Bridal Studio - My Dream Wedding

Last month we went down to choose our outfits for pre-wedding photoshoot and saw our studio is gone! Then we realised My Dream Wedding actually moved few doors down and has expanded tremendously. They previously occupied a small unit which has room for only two brides at a time for gown-fitting. Now their new location is much more spacious and grand. Three brides can do their gown-fitting at the same time, they even have separate areas for photo choosing, hairdo and makeup, and table discussion. We were really impressed. Their move came quite unexpected and I think we've gotten ourselves a good deal!

The block with the red windows is My Dream Wedding.

Not very sure if the second floor belongs to them as well

Looks really spacious right

Tux shirts have very cute mini collars

Larling in tux

Groom can select two tuxs while the bride has three gowns.

And we could bring our casual clothes for shoot as well.

The good thing about taking up a package with the studio instead of ala carte is that you'll have the entire entourage following you during the shoot and you don't need to source your outfits separately.

The down side is, their in-house photographers' works will not be as fun and creative of those reknown photographers like Chris Ling, Mindy Tan, IanPhotography etc.

Of course it all boils down to time and budget.

Choosing reknown photographers = $$$

Going ala carte = time

Being a lazy and practical person, taking up the package is still the best choice for me. :)

Some of the gowns..

Short one for outdoor beach shoot

One of my fav:

Night gown in red

My colleague says I looked like 小倩.. Oh man

12 more days to the shoot..

So exciteeed!

Bridesmaids

I never used to like bridesmaids. In my impression, bridesmaids are bitchy ladies who haggle and bargain for ang baos during gatecrashing, sit at the hotel banquet reception like vases chit-chatting away. Now, having gone through a real-life experience of being a bridesmaid, I truly understand how tiring it is to be the bride's maids. Especially with a church wedding packed in the afternoon, there's totally no time and space for rest. And the wedding day was just nice on the third day of my month-end closing. It was my first month-end on my own as my superior has left the company. You can imagine how stressed I was.
It's ok, we bridesmaids will do everything just for the bride's bliss and happiness.
要幸福哦, 炜炜!

Wei wei's hen's night was few wks before her actual day.

Due to restrictions on booze and clubbing, we had a very clean and tame hen's day.

I like it that way!

It's a very warm gathering with the gals before Miss becomes Missus.

We had a hard time choosing a hotel which is cheap and good yet can accomodate 6 of us in a room. Finally, we settled on boutique hotel, Naumi Hotel!

It was a great choice!

They have a rainshower and bathtub!

The tv set can be turned around to either face the bedroom or living room.

Cool max!

That's the mini kitchen cum study area

Cosy little red chair

Free Nespresso coffee..

Duper cool!

3 lil lazy pigs!

So cute!

After few hours of Taboo, Wei wei and Mama reached then we headed out for dinner!

@ Skinny Pizza

Hi my dear Joan Joan

Hi Mrs Ting (then Misss Tan)

Then it's karaoke time!

Mama introduced us to this super cheap place for karaoke

I think it was $20 for this room for 3 hrs?

Damn cheap right?!

But in order to reach this room, we had to walk past those billard tables with all those ah bengs and tiko peks oogling like they've never seen gals before.

Finally 3rd of Sep arrived..

These were the ingredients that Joc and mama bought before the day.

Very mild and healthy food

Bride-to-be preparing...

Ta-dah! Hi pretty!

So gate-crashing starts..

Here's the main highlight:

Fu Long and groomservants dancing to Beyonce's Single Ladies.

We enjoyed it! haha

They rented a very vintage beetle as their wedding car!

At the church..

Mama and I were in-charge of taking attendance and also making sure names are written on angbaos.

With 300 over guests, I can tell you two bridesmaids is not enough.

The queue was snaking long and some of them just went up without attendance marking/angbao.

Some of them when asked if they had written their names on the angbao, they said: "I think so"

Yes means yes, you mean you dont even know if you've written you name on it?

Obviously they didn't write lah!

After that we realised why they said that.. Bcos they didn't want the bride and groom to know who gave that angbao (maybe bcos they didn't put any money inside?)

LOL.. anyway I'm just sharing my experience...

Wei wei and her lovely bridesmaid..

We looked so angelic over here.. LOL

Flower tossing time!

Ok I saved the gals from being the next to get married.

They were so grateful to me.

Basketball and netball players all lost to volleyball player. LOL

I always think natural is beauty
