Happy POKPOK day

It's amazing that my DT lovelies are still surviving well in DT!! Apart from lack of sleep and complaints, what I can see in them is perseverance. No matter how tmd the clients are and how late they usually stay in office till, they are still hanging in there strongly. That's something I really admire about them. Keep on going guys! Look forward to Aug! :)

Happy Birthday POKPOKPOKPOKPOK!
May you and *ahem be an item soon

Pok had cravings for sausages so we had dinner at 313 Somerset's Brotzeit.
Our $88 platter which consists of a humongous pork knuckle, sausages and side dishes
Their sausages are yummay!

My Best Lovelies Forever

:D
It's always so hard to take a proper shot of them.

Then we moved on to dessert.
Pok wanted sticky chewy chocolate so we walked to Ion's Swensens.. but they were closing by the time we reached. So we walked back to Cineleisure, but there were no seats. We could only settle for Xin Wang since not many choices left

They dont seem to like peanut butter on their toasts

I remembered writing these in my farewell email to my colleagues and managers:
It's my pleasure to be able to work with you guys and thanks for being such wonderful teammates, going through the hard times and late nights together. Though it was tough, with unlimted complaints and curses, it is through these hardships that true friendships are forged. I don't see you all as colleagues, but rather as friends whom I can rely on when I'm at the lowest point.
There weren't any back-stabbing and politics going on back then. How I missed you guys..

A walk down Club St and Clarke Quay

Again, we went out sourcing for some inspirations for our photoshoot locations. But we're still unable to find that right feeling. Those places don't mean anything to us cos we seldom frequent those places. Our wkends are normally spent in Orchard and town areas.. Can't expect us to choose those places? The crowd is perpetually there, how to have a shoot there?

Anyway, our wedding date is tentatively fixed on 10 March 2012 at Shangri-La. We've yet to view the ballroom and discuss details, but we are quite decided on Shang. Initially I didn't want to choose Shang due to the high price tag but after much considerations, Shang gives the best ambience and I feel good with them.

We started drawing uo our budget and we were stunned that it came up to a whopping $80k!!
Getting married is definitely a costly affair if you want to have a decent grand wedding.
Oh well, like what larling said, it's once in a lifetime.......

Had a cup of Teh Halia at Mr Teh Tarik's before heading down to Club Street.
A nolstagic place.. used to come when I was still with DT, now it's too far for me.
Larling's new bag.. touted as the LV of camerabags..
erm what's the brand again?
Hadley pro?
This is the main reason for coming to Club St..
We thought there'd be a Agnes b cafe but end up it's their main office and they are undergoing some renovation works

Club St has many rustic vintage shophouses.. Very pretty but doesn't have any traces of our memories..

On a random note,
Z4 as our wedding car seems a little squeezy..

Moved on to Central for dinner..

Central has lots of Jap restaurants.. since larling had cravings for shabu shabu, we headed to Tampopo's steamboat branch..
While waiting for the soup to boil

Shabu shabu in the super tasty pork bone soup

Look at the mountain of foooood

Our platter of black pig and veggies.
Tampopo's black pig is really reknown for its fragrance and tenderness.

The steamboat can be used to cook ramen!
It's quite fun doing up our own ramen.
The ingredients are even included:

Tadaah.. Our self-cooked ramen

Their highly recommended dessert..
Light chiffon cake

Took a stroll down Clarke Quay after dinner..
I think this is our first or second time strolling along that river?

Clarke Quay is having the Sch Hols bazaar and I got this at $15:

No it's not a cushion..

It's a balloon-stool-chair

After pumping the balloon manually for 15mins, it finally inflate into shape

Cute isn't it?
