove!!!
Anyway, this one is my favorite! I couldn't believe all the twist and turns it took and i don't know about you but I when I finished, I wished I was a vampire! ;) I'm sad that they are over but what a way to end it - WOW!
