060209. The magical number. The long awaited ORD date. It has finally arrived. Yesterday, we had the ORD cum Ops handing/taking over parade. Today, i officially ORD. Damn song. Completed my NSF term liao. Now moving into the NSman term. Back as a civillian, freedom. Lol.
Today, woke up at 7am. I went down to S1 office to get the final unit clearance form and the final signatures from the Release Clerk and S1 CPT Ong Lilian. Waited quite long for S1 as she's involved in some event outside. When she finally came back and while signing my clearance, i asked her about the missing best soldier plaque and certificate for June 2008 which i did not get even though i won it. In the end, it was in the S1 office since long time ago and nobody informed me to collect it. So, at least on my final day of service, i was presented with my long lost best soldier plaque and certificate. With it comes a $15 Borders gift voucher and $8 Macdonalds voucher. Yay!
After finishing my unit clearance, i proceeded with a few of my fellow ORD-ing commarades to CAC Seletar to complete out out processing. There, we recieved our pink ic back from the SAF, updated our status on the SAF11B from NSF to NSman and recieved our lovely Certificate of Service, however they still owe me my transcript about my appointments and achievements in the army. After that, we had to sign on the Official Secrets Act form and then we all parted and left.
I went back to my bunk to make my final pack up and then also to say my final farewell to my Sergants, my platoonmates have already left camp and are on off. Took the following pictures.

After taking these pictures as momento, i began the slow walk on the very familiar road out of camp. On my way out, my former PC Edwin gave me a call to congraulate me. Thanks. Thats really very sweet of him. While walking out of camp, i feel a tinge of sadness in my heart. The place which i went through shit and hell is also the place where i made a few good friends whom i know i can count upon, as we have already done so for the past 1 and a half years. Soon, we'll be all be leaving that place. Soon, we'll go our own ways. Guys, keep in touch! I'm sure we will. NS bond guys together by making them go through shit together. Thats just very true.
My ORD is not complete till i recieve my ORD transcript, the other part of the Certificate of Service. They will send it to my house after its ready. Soon i hope. But the most importand thing is still my pink IC. Yay. ORD LOH!
