erm...

HEY! So results weren’t out this week as anticipated. =) but that means I need to panic again soon! Haha! And this time the chances of it being out next week are like 99%! =/ oh wells, I HAVE to face it sooner or later. =/

Anyway, this week marks the end of my three week tues and thurs stint for relieving for mdm ong. 3f was really an awesome class. Despite the occasional monkey climbing out of their innocent shells, they generally listened and cooperated. Which is what I like. And despite the insane number of books I had to mark, it passes time quickly and I was never bored at work. And plus I get paid! Haha. Even the infamous 4e started to listen and work with me. =) but her table was so messy! Oh my goodness! At least I had my own table. I hate the idea of not having your own table and you hate to source for empty ones around the stuff room. =(

Since today was my day off, I went to ikea with mommy to get some stuff for the house. =) but before that, we scooted off to anchorpoint to have lunch and we were stunned to see the change! Ok maybe I noob lah, since it has been eons since I last went there, but it was incredible! Tons of factory outlets! =) mom and I both got a pair of heels each at the charles and keith outlet store. And the best part, they cost a grand total of $34.50! you never get to pay that kind of price for two pairs in any other charles and keith store. I’m so going back there to buy more stuff. And just wants to come too! To checkout the pedro outlet! =)

one week ago...

Just a quick one today. I’m tired from work and I have to teach tomorrow. =) 3f! Fun and noisy class! Haha.

Taught a couple of times last week. =) Still morning session though. I want to teach p1 and p2s again. I miss seeing those kids, especially 1I! =)

Charles toh left for aussie on wed to study. =( when he returns six years later, he'll be dr toh. =) it was really weird for me to watch him step through the departure gates and wave good-bye to us. we grew up together. and even though we were never best buds close, we were still a clique of childhood friends that went through almost everything together. at the airport that day, the atmosphere was friendly but tense. it's as if all the emotions came out at one go, and i could see it in everyone's s eyes, the same feelings of anxiety and excitement. i'll miss our crazy hang outs at his place, but i know that since our friendship has been going strong as a clique for at least 12 years, what is 6 simple years to us?

Last fri was awesome. =) before heading to school for choir con, I met up with oh for lunch. We talked and talked and talked. =) I love how despite not speaking to each other for a while, we can still yak non stop, from nyny to the nail parlor to walking around amk. It was just pure fun. =)

Was supposed to meet up with zhilun, germain and kenneth but that didn’t work out cause of our conflicting schedules. Oh wells. But we need to meet up soon! =) I haven’t seen you guys in eons and it’s weird not being able to talk to you guys as much as before. oh oh HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ZHILUN! =)

Choir con was cool. The choir did try hard so I’m proud of them. =) work harder for viva vox 3! It was nice catching up with everyone, especially the j4s! like ancient pan kel ley. Haha. Who eats ice cream first then his burger. Like huh?! Timing a bit off lah idiot! Haha.

Some of us met up on sat at my place where we continued with our laughter and chat. But this time we had mahjong! And I won three games in a row! Awesome! See cong, I’m not that noob! Haha.

Anyway gtg! Bed and tv beckons! =)

It was great talking to you again, but I hated the formality. Whatever happened to just bull shitting and having brainless conversations? I miss that, a lot.

random rants

Hey all! =) feeling kinda random right now, so I’ll guess this post will be filled with random thoughts. Heh.

Random rant 1: HAPPY LUNUR NEW YEAR! =) It’s kinda cool hanging more with the family and making tons of noise just because we can and we need not worry about the neighbours complaining. And the ang baos rock too! =) but I think I will put most in the bank this time. Strangely enough, I didn’t feel the adrenaline rush of hitting the malls and spending half of my ang bao money on clothes shoes and books anymore. Ok fine I did go shopping, but it was to update my wardrobe with clothes for work. And I didn’t use my ang bao money. So yea. This year started off with a trip to the temple to pray for a good year ahead. I have always found cny far more meaningful then 1/1 cause the latter is far more commercialised than cny. So anyways, I prayed for tons of things this year. But before you say anything, I prayed for stuff like health for my family members, security and stuff. So yea. It means more to me then praying that I beat so and so in A’s.

Random rant 2: I’VE RECEIVED MY FIRST PAYCHECK! Ok technically not the first if you count in the one I got for subbing for my bro. but it is the first for a rather stable job. So yippe! =) decided to give some to my parents, grandparents and bro. I don’t know why but I just felt like I should. And Justin Chan, I want my bumper pay ok! Haha. And I decided to buy myself a little something as well. =) after much consideration, I decided to buy the pair of havianas slippers that I’ve been eyeing for ages!

Random rant 3: the wait to collect my results in totally killing me! Ok the thought of seeing my grades is killing me too, but having everyone reminding you that d day is approaching totally kills you. And when you have a dad and a bro randomly calling you at work to tell you that “the news just confirmed that you’ll be collecting your grades in _ days” you simply go insane. Someone help me!

Random rant 4: been teaching morning session more often now. And I kinda miss the p1 and p2 kids. Especially 1I! That class is just filled with the most adorable kids around! And they say the cutest things! =) plus my cousin is in that class! =)
Me: hey I’m going home first yea? Have fun in school!
Clarissa (my cousin): ok, bye bye miss chan!
So I slowly walk away from her class then Jeng Hom( her classmate) pulls my hand.
Jeng Hom: why so early? (and he looks at me with the cutest eyes ever!)
Clara: cause I was here in the morning, my shift is over. Have fun in school too! =)
Jeng Hom: oh ok. But must visit me too! =) cause I only see you in school, not like clarissa. =(
They are just so cute.
but teaching morning is cool too, at least I have the afternoon to meet up with friends or got some stuff done. Plus whatever it is I get paid! =) but I’m started to enjoy teaching more and more so I don’t mind what session or what class I teach. =) ok maybe I mind what class, haha! But still, I’m welcoming whatever job comes my way, morning or afternoon. =)

Random rant 5: had diner at uncle win’s place just the other day and it was great! And my uncle is super funny! My dad was saying how he prefers Europe to the states cause of the stronger culture.
Dad: US has become a bit too cos, cos
Me: cosmopolitan
Dad: yes, too cosmopolitan for my liking.
Uncle win: what is cosmopolitan?
Me: erm more diverse culture?
Uncle win nods.
Uncle win: wait, diverse is what?
Me: (already laughing my head off) erm like maybe out of 10 people in new york, about 9 are not Americans.
Uncle win: oh! So you mean 9 are blacks lah?
Hahahah! The whole table was laughing by then. my uncle is just super funny. =)
