2 More Days Left
Omg. Time passes so quickly. In 2 more days i'm going back to Tekong liao. Sian ar! At least i'm luckier than the commandos. Jeremy the commando is going back in today night. Phew. Sispec also going back in on Tuesday night. Only commando's so siao. Lucky i'm not commando. Haha.
Today i think i'm going to army market later to buy the items needed for my field camp, which takes place in 2 weeks time. Have been trying get Michael the Sergent in training out with me since half an hour ago. But think he's too lazy to get out. Haha. He's starting to get the Sergent attitude liao. Hope that i will succeed in getting him out later. Haha. Later in the evening i will be having a gathering for :c9: i made sure thats its :c9: ONLY by organising the gathering myself. Haha. Thats the foolproof way. It always works. Haha.
Think i better go try harder at getting Michael out. Bug him till he gets out. Even if he dun come out i think i better go find some way to enjoy myself before i go back in on mayday. Sleep seems like a good choice...

Soldier. Back Fron Tekong.
Yes! I'm back. It had been almost 3 weeks since my last posting as i was in camp and was unable to blog. Finally i'm out. Free! At least for a few days.
090407 The fateful day that saw me being enlisted into the Army as a recruit, and finally after 18 days in camp, i had my first book-out day today. So happy that i survived my confinement period and at least bow, i have a few days break before i book-in again next Tuesday 010507 at 2015 hours.
On 090407, my parents were at the enlistment ceremony that saw me being enlisted into M Company, also known as Mohawk Company. Mohawk Company is known to be one of the most siao companies in the BMTC, so wad tough luck to be in that Company. But whatever, since i'm already inside, i cannot complain anyway as it would be of no use. I would just do my best and then see what i can achieve during my time in BMT.
In the army, everything is a routine. Morning wake up at 0530 and lights out at 2230. Training is pre-set by commanders, so everything just follow programme. Some days damn tiring due to the physical training while some days are quite okay.
I had my first taste of a real M16 rifle in the army. Although i had not started firing live rounds, i have learnt how to operate and fire the M16 using the computerised shoot and also learnt how to strip and assemble the rifle. Quite fun, but xiong also.
Anyway now, its my rest time for these few days till 010507, so i hope that i can go out to have lots of fun before i go back in. Life as a civilian is definitely better than that of a soldier. Enjoy.

Army In One And A Half Hour
Its already April 9th 2007 and today, i will be enlisted into the army at 10am. Now i still have about one and a half hour more before i go in. So, this post will be my last for now, as i can only resume my posts in 2 weeks time, after i come out from my confinement. Its a new stage in my life to overcome. Wish me luck that i can breeze through it. Haha.
To all you people out there, i will miss you. Guys, soon it will be your turn, if you have not went in before. Gals, lucky you, no need spend 2 years in the army. So make good use of your time and do not waste the 2 years that you have extra.
Okay, its time to get prepared liao. Will share with you my experiences when i book out. Hopefully good experiences. Haha. Luckily handphones are allowed in camp. So, keep in touch! Bye. Off i go to Tekong.

1 More Day To Go
Its already Sunday 8th March 2007 and in one day time, i will be on my way to Tekong island for my BMT liao. Time passes very quickly and now, the 3 months that i had before going into army has been shaved down to one day. Time to say goodbye to my long hair liao.
Yesterday, i went out with :c9: ppl. Its 9 - 4 ppl. So only 5 ppl turned up including me. We had quite a great time slacking around, going for dinner and then to catch a movie. Actually, we wanted to catch TMNT. But somehow, there is only one show timing and its sold out. So we went to watch shooter instead. Watching a army related movie before my enlistment was a great idea. But it was not planned. Haha. At least its quite nice except that the story is very complicated, and i can only catch it halfway here and there. Haha.
2 weeks of confinement coming up and i am 33 hours away from enlistment. Final day to enjoy liao better make good use of my time liao. To those friends who i did not manage to meet up with before my enlistment, hope to see you next time. After all, enlistment is not the end of the world, its just another stage in my life that i have to go through.

6th Driving Lesson Today
Today, i had my 6th driving lesson and it was quite good. Now, i am more confident at the wheels and i just started to learn parking today. Parking is quite fun, but driving on the roads is more fun. I started learning reverse parking with the help of guide poles for the first time today. Parking is more difficult than driving forward, mainly because the view of the road is more obstructed and i have to turn the steering wheel fast enough or i will miss the slot.
Although my car stalled twice today, it was during reversing. So at least its quite okay, as i have just started learning reversing and parking. I am now better with the clutch, so i won't stall that often while driving on the roads liao. Another step closer to driving my dad's car. Haha.
Now, i will have to decide whether to take the driving test at Ubi or at Bukit Batok as i will have to register an account with the driving centre soon so that my instructor can help me book the test date when i am in the army. My father says that the roads around Bukit Batok will be easier
to drive in as there are lesser cars, but Ubi is closer. So, somehow i will have to make a choice. Maybe i would just go with my father's choice. Haha. No need to think so much.
Tml i will be having the next driving lesson again. I just booked another one on Saturday at 4pm. So night time then can go out with :c9:. Think JJ wan go watch TMNT after dinner.
So okay. See you guys on Saturday. Better turn up! Will still be free on Wednesday and Thursday.

Train Train Train
Quick. Get some exercise! Enlistment is in 7 days time.
Today, i went with my parents to MacRitchie Reservoir Park for a run. Long time never run liao. I almost died running the cross country route. Haha. My stomach was feeling quite weird during and after the run. But, i still survived anyway. In the end, i am still quite pleased with myself for running quite well at least, having not exercised for months.
My father gave me a try at driving his car for a short distance in the MacRitchie car park. So fun. Automatic car. Dun have clutch. Juz step and go. Haha. I will be driving his car soon. After i get my license first that is. My next driving lesson will be tml. Yay. Can get to drive again. Faster learn and pass the test liao can drive everyone out liao.
Alright. Time for some slacking around. My body is sure to ache tml. At least ache now so that when i go in i won't suffer that much. Hey. I wanna go out. Who's going out these few days please call me along. If not maybe i will go out along damn. Okay call me pls.

7 More Days To Being a Soldier
Its already 2nd of April and in 7 days time, i will be enlisted into the army for my BMT liao. Time passes very quickly and before i know it, it would be 9th liao. So, its better for me to go get prepared for army by exercising a bit and play more now cuz once i go in i will only have the weekends to play liao and thats provided that i am not too tired to play.
Yesterday, i went to repair my bike and then cycled to Hougang to find Michael. He was going to book in that night, so i juz went to find him to chit chat, and also cycle a bit. Long time never cycle or even exercise liao, i had quite a tough time cycling the route which was an easy feat for me in the past. So i guess that my fitness has dropped quite a bit and i better buck up some more before i go in.
Anyway, who cares so much about army. It's just a time wasting 2 years that every Singaporean guy has to go through. I could have completed half my degree course by the time i ORD if there was no NS. But ppl say boys go in as boys and come out as men. So whatever, i cannot complain much as there is no escape for me. Juz serve the 2 years and forget about it. Anyway for now, i still have time to enjoy. Going out to play/shopping/slack around? Anyone?
