Winter Escapade to Korea

Thanks to larling and family, I get to spend this winter in Korea a second time. This trip I
had an incredibly fun time bcos firstly we were more prepared for the harsh winter (it was below zero degrees everyday!) and secondly, I simply love Korean culture after watching those Korean dramas and listening to Korean songs.

To me, the three most important gear for winter are:
1) Fur boots (the fur is extremely useful! for the first time I can still feel my toes even after staying out in the cold for so long)
2) Gloves (if you don't want your fingers to drop off, better wear gloves!)
3) Muffler (same for your ears)

Waiting to catch Korean Air

Arrived at Incheon Intl Airport

All geared up except me.. trying to be hero

Feeding seagulls with prawn crackers..

But they didn't come for it so I ate it myself

So many of them!

Our coach drove up this ship and brought us across the sea

Nami Island..

Yes we went there before and we could barely last 30mins in the cold as we were freezing.

But this time, we spent the entire hr there! so proud. haha

Trying to imitate the Winter Sonata pose behind

鸡肉+ 辣炒年糕

I love the chewy nian gao loads!

THis was the vessel we took to Nami Island

Taking a scenic train ride which has nice coastal views of the sea

Come Korea must do this sarang haeyo pose

Fish market. Their squid and shishamo is yummay!

Teddy Bear farm which showcases teddy bears like those shown in the Korean drama Goong.

But I think the one in Jeju Island is much bigger

Proposing one more time

Doing this pose in Korea is really the norm, but do it in Sg ppl will think we're acting cute

Ascending Mt Sorak in a huge cable car.

Mountains are all covered with snow

Beautiful

Skiing in the night is really freaking cold without the sun

But it's a wonderful experience, it can be a great workout bcos you'll be carrying your heavy skis up the slope after you've ski-ed down the slope.

Quite shag but it helps to warm you up with all these movements

Heavy eh

Heart this pic

All tours will bring you to this school to learn how to make kim-chi

Then photo-taking wearing Hanbok, their traditional costume

If you didn't have Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup in Korea, then you haven't been to Korea

They brought us to an ice gallery with all the ice sculpture displays and we can even

carve our own after they've taught us. It was super fun!

And larling won third prize for his cup! He even got a medal for that.

Well done! haha

Cheong Wa Dae (青瓦台), also known as Blue house, Korea's presidential museum.

Those who watched City Hunter will find this familiar, but visitors weren't allowed inside, we can only view from outside

Gyeongbok Palace

Some more photos of the ice gallery..

Epic photo of the year

My purchase from the Teddy Bear Farm.

Its fur are rose-shaped

Lotte World..

Those who watched Stairway to Heaven would know this

My all-time fav.. Carousel!

Introducing the new chicken little look-alike.. Poyoyo!

I find him extremely cute and finally I found him on the last day and I had to buy if not I'll leave with regrets! haha
