Catching up!

Well, I was just on my friends blog and realized that it had been 6 months since I posted anything! Sure enough, I went to my blog and there sat July's post...oops! In all fairness, I have had a crazy 6 months! :] So, I guess I better re-cap for those that don't know.
In August, we decided that we did not want to spend another winter in Idaho and we really missed our family and friends. So, we started looking for a place in Utah. We knew that school would be starting soon and we really wanted to move before then. We looked for a month, but really couldn't find anything. We started to wonder if our decision to move was the right one. School was starting in a few days, so we knew that we had to make a decision. We said our prayers on Sunday night and woke up on Monday with renewed determination...we knew that we had made the right decision and that we would find a place. I packed up enough clothes for me and the kids for a week and headed to Utah.
I had 6 places on my list and my first appointment was Monday night. I went to place after place, but none of them seemed right. School started on Thursday, so I was really crunched for time. I had no idea where we would end up renting, so I could not enroll them anywhere. I finally found a place that was very do-able. The price was right and I really liked the landlord. On Wednesday night, I had our deposit check in hand and was headed to his house, when my phone rang. It was a lady calling about another place. It was a place that I had wanted 3 weeks ago, but could never get her to call me back. She met me at the house and I loved it! It was perfect for us! I told her that school was starting, so I needed a decision ASAP. She called me the next day and told me that we were approved. We moved in on Friday and I was able to register the kids at their new school. Jeff brought me some pots and pans and our mattress and we spent our first night here on Friday night. We spent the next 2 weekends packing and moving the rest of our stuff. It was a whirlwind!!
I was so grateful to Heavenly Father for helping us in our time of need. We really wanted to live in a place where we could feel safe and have great neighbors and friends for our kids. We also needed a place that was close to the freeway, because Jeff would be traveling to and from Idaho alot still. I am so thankful for those tender mercies that we are granted. We feel so blessed to live where we do and we love our neighborhood! The place we found is just off the 1200 West exit in Lehi which is very convenient for Jeff.
Jeff is still working for Woodland Furniture. His role is a little different now, but we are so grateful for his job! He has moved into a marketing role, which allows him more freedom. He loves his job now and we hope to be there a long time. He travels once a week to Idaho for work and works the rest of the week from our "home office"...aka Shay's room! :]
We are so grateful for the sweet blessings in our life. We have 4 amazing children who are doing amazing things. We have a great job and a great home. We love each other and are striving daily to become better people. We have a great life and are so happy to finally be back home.
As for the rest of those 5 months...they have all been a blur. We settled into our house. Then it was Shay's birthday, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Years, then Jessee's birthday, then my birthday...then, then, then! So, I am now finally going to get caught up. I have so many pictures to post...so bear with me! haha... Glad to be back!
