Opps Done it again!!

Sorry again. I have been a bit naughty and not done any posting for a while!

Since I last put a posting on my blog, lots has happened. On 26th November I had a stall at the Walberton Craft Fayre where I met lots of lovely ladies, who I hope will go on to host one of our mini card classes. It was a very festive evening and made me feel that Christmas was well and truly on its way.

Also Helen and I have done another class at The Windmill and a couple of mini classes at my house and at Mum's.

Well Christmas is steaming towards us and the kids have broken up from school. Most of my Christmas cards have been written and sent. Pressies almost wrapped and decorations about to go up. Just the turkey to buy and I think I am almost there!

Once I have done all that and I have a bit of time to myself, I will start putting together some more selections for our mini card classes ready for next year. Helen will be busy making up the packs for the next two classes which are featured on the classes page. Please let me know if you want to come and join in the fun and I will make sure that Helen has a pack with your name on it!

I am also now taking bookings for parties and mini card classes for 2011, so give me a buzz if you want to organise one for you and your friends and relatives.

Well the house is stirring so I had better go and get the show on the road.

Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to you all.

Christmas is Coming

Hello, hope you are well.

Once again I have to apologise for being quite for a while. Helen and I have been so busy again!

We have been to the annual Stampin' Up! convention at Addington Palace in Croydon, where we spent two days with like minded people picking up new ideas and tips, ready to pass on to you. When I get a mo I will post some of the fabulous swaps we made with other SU demonstrators.

We have also been getting all our November and December classes prepared ready for you and have even started thinking about next year! Scary isn't it!
On Monday we did two classes at the Windmill. One at 2.30 and one at 7.30, where we made six Christmas cards. Here they are.

The next class is on the 13th December when we will be decorating a Christmas candle and tin along with a tri shutter card. Please let me know if you would like me to reserve you a place.

Project Photos

Here as promised is a photo of the projects we made on Saturday. We also made a Tri Shutter card. All the projects used Stampin' Up!s Jolly Holly papers and matching card.
Each lady had a goody bag, which included spare papers, gold cord for their tags, a pot of Dazzling Diamonds, along with a personalized note book, pen and bottle of water.
As everybody enjoyed the day so much and all wanted to do another one, Helen and I will be planning and plotting and will hopefully be putting another Craft Extravaganza together for Spring next year. So keep watching for further details.

Craft Day Update

Wow what a fantastic day we had yesterday. The feedback at the end of the day was great and I would like to thank all those that came and helped make the day as good as it was.

The ladies made six projects which included a decorated bottle tube, paper ribbon, tag box with acetate lid, a treat bag and two cards.
They all went home happy the end of the day but did look a little tired. Next time I promise we will take it a bit easier!
Here are some photos of the day and I will post some photos of the projects in the next couple of days.

Christmas is coming!

Hi still busy! Not only getting ready for Saturday's Craft Day but also preparing for Windmill classes and 5 for £5 classes, which are beginning to fill up! Don't forget if you want to have one of your own and get a group of your friends together for a girlie evening give me a buzz to arrange a date.
Here is a card I have made for one of the classes using a new set called Delightful Decorations and the matching punch. It is really versatile and I will try and get some examples of how it can be used in different ways as soon as I can.
Still a couple of places left on the Stampers Group and don't forget to leave those wish lists around for family and friends to find for Christmas pressy ideas. Make sure they know that I can be contacted at any time and will of course be very discreet!! I will even wrap the gifts for them.
Will let you know how Saturday goes and maybe post a few photos of the ladies in action!

Busy Busy Busy

Hi sorry I haven't posted for a while but Helen and I have been busy getting everything ready for the Craft Day which is now only 2 weeks away. We are both so excited and pleased with the projects that we have lined up. Its just the final bits to do nearer the time that we have left to do now.

Also following the Launch Party it is now time to start thinking about Christmas and we are getting things ready for all the Christmas classes we have lined up. Keep and eye on the classes page and I will do my best to keep it up to date.

Also at the class I had enough people who wanted to join my new Stampers Group to make it a Stampers 10! This means each member only has to spend £15 a month to join and have the hostess benefits. There are still two places left if anyone is interested and it will start at the end of the month.

Everybody that came to the Launch Party thought the catalogue was fabulous and I have to agree. With a large number of items being retired, it has been replaced with some great new products and the new colours give it all a fresh feel. If you would like a catalogue let me know and I can send you one for £5 including P&P, or you can take a look online at http://www.stampinup.com/, and email with your order. Don't forget I accept pay pal, as well as cash and cheques and Stampin' Up have just started to accept credit cards.

What are the benefits?

1. You will receive a free catalogue from me when the club starts.
2. For one month during your ten month membership (two if you take two slots) you will receive a free level one hostess set (Level 2 or 3 if you generate more orders from friends and families or hosting a workshop that month too!)
3. For one month during your membership (two if you take two slots) you will receive your choice of £15 worth of free items from the catalogue (again, more if you can generate more orders during your month!)

When does it start?

It's all Happening

Well its a busy time at the moment. Busy preparing for the launch party on 2nd October and for the Craft day 0n 23rd October. There are still places available for the Craft Day, but we would appreciate a £10 deposit when booking and the balance of the money by 8th October to allow plenty of time for us to get all the bits we need for the day.

Don't forget to have a look at the Last Chance List before it goes on 30th September. As stocks are limited, don't leave it till the last minute!

