Goodbye 2007, Welcome 2008
Its 31 dec 2007 2359hrs. In less than a minute time, we will be saying goodbye to 2007 and welcoming 2008 liao. Like wad everybody always say, hope that the new year will be a better one ahead, something that does not always happen. Anyway, nothing much to say. Still have to go through another happy new year before ORD.
Today, went out for dinner with my canoeing buddies. Jeremy is missing once again. Heck him. We had some zhe char, and chatted quite a bit. Michael got to book in early today for guard duty. Thats damn sad, having guard duty on new year day. But thats life. Someway, somehow, someone will have to do it.
Nothing much to say. Its already past 12am liao. Welcome year 2008. HAPPY NEW YEAR. Next year, ORD LOH. Lala.

Promotion From PTE to LCP!
This week was quite a slack week for me. Did nothing but book in and book out, all because of the 4NTM standby when the whole batallion is on off. The only significant thing that happened was my promotion from Private to Lance Corporal with effect from 1st of January 2008. Holds not much significance, except for an additional$20 increment in pay, and slightly more recognition as a 9 months soldier. Wad that actually mean is 1 year 1 months more to ORD. Time better pass quick and then in 6 months time, after i get my corporal rank, it will be really close to ORD liao. Can't wait. Rawr.
Did nothing much this weekend. Stayed at home for most of the time. Went out for dinner and a movie with Sergeant Michael. His intake of recruits had arrived and because its a O level mono-intake, lots of jokers. Those are the people who cannot study and ah beng type. Watched I Am Legend at vivocity. Quite a crappy show. Cuz dun really understand the story. Yeah. maybe army is making me real dumb. Hope when i ORD i will still be normal and not retarded or something. LOL.
Soon it will be time to book in liao. Time passed real quick. Booking in to book out again tml. For Happy New Year. Soon we will say bye bye to 2007 and welcome 2008. Yeah.

Lala. Shopping.
Damn. So fast. Its Sunday already. Seriously, another zuo bo weekend. Haha. Thats normal. Hmm. Let me recap on wad i did this weekend.
Friday after bookout, i went causeway point and did a bit of shopping before going down to RP to disturb Angez. Festive season is the best time to do shopping, cuz there will be discounts everywhere. Love shopping, but also very chor. I'm so broke now, having spent more than half a month of pay on clothes. But i'm not done yet. Rawr. Went down to RP to be a nuisance again. So extra. Supposed to help out, but everything in a nutshell is already so well done, and there is nothing left for me to do liao. Things that they still have to do is beyond my expertise. Erm. Wad expertise do i have anyway. Maybe some lame comments that may not seem useful at all. Haha.
Saturday, went market and lunch in the morning as usual with my family. I just stay inside the car and PSP. Don't ask me to shop for groceries. I know nuts. Haha. I just help to eat the groceries my mom buy. My mom is damn good at cooking, baking and just about everything. I'm damn good at eating too. Haha. Afternoon slept like a pig. Supposed to go shopping, but when i woke up at around 3pm, it was raining. So, i went back to sleep. Lala. Love sleeping. Quite waste time, but feels good anyway. At night after dinner, finally i went shopping. Bought like a few t-shirt, a few shirt, one Levis jeans, and yea thats about it. I'm still not done yet. But since i have ran out of cash, so thats it for now. Almost caught the same train as Angez while on my way home. She was doing her fyp planning with her team. Pro. Do everything first then plan. No planning = Low efficiency. Yea. Chatted with Angez on msn till deep into the night. She was busy and i kinda waited. Thats super dumb okay. Crap.
Sunday, thats today. Did nothing again. Slept till damn late. Wake up, do nothing. Played a bit maple for my bro. Its my account actually, but i handed it over to him for playing. StRIkECaL the crusader is level 108 liao. Wow. Thats damn high. That shows that my bro has been playing a lot while i was in camp. Haha. After playing for a while, i went to nap. Rawr. Feels so good okay. Angez disappeared but online today. She must have been too busy to bother about me. Haha. Me nuisance anyway.
Another zuo bo weekend passed once again. Booking in by Monday morning 7am. Its Christmas eve tml. But it bears no significance for me. Booking in to book out in the evening. Thats all. Okay. Off i go to zuo bo again. Lala. I wan go shopping! Rawr.

