[You may have noticed a lack of posts lately - December has flown by! We have had a very busy month but I'll try to get you all caught up.]
As a family, we decided to make our new family tradition to eat Thanksgiving dinner and then decorate our house for Christmas. Mary Beth enjoyed seeing all the lights on the trees. We enjoyed decorating to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The first weekend in December we traveled to Dublin, GA to visit my Granny for her 90th birthday. She is an amazing woman who has been blessed with many years to enjoy life. My mom and aunt threw a huge birthday bash and they sent out about a million invitations. About 250 people came to honor her and wish her a happy birthday. It was a great time! It was also a great blessing to see my brother Eddie for the first time in a long time and Mary Beth got to meet her uncle. (She'll have him wrapped around her finger in no time) Here are a couple pics for you...
After we got back to Spartanburg, Stephen went to Louisville for a week for a class. (Only one more class to go! I can't wait until graduation in May!)
With Stephen back home this week, we have finished our shopping and are ready for Christmas!
There has also been lots of parties and Christmas programs at church - what a wonderful way to celebrate the birth and life of our Lord! Instead of having a big Christmas party for the youth, they packed up the party and took it to a homeless rescue mission in town. It was a wonderful way to serve others and party at the same time. Our youth choir, DAY 6, performed their Christmas concert, Bucky spoke, and then they had plenty of time to fellowship and visit with people at the shelter.
