Grad trip finally settled

This Good Friday hol and weekend was spent on confirming our grad trip. in the end, xj and stella can't join us, so both of us just have to go ahead ourselves. fri we went down to chan brothers' head office to enquire more about their free n easy packages as that was what we planned initially. but after stella confirmed that she can't join us, larling and i changed our minds to tour packages. so today we decided to check out the CTC, Dynasty Travel and Chan Bros travel fairs at suntec. after much calculation and consideration, we found a good deal with contiki tours and finally made our choice.
y contiki? firstly, their land tour prices are in USD. so hopefully on the day of payment, the exchange rate will drop to like 1.3??? secondly, there's 10% discount on all contiki packages. thirdly, even though it's like a guided tour, it's highly flexible with loads of free time in between. and most importantly, its itineraries cover many more destinations than the normal tour packages at only a slightly higher price. and as they pledged:" we don't just offer a destination, we deliver an experience!" haha. to wat extent it's true, wait til we experience it for ourselves and we'll update more on it.
Ooooh.. i'm all so excited to fly again!!

Laughin ol' me

School life has been so hectic over the past two wks and it'll probably continue all the way til end of exams. though very shag but i'll try to love every moment of it, for it's my last chance in uni life. furthermore i simply LOVE my proj members this sem.. they are always so funny!! fri's lunch @ thomson with them really made me roar with laugher can.. esp that samuel's hurling of long strings of hokkien abuse, then stella's there scolding all the ang moh vulgarities. LOL. so after having great pratas n great entertainment, larling and i went to meet our all-time traveling partners xj n jeff.. both of them are another bunch of jokers. what a laughing day on fri. anyway too bad that jeff can't join us on our US trip this time.. but if stella can join us, it'll be as fun too! really looking forward to US trip.. though it'll be a large cash outflow, but now is definitely the best time to go.. esp after we've start working, it'll be difficult to take long leave that's coordinated with the rest. i think at most we can go is short getaway trips to bangkok or hk or taiwan again. but taiwan is indeed a nice place.. i miss the food there esp at their night markets.. oooh it's making me hungry now.. it's supper time! haha

A day with ma bestie

Met Cheryl for dinner yest to pass her her belated bday pressie, as well as to have a short catch up with her. it's always every 4-6months when we'll meet once.. besties since pri 4 and still counting. aubrey and larling tagged along too and it was a great gathering.. guys get along well easily and NS life is always their main topic.. LOL

had dinner at tony roma's - famous for ribs and absolutely the best i've ever eaten. new york new york's ribs are not bad too but still far from tony roma's.

after which we caught a movie - the waterhorse, legend of the deep.. there wasn't any other available movie at that time slot, so we just watched this. it's about a lil boy raising a waterhorse, the fabled loch ness monster, from an egg. initially it was so cute, looked and behaved like a seal, but after it grew humongously, it became like a sea dinosaur. nothing fancy about this show.. just about the legend animal and the setting in WWII.
