BIG SMACK

I want to smack the people who continue to sell stamped images when it is clearly stated in our Angle Policy and it is a blatant violation of our copyright. I feel very strongly about this, it is hugely damaging to the stamp companies and I have discussed this subject only last week with the representative of Penny Black. I know that Hanglar & Stanglar feel the same and I do read other stamp companies Angel Policy to see if they too are aware of this bad practice.

I have today emailed 4 Internet sites to make them aware that they are in fact violating our copyright. If the images stay on their website for sale I will name and shame them.

I did not wish to bring this to your attention but the disrespect shown to us, our artists and you our paying customers has angered me greatly.
How can we grow and flourish when other people take advantage of our hard work. Copyright is a can of worms but in our case it clearly says NO SELLING OF STAMPED IMAGES, how much clearer do we need to be, or are these "cowboys" not interested in rules only making money by selling our artwork and that of other stamp companies against copyright law.

Angel Policy
Sugar Nellie welcomes artists who would like to use our stamp images in their own hand-stamped craftwork that they produce to sell. Therefore, we give permission in the form of a limited license to use any Sugar Nellie stamp images for the purpose of creating craftwork for sale, under the following criteria:Each craftwork created for sale must be personally and individually hand-stamped by the selling artist and may not be reproduced or copied in any form by any means, graphic, electronic, or mechanical, including photocopying. Mass production, assembly-line construction, production by workers for hire, or syndication of hand-stamped craftwork for sale is strictly prohibited. This includes selling stamped sheets. All Sugar Nellie images are copyrighted, which means that they may not be copied without permission.

Gorjuss day

Well it has been a gorjuss day here in Scotland, not only are 99% of orders away to the local post office but we have had a lot of visitors in the house of sugar offering their help as we cope without our number one sugar slave.

With so many of you waiting for your Gorjuss stamps I am on the look out to see what you do with them, there will be a Gorjuss challenge over at SCS where you could win the 2nd set of Gorjuss stamps and they are stunning.

Tracys News

I received a call from Tracy's DH this morning, she was taken by ambulance to hospital last night after a fall. The Doctors are planing on operating this morning to put pins in her bones to help with the recovery, I believe its her ankle that was shattered and she will be off work for weeks as she takes the bus to work and its a long walk even to the bus stop when you are plastered and in crutches.

I am still working out how this will effect Funkykits, I will know better tomorrow, Gorjuss Day, what a busy week they had planned, but we will pull together and hope that it does not effect the service you have come to expect from them.

A lot of you know Tracy and will join me in sending her get well soon wishes and lots of hugs mixed in with a mountain of cyber chocolate , I will speak to her later but I know she will be stressed to the max with two little girls to look after and DH due to go away in March ski ing, not to mention her work, which is not important in the grand scheme of things but Tracy is the back bone of FK, its her baby and she gives it 110%., a better employee you could not find.

Hello sugar addicts

Back to work today in the House of Sugar, after our little trip across the border we are home with lots of new ideas. A few sweet promotions on the table, new artwork arriving from the Sugar Nellie illustrators, a new contract in the post and lots of great ideas to follow up.

The girls over at the Sugar Bowl have been busy, lots of sweet creations which are a delight to see. Thank you girls for all your hard work, your participation is very much appreciated.

It was lovely to meet up with Marlene, we will all have a brilliant time in July, I cant wait.
But for the rest of the week we will be busy with Gorjuss Girls and then its time to see what you all do with them.

Its a while since we gave away some candy and with 250 followers its time to share out the sweeties. If you are a follower, watch out I am going to be following you and picking some candy winners.

Annie looking out of a window, so that's 4 out of 6 you have seen, only two more to go.
Gorjuss pre orders close over on Funkykits this Monday, with the international orders going out next week they are being kept busy. The new Leanne Ellis will be available towards the end of the month once all the sell outs are re stocked too. Tracy has been doing overtime to keep up with all the goings on in the House of Sugar but she is loving it, maybe because she knows whats coming next :)

One for Laura

The girls over on the SUGAR NELLIE members company forum were asking for a peak, this one is for Laura and all the other growing followers of Leanne Ellis. We know next to nothing about Leanne, I have no idea even how old she is, 16 or 60 I have no idea, all I do know is that I love her work and that is enough for me.

Marlene and Tiets have both been sent their Gorjuss stamps, both these lovely ladies have other things going on at the moment and every one at the House of Sugar is thinking about them, I only hope that when they open their mail its a nice surprise and makes them smile. They both now have time to play with the new stamps so that we can show you nearer the time what lovely and different cards you can make with them. Gorjuss pre orders as still open and going well, remember too that the gifts we have to give away will be given to some of the lucky folks who pre ordered and you will not know until you open you packet if you are a winner :)