The new catalogue is released on 1st October when I will be able to order the new products. I have had a sneak preview and there are lots of lovely new items being added to the Stampin' Up! range. All of the designer papers are being replaced so if there are any in the current catalogue you like you need to order them asap, along with any of the coordinating card stock that is retiring.

There will be some increases in the prices in the new catalogue because of the world wide increase in paper prices and to take into account the forthcoming rise in VAT, so buy now to save a few pennies for the future.

Well back from my hols. Although the weather wasn't brilliant it didn't stop us from doing anything, as the washing pile shows. Spending the next couple of days dealing with it then back it full flow for the Launch Party.

Last reminder for those that wish to come to our Christmas Craft Day. I really do need names and deposits this week as the hall needs to be paid for next week and the materials and lunch ordered.

Something different

Thought I would have a go at something different today, so my friend Sally and I dusted off our sewing machines and made these very cute patchwork rag bags. Great fun to make!! Although a lot of tying off to do and a bin full of cotton.
As you can imagine I was not popular with 'him in doors'.

Stamper's Elbow!

Boy was I busy yesterday. I did all the stamping for our Rose is a Rose classes, about 6 sheets in total. It was using the 2-step technique and the stamp-a-ma-jig. It took a while but gosh the results were well worth it. Hope you agree.

Baroque Motifs

Here is a card a made using the Stampin' Up! Baroque Motifs set. I am a bit of a sucker for swirls and the earthy colours used here. As I have used coloured card for the base I have stamped an insert for added interest.

Here is a Bag in a Box I made to other day. I was very pleased with the way it worked out and didn't prove to be as difficult as it looked.
If you book a party, this could be one of the things we could demonstrate.
Don't forget to take a look at the class page, as I have just added some new dates.

Emma's Birthday

This is my first non-crafting entry ever, but I was so pleased with the cupcakes I made for my lovely daughters birthday bbq on Sunday, that I thought I should show you. She has reached the grow-up up age of 13!

Ususally when I make any sort of cake it turns out to be a frisby! So to actually have something that looked like a cake and was edible was truely amazing.

I also almost ran out of time to make her card, but managed to get one just in time. Hope you like the card and cakes. You never know, I might actually make some for one of the classes, if you are very unlucky!

Out with old and in with the new

There is major excitement in the Stampin' Up! world with the announcement today of a shake up of the Standard Stampin' UP! colour families and individual colours.
This is great news for the UK as it means that we get 15 new colours AND we get the In-Colours that the US currently get - that will be 20 new colours to play with.
Now this isn't going to happen from today, but with the arrival of our main catalogue in October. So, I am just letting you know this now for a couple of reasons.
If you are building up your colour collections, you may want to take a look at the list above and only buy colours that are staying.
OR
If there is a colour that you love which will be retiring at the end of September, you've got six months notice to fill up on your inkpads, refills, cardstock colours before you won't be able to get it again.

Here is a better look at the colours that we will be saying farewell to in September:

This is all that we know at the moment but I will be able to share more information with you over the coming months once we know more.

However, in the meantime, we've got six months left of the current catalogue and a BRAND NEW Mini Catalogue to get excited about.

Windmill Craft Fayre

Hi is one of the cards you will be able to make on

I will also be offering the Idea book and catalogue for a special offer price of £2.75, so come along and pick one up. There will also be a raffle in which the first prize is a Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.
See you there Sue

If you order a Home Pack there will be £1 p&p charge, but you will have all the bits need to make all these cards. Dont forget if you order any of the stamp sets used in this project, there will be a 10% discount on them.

It's here the new MINI

The new mini catalogue has arrived with many more new stamps, papers and accessories for you to yearn for. Stampin' Up Markers

I would love to own the full marker set and wonderful storage case from Stampin' Up, but do not have enough money to buy the whole lot in on go. So I wondered if anybody else wanted to join me in a new collectors club? I need 3 more people who will need to spend £28.95, which includes p&p, for the next 4 months. Each month you will receive one of the colour family sets and on one of the months you will also receive the storage case, which keeps both tips of the markers evenly inked. At the end of it all we will all have collected the whole set of markers and the case too.

You might be wondering what you can do with the makers?
Colour stamps for beatiful stamping
scribble on to acetate and use with an aqua brush to give a watercoloured effect
Die ribbons to be the same colour as the papers
Die flowers from the Pretties Kit to match your project
and of course write with them

All this and you know that they will match with the cardstock, papers, brad , ribbons and inks

Send me an email if you are interested. suefarquhar@btinternet.com

Stampin' Up! Club

Would anyone like to join my new Stampin Up club? Its a great way to build up your stash and earn free Stampin' Up products without having to hold a party or workshop. It also spreads the cost of your wish list over a period of time.

The club will run for as many months as there are members. During the period the club runs, each member will commit to order a set amount of products each month on a set date. This means that each month the group will be spending at least £150, which is the minimum amount required to earn hostess benefits.

This is the good bit! Each member will take it in turn to be the "Virtual Hostess" and will receive the hostess gift and £15.00 worth of free products!

Until I know how many people are interested I will not know how much will need to be spent, but it will range from £15 if ten people take part to £25 if six join.

Contact me if you would like to join and I will sent you a free catalogue.

February's Class

We are already half way through January already! How time flies. January's class took place and well done to those ladies who braved the weather. Lets hope we don't get any more of that in a hurry.

February's class will be on Tuesday 9th February at the Windmill Entertainment Centre and we will be making a birthday/celebrations books for all those special occasions.

Advance booking is essential so that we have enough kits made up for all those wishing to join us.
