Lil Miss had a dizzying good time and then we ran back to the car, stripped off our costumes and headed back to the ballfield.  Do you think anyone will share their candy with big brother?

Best Baseball fan - ever Oct 2010

Lil miss decided she wanted to venture out on her own at the game.  So I snuck over to see what she was up to.

So my lil friend likes to play around while I get dressed and do my hair.  One day she sat on the floor, with my make-up.  She asked me if she looked pretty and I said, "uh...sure."  Then I lifted her up onto the counter so she could see for herself.

 She did a double take in the mirror and then blurted out, "Holy Cwap!  I looks like a monstuh".

She was a little concerned that she had ruined her looks.  After I assured he the makeup would come off she decided it was pretty funny.

Mexican Jumping Bean

...minus the Mexican.  Lil Miss Carlie is a jumper.  She loves her some trampoline time.  And the best part of watching her jump...staring in amazement at the wackiness that is her hair.

I have to admit...she gets some air when she jumps.  I don't think I jump that high.

Josh's Baptism - Sept 2010

So our cute little Josh turned 8 and joined cubscouts

And was baptized.  One glitch...his baptism was on opening game day for football, so we had this well coordinated plan for getting everyone where they needed to go.  It all hinged on what order they did the baptisms and how many kids there were. There were a lot of kids and we thought...ooooh boy...this may not work out.  Then they announced our ward would go first...we did get some strange looks for the high fives and cheering.....kidding!

......spoke to soon.  I am going to chalk this up  as....It is not cool to show brotherly love with a hug...so this is the next best thing.

Grandma Barb is in the house - September 2010

Grandma Barb has come to town for Josh's baptism...which means we will be trying something new.  Lucky for me, my parents have watched the travel channel for years and they can tell me all the cool things to do in the town I live in.  One year my dad had us go to Central Market, which turned out to be pretty cool.  This year...Grandma had watched an episode about Round Rock Donuts.  Off we go...

"What is so special about Round Rock Donuts?" you might ask.  Well get a gander at these....

Look at the sheer joy on Jacob's face.  I don't even know if Josh could hold that up longer than 30 seconds.  Look..they are bigger than Jared's head.

Time for some serious munching!!  Josh looks like he is starting to regret this.

Nobody finished their donut, although there was a valiant effort by Jacob and Jared.  In the end they had to admit it was too much.  All in all, we give Round Rock donuts a major thumbs up.

And what goes with donuts better than homemade rootbeer?  Nothing, I tell ya.  So off we went to make homemade rootbeer. (see the stack of donut leftovers on the counter?)

It's all mixed up and the excitement mounts as Mr. Science prepares to add the dry ice.

There it goes!  Things are bubbling now!!!  I love how Josh has his arms behind his back and is watching from afar,  like an official observer at an experimental government lab. 

 Even Dad, who was somewhat disinterested gets lured in by the smoky fun!  Ha ha ha..

 Lil Miss has just danced around the edges so far.  She isn't quite sure what all this is about.

But with a little coaxing....

Yay Baby!  It's a party now!!!!  Go for it girlie..stick your whole head in there.....Goofball.

Oh yeah!  That is some good stuff!!!!!!