^^ Playtime.
Yay. Its public holiday again. Public Holiday means playtime. Or rather zuo bo time. LOL. Anyway this festive season is a bad one. Cuz i am on 4NTM standby. Cannot take leave and off. If not, i will be on block leave from today till 2nd of Jan 2008, just like most of the other ppl in the Batallion. Just too bad. Somebody has to be on NTM standby, too bad its my platoon., So, i will have to book in by the nighttime of the public holiday and book iut on the eve of the public holiday.
This week, although till now its just Monday till Wednesday, it felt like a super long week for me. Monday, early morning, kenna tekan by our Platoon Sergeant, because he was very unhappy with sthe performance of some ppl, how they have no respect for authority and assume too much. Maybe he is to be posted out soon liao, so he suddenly siao on again. We were then moving bunks from the behind of the building to the front and then preparing for the RSM stand-by inspection of our bunks. So we cleaned our new bunks till damn clean. Confirm dunno how many times cleaner than my room at home. LOL. Tuesday i went for, and failed the lifeguard selection test. Damn du lan. Cuz i really wanted to go for the lifeguard course. I think its my sidestroke that killed me off. My sidestroke was quite bad. My breaststroke and freestyle was at least quite okay. Argh. There goes my chance. May not even get the chance to go for lifeguard course again. Wednesday, went Safra Yishun for some stupid games day, before going back to camp to complete the trailer maintenance. Games day was just plain stupid. So, yea. Waste time. Trailer maintenance was a no choice have to do equipment maintenance. So after we were dome with that, Book-out.
Went find Angez in RP to help her with her FYP. Art installation. Damn cool okay. LOL. You can never get me to produce something even half as nice as them, cuz i am a complete goner at arts. Haha. Went there to help, but i was not much a help so i was hanging around, mess around and doing things like, " Help me hold that roll of tape," and something like that. Haha. Quite fun. Helped to 'steal' some tables and chairs from the first floor common area into her classroom. Haha. The guys wanted to, but don't dare to move. So i juz helped them la. Haha. Like i said, FYP is so damn xiong for Angez. Scary lor. Hope she gets to rest well tonight cuz she would need to chiong her work again tml. Call me go down mess around again if u don't mind okay. LOL.
Time to slp today. Another zuo bo day tml. Yay. Who cares. So long as its not in camp. Yay.

Accept it. People change. Today's outing was quite a failure. Less than 50% attendance is just that bad. Blame it on me being too anxious. There was nothing i can do about it. Its just so difficult to organise. Busy. Everybody is busy. Just too bad. Not everyone is as free as me. Too free, to be exact. Life of a loner. Maybe thats the new standard. Next time expectation don't be too high. At least when things turn out badly, then i won't feel so sad.
Guessed it yesterday that things would end up this way. Should have went fishing with my father. It has been so long since i last met my friends. It has been even longer since i last went fishing. Bad decision. But like i said, there's nothing i can do about it. Cannot just tell me cannot. Dun keep quiet and at the last minute, or maybe last second then tell me, "Erm. I have something on. Cannot make it. Sorry." Hey. Come on. U know u will be going out with some other ppl. Just tell me u cannot come. I'm fine. Dun just keep quiet. Even if u go out with people u know i do not wish to see, just tell me. Why would i blame u? Just say ppl ask u first. I will accept it. Don't lie till its so fake.
Maybe its just me. But i feel happier like dat. Why go out with ppl u do not wish to see and hear. Its not that i do not wish to see the whole lot of ppl. Its just i do not wish to see that one person. People hang around as a group. If u are not part of the group, u will just be left out and weird. Calling the rest except for that one person will be even more weird. Somehow or rather, that person just mysteriously turn up.

