Back Finally
Just came back from overseas training in Thailand yesterday. Touched down in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 at 6.15pm yesterday. It was quite a great experience for me, operating boats in the river. Exercise details cannot be revealed as it may get me into trouble. So, well. Training was quite tough, but the canteen food was great. Damn cheap also. Things that would cost S$10+ in Singapore cost only less than S$5.
When we were going out for training, and going past the villages, the Thai children will stand by the roadside and wave at us. Lol. Thai people also respect their soldiers very much. They offer them drinks when they are out in the field with us. Not like in Singapore. People care shit about the soldiers.
RnR was quite fun. We had the Royal Thai Army guys escorting us around. They even set up roadblocks for us to go past the red lights. Damn nice Vip treatment la. Visited some kind of a miniature zoo that has just elephants and crocodiles. Watched some elephant and crocodile shows. Nothing much but we still watched nonetheless. After that went some shopping centre for shopping. Didn't really but much cuz not much money left. The things there were only a bit cheaper than those in Singapore. But a bit cheaper also better than none la. The worst thing about the RnR was language. We dunno how to speak Thai they dun really know much English. Then we were waving around pointing around with all sorts of gestures at the fast food chain. Fascinating la. Haha. The Thai people in the camp are okay. They know basic English. Its because Singapore troops always go there la. Those outside of the camp are the ones we have problem with. My dad can speak Thai. So going Thailand with my dad was easy. Now then i know how bad language can be a problem.
Anyway having off till 1st October. After that counting down to ORD liao. It will be damn fast liao la. Seriously. Only two more months of actual working left. Can't wait. Damn. My PC will be going real soon too. So, actually people who enlisted 3 months earlier than me are already pang kang liao. 2 years is not a long time. Thinking back, its really just a blink of an eye. But if u think forward, it can appear to be quite long.
Anyway to those who just enlisted. It may seen sucky. Maybe it really is. But since u die die must go through it, just leave your brains at home and enjoy it. Its really not that bad after all. At least thats for my vocation, can't tell about yours. LOL.

Flying : Destination : Thailand
Its time to get myself prepared liao. Flying off to Thailand really soon. Flight is 0025hours at Terminal 1. So, have to be at the airport by 10pm. I'm sure 3 weeks will pass very quickly, and i will be back home real soon. Will be back on the 25th, timing somewhere in the middle of the night also la. Cuz our chartered flight is always at those odd timings one. Maybe its cheaper la. Timing also haven't confirm. So i also dunno when exactly i will reach Singapore. After that got off till 2nd October. Yay.
Overseas training sure is sian. Its the first time i will be going overseas for purposes other than Holiday. But luckily i'm not part of the exercise troops. So, my life won't be exactly that bad la. Still got some privileges. Haha. Exercise troops have to do deployment, dig shellscrape and all. Looking forward to the R&R, coming back to Singapore, and finally, prepare to ORD loh.
Ah crap. Just survive the training first then think about other things. So to the land of Tom Yum here i come. Sawadee Kap!
