Balloon Olympics

I found this great idea on my iphone app called "Fun Finder".
Before starting the games I made a quick poster and gold medals. Next we blew up some balloons and it was time to start!
Opening Ceremony of the Balloon Olympics

Balloon Vollyball
I didn't get a picture but we had a balloon obstacle course around the house. You had to go through the course with your balloon between your legs. Great fun to watch and try.
Also we had to bat our balloons for the length of a song without letting the balloon touch the ground. Just turn on the radio and start batting. For older kids you could make it harder by only allowing them to bat at the balloon with their thumb, elbow or even foot!
Awarding Gold Medals

After we had a balloon popping finale!
Have fun creating your own Balloon Olympics!

Letter W

Fun learning the letter W. These cool Wikki Stix were from our flight on Alaska airlines. These great worksheets are from : http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2010/03/prek-letter-w.html

Peanut Butter & Banana Pita

1. Start with a healthy pita

2. Open pita

3.Spread with all natural peanut butter

4. Use your Pampered Chef egg slicer for the bananas

5. Arrange slices on pita

6. Let your kid(s)enjoy!

You could also drizzle the inside with Hershey's chocolate syrup, but then it's not so healthy :)

Hair Bow and Clip Holder

I made this for Christina to hold her hair bows and clips. It was really easy and I used supplies I already had around home.

I used a child's wooden hanger.
Then cut 24in strips of ribbon(4 strips pink and 4 strips daisy.
I used Fabri-Tac to adhere the daisy ribbon to the pink ribbon. Next apply Fabri-Tac to the ends of ribbon to prevent frays. After drying for a few minutes you can use the Fabri-Tac to attach the ribbon to the hanger. Fold about 1/4in of your ribbon over the back of the hanger to keep it looking clean and neat.

Use an embellishment of your choice (I used a pink gerber daisy) to place in the middle of hanger using Fabri-Tac. Let dry over night and then add your hair bows and clips!

Over 2 years Later....

Well I have not blogged in over 2 years. But as I get closer to becoming a homeschooling mother I feel the need to blog this adventure!

Here are some cute pics from Dec 2011