Slash and hack movie. Blood splash everywhere. But quite nice la. Jun Jie joined us for dinner at Swensons. He just came back from Brunei and now he got his Jungle Confidence Course badge to put on his uniform liao. Soon, before he commission as officer, he will complete his Combat Skill Badge also. Plus the IPPT Gold that he already has. Power pack. Life of a cadet, soon to be an officer. Me just a man. Cannot compare. Haha.

Present ^^
Lala. Share with you pictures of my birthday present by Angez, ripped off her blog. Ta-Daa. Muffins made by Angez. She kind of saved the best and last few for me. Thanks! It tasted quite nice okay. Dunno why some ppl says that it sucks. I still alive also okay, proving that they are edible and not poisonous. Haha. I finished all of them when i returned to camp that night. Yea. Thanks Angez for your present. THANKS! Love it.
Today's nights out. So i came home after the swimming meet. Swimming meet sucks. Especially after i just finished guard duty and so damn tired liao, the put my name into the competitor's list. So damn tired and never do any warm up, cuz once i reach there my event was just about to start. Just swim lor. I KO after slightly more than half of the 50m Freestyle relay, and was damn slow. Damn tired and not in the condition to do anything after the swim, i sat there and stared into blank space. Sucks la. My swimming is also not that fast, i just can swim barely well, and they drag me in just because i was going for the lifeguard selection. That was crap la.
Anyway, at first i won't be coming out this Saturday because got attachment to SISPEC. Then later i was to be put on NTM standby and not participating in the standby. Then now, i am not in the standby, but unsure if i am going to participate in the attachment not. Damn. Dunno why they so disorganised. But wad ever, better let me out on Friday night la. So damn tired. I think i will be booking in early so that can slp early today. Just in case they throw me to attachment, i won't be a zombie. Crap la. Dunno wad to say liao la. Think i go back camp then see how la. Bye.

11 Dec 2007 is coming to an end. Soon, in about slightly more than 3 hours time, i will be 19years and 1 day old liao. Okay, i did practically nothing for the whole of today. Slept the whole afternoon. Quite a wasted birthday. But it can't be helped. Everybody is too busy to bother about me. Haha. Its good being a loner sometimes is good okay, peaceful and quiet. Haha. All except for Angez. She is so damn nice okay. In the process of trying to bake me a muffin as my birthday cake this year, she scratched her mom's expensive wok. Sorry! Hope u dun get scolded for it. >.<
A bit Burnt, but thanks! Good effort. Really! I dun know how to use wok to bake stuff. I use Oven. So you are already damn pro liao. ^^

Miracle!
Boo. I'm back! Yay. Its a miracle. Tml is off day for me. So, i will be spending my birthday out after all. So lucky! But price to pay is that Saturday will be spent in camp. Okay la. Actually its because i got a 14 boats SISPEC attachment for Friday and Saturday. So, tml is off in lieu for Saturday lor.

Happy Birthday to Me!
This Tuesday is my birthday. So, i will be 19 years old soon. Haiz. One year older and no longer a kid liao. My birthday wish has been the same for years. That means that it has not been fulfilled yet. Just too bad. It will stand for one more year. Haha. No official birthday celebration for me this year, as i will be in camp on my birthday itself. But, maybe can get nights out, cuz its Tuesday. See how things go anyway.
Its about time i get my Lance Corporal rank liao. Either this month or the next. It better come soon, so that it can be my birthday present this year. Haha. Actually the rank is useless la. It only marks me closer to ORD and $20 more in pay per month. So better than none la. Will be having Lifeguard selection tml. Yay. Going for lifeguard course soon. Learn as much as i can while in the army, cuz no matter wad, 1 year 10 months i will be stuck inside. Haha. One more skill learned, means less time wasted.

