Kiss me...quick!

...and don't slobber!! hehehe! My husband used to say that to me when we were newlyweds...and I have no idea what made me think of that now, except that this adorable Sugar Nellie stamp is called "Kiss Me Quick"....

But...before I get to this week's card, I have to ask...did you all have a fantabulous weekend?? And, ohhhhh, did you get the chance to pop on over to Funky Kits and place your order for some of the newest "Adorables" digis? I tell ya...they are the cutest EVER!!! I actually printed my image using a softer, sepia tone ink setting on my printer...giving it a no-line effect! I LOVE Victoria...don't you?!

But...I digress...back to this week's DT post...As I mentioned, I used "Kiss Me Quick" from the Home Grown collection of Sugar Nellie stamps...available HERE at Funky Kits. The DPs are from Authentique's "Wonder" collection...and the cardstock came from Stampin' Up (Real Red & Hunter Green). Here's another view...

I had such fun coloring this little darlin'...I used both Copics and Prismacolor pencils...

E21, 00, 000, 0000 (skin) w/peach & light peach pencils
R20, 000 (cheeks) w/nectar pencil
E23, 53, 51, 50, 35 (hair) w/dark brown & sienna brown pencils
G28, 24, 21, 20 (greens) w/dark green pencil
R24, 22, 20 (reds) w/crimson red pencil

For more info on these cards, please visit my blog HERE. Oh...and please be sure to check back here all week for details on Sugar Nellie's "Blog Hop" this coming weekend. We'll be introducing some fabulous new, deliciously sweet, "Country Cousins" stamps! Whooohooo!

And...that's it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by...and for your kind comments! Until next time...

Hugs,
Pat

Sugar Addicts Showcase Sunday.

Good Morning Sugar lovers!

I am back with my regular Sunday post, to shine the spotlight on a Sugar Addict, and today's lovely lady is Christine.

My name is Christine and I’m a craftaholic! Well, that just about sums me up....I am, hmmmmm, well OK, ‘getting on a bit’, and I have a lovely and very patient other half who spoils me rotten, he puts food in front of me when I get so involved in my crafting I forget to eat! I also have two grown up daughters, and we’ve recently moved up to Yorkshire from the Isle of Wight, to be closer to them – which didn’t work as my youngest then moved to Bermuda to work for a couple of years.. Ah well..
I've crafted since I was little, when I was always making things out of cardboard and felt tip pens.  A true Blue Peter presenter wannabe! Over the years, I have sewn, knitted, embroidered, made lots of American crafts, made jewellery, and now am into cardmaking and papercraft in a big way. I have a small craft room which is jam-packed with stash... but I never seem to have just ‘the right’ colour or DP, and I just HAVE to go buy some more. Know the feeling?
I’ve been blogging for probably about 18 months, and in that time have actually met up with quite a few of my blogging buddies, meeting up at shows, and visiting each other’s houses (craft rooms!)...  they are super people and my life has been made richer because of their friendship. It’s true what they say – the Internet does make the world a smaller and better place!

And this is the beautiful card Christine made for me to show, using the sweet Charlotte. Fairies and glitter...who could ask for anything more?

This fabulous card uses the image Delia. I love Christine's soft and delicate colouring.

A fabulous festive card this time made with Little Apprentice
Christine loves her little fairies with a good sprinkling of glitter too- just like me then - but she does make non-fairy cards also.

Christine has used Cherry Pip for this card. I love the richness of the reds and the embossing.

I have met Christine a couple of times at the Harrogate craft show. You know when you meet someone for the first time and start chatting and feel like you've known them for ages? She is one of those lovely people that when I met her I knew we would be friends. I just wish we lived a little closer to each other so I could meet up with her more often. She's a lovely lady, and very funny (mad as a hatter really!)
Please go and pay a visit to Christine's blog and leave her some love.

On another subject, did you all enjoy the gorgeous cards made by the DT yesterday with the new digi Adorables? I thought the cards were all simply stunning...they are such a clever and talented bunch.
I can't wait to see the cards they make with the next new batch of rubber babies. Didn't I tell you there would be new rubber coming soon...very soon :)

Thanks for looking.

Thank you so very much for all of your hard work ladies!

Remember as these are digi stamps, these are an instant sugar fix....

These are highly detailed and have extra shading to help with colouring.

{Please remember our ToU, in buying you are automatically agreeing to abide by the rules.
Let's play fair girls, the artist although un named still surfs the internet to see how her artwork is recieved and
I does upset her to see people taking advantage of her hard work in selling her artwork on to others}

RUBBER!

As you all know from Karens post yesterday, this month we celebrate Sugar Nellie's 4th birthday.
Karen will start the party this Saturday with the release of some new Adorable digis, but I know another little secret....shhhhh don't tell anyone but over the birthday month there will be more releases...and not just digis either, but lovely rubber too! There are lots of surprises in store, so keep checking back here.

Now that I've shared that exciting bit of news with you all...

Today there is a new challenge over on the Sugar Bowl and as always the Sweeties have made a gorgeous selection of cards to give you a little inspiration.

Erika did the sketch for this challenge, and her divine card uses the image Posy Pip. A simply gorgeous card Erika.

My Sugar Ma'am Gayle created this perfectly pretty-in-pink card with the stamp Rosie..you must love her too as she has sold out..more stock due in soon.

And Sarah used one of my favourite Sassy stamps Carnival Balloon to create her beautiful and colourful card.

I hope you can all find some time to get crafty and ink up a Sugar Nellie stamp or digi and join in with our sweet challenge.

Thanks for looking.

More Adorable's

Hello Sugar Addict I am back with a few words again.
I had a great trip down to Glasgow to the SECC show *big waves to all the girlies* and I am back home to catch up on some work. Best of all I am planning our birthday celebrations.
OH MY Sugar Nellie is 4 years old!
and every years I say the same.....THANK YOU
because without you there would be no need for me to bring out new stamps.

We have one of the best and most loyal following of any rubber stamp company of our comparable size.
The crafters who follow the blog and more importantly comment so that I knew I was not sitting here talking to myself most of the time, and the girls on the Face Book group all keep me in tune with what you want.
If I can find it and bring it to you, I will.
We are diverse in the artwork we have at our disposal because I am not the artist in this business, variety is the spice of life as they say, and I work with a good few different sources, {all top secret,} to bring you the images that you all love so much.

Come back on Saturday where I will get this party started with some new ADORABLE's for you!
These are digital down loads for a quick sugar fix.
That's only the start of it, so don't miss a thing.

Knitted with Love

Hello, it's Jenn here : ) I hope everyone had a great Halloween for those that celebrate it! I know my kids had a lot of fun, and I can't be the only one who sneaks the kiddos candy?! It's for their own good, I tell ya!

Christmas preparation has FINALLY started at my house!

Yes, this is the first card I've made this season.... it has come way too fast this year!

I used the sweet fairy, Knitted With Love. I thought she worked beautifully with the Basic Grey paper, Eskimo Kisses. I needed an image and paper that would hold interest on their own without a lot of embellies since I haven't given myself a lot of time before I'll need to be mailing my family's cards out. I dyed the white knitted flower with Glimmer Mists- just one spray for this lighter red. Added some stickles to her wings and the tips of her scarf. I mixed stickles and flower soft for the edge of her hat, it has a really different texture.

Thanks for looking, I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