Argh Rain!
Been through Exercise Crocodile this week, I'm really damn scared of the rain liao. Sometimes, we love the rain during training, cuz when there is lightning, it will be CAT 1, and all training must cease and all training troops seek shelter. So, when there's CAT 1, it means resting time for us. However, if we are outfield and it rains, it will be a terrible experience for us, at least for this exercise. As a boatman, my job is to cover safety for the M3G when they are conducting their exercise. In layman terms, i am to stick to their raft in the water to make sure that they are okay. Then as their exercise is overnight rafting, me and my boatman partner have to take turns to man the boat. Tuesday night at 12am we started moving into the water, and i slept first as we took shifts. At around 3am,i woke up and took over till 8am, after which i went to sleep. Then, at 11am, hell happened. It started drizzling. The drizzle lasted a while before it stopped and after a while, it became a full blown rain. Sad. Stuck in our boat, we were drenched even though we had our raincoats on. Drenched and damn cold all the way from Wednesday afternoon till Thursday 5pm, when we finished packing up and went back to bunk. That was one hell of an experience that i dun wan experience. Never had i felt so wet and cold in my life. We even started fire using solid fuel to try to keep warm. Everybody, including our platoon sergeant also huddled around the fire. Argh. Thinking of it still send chills down my spine. The rain lasted for damn long. Start and stop for the whole day, so we had no chance of drying. I brought lots of food there to eat, but in the end, we were so wet and cold that we had no mood to do anything. The best feeling was to sit there and not move. LOL.
Boatman, thats wad i am. Damn unique. In my two years of NS life, i would have been to more Exercises than anyone else. To think that i have already been to an Operation as a private would have put all to shame. I hope that the bloody rain would not occur as such again. Terrible feeling.
Today, went out with angez, noch, lic and devil to sort of celebrate my birthday. Haha. Started quite bad, but turned out okay. Thanks for remembering my birthday and go out eat with me. :c9: is almost dead. Nobody moves liao. OCT and Commandos got no life. So juz too bad. Nothing to say liao.
Feel like going shopping. Buy more clothes, jeans and stuff. Now can book out in civilian liao. No need book out in uniform liao. Yay. I wan get contacts! I think i look better with contacts. Yay!

Sitex 2007
This weekend was a super busy week for me, partly because of Sitex 2007. Bought a Creative Zen to replace my aging and slowly falling apart MuVo N200. Quite shiok. So i have been transfering the files in the whole time. The video and music format supported by the Zen is kinda different from my other devices such as the PSP and i had to convert them one by one. Its damn bloody slow converting stuff on my super slow old com, so i used the new and powerful one. But somehow, it went ka-boom. At first it hanged, then after i try to restart it, it could not start. Damn du lan. Cuz the old com will take 10000000000years to convert the files. At least the com is still under warranty. So my bro better go call the dell repairman down to do something about it. My dad is overseas and i will be in camp. Haiz. He better know wad to do before i come back and skin him alive. -sinster laugh- The mp4 player i got for him from my Safra free gift kinda spilt and he still haven't got it fixed even though its under waranty.
Saturday, i also went down with my dad to buy a new Lcd tv. Love IT shows. Its the time to go replace the ageing and falling apart stuff with new and better ones at a bargain price. Anyway, we bought a 37" Panasonic Viera Lcd Tv. Haha. Quite ex but its cheap compared to buying it outside liao. Can't wait for the deliveryman to deliver it here. Will take around 2 weeks i think. =(
Wahaha. My birthday's coming up soon. But i dun feel happy at all. This year just suck. Cuz i will be in camp during my birthday. Hope that i don't get the flush tank treatment, where the birthday boy will get thrown into the flush tank ( the tank of water where we flush our engines before and after going outsea). Till now none from my platoon have entered the flush tank yet. I think nobody knows that its my birthday anyway. :c9: will be unable to meet up this time round as most are unable to make it on 8dec. 13 to15 dec i think i got a Sispec 10 boat attachment. So that weekend also dun think can. At least i think i will be getting off on the 10th unless something cock up again.
Life sucks. Booking in again liao. This week, i will be having an attachment to Bravo Coy for their Ex Crocodile at Murai Resevoir from Tuesday to Thursday. That place got no handphone reception coverage. So, it sucks being seperated from the outside world again. Time to book in again. Bye. Will be back next week.
