I know it seems that I've just dropped off the face of the earth but actually I've just made some major changes in my life. My husband and I fell in love with the country life and decided we were ready to move out of the city. We bought some property, sold our house and made the move. We live in a tiny little community just outside of a small town. We're so small we don't even have a zip code of our own. Fortunately there was a nice mobile home on the property for our immediate use. Our new home is nearly completed and it can't be soon enough for me.
I got busy raising chickens and now have 31 hens that give me a dozen or more eggs a day. I sell the eggs to the locals here and anyone else who's passing through. Each spring I buy new chicks to keep the flock growing and production up. right now I have 20 little Red Comet pullets that are a month old. It will be 4 more months before they are old enough to start laying eggs. In addition to raising chickens I have a fabulous vegetable garden. With 25 acres there is enough room for me to grow what ever I like. I grow more vegetables than we can possibly eat or put up. I also have a small fruit orchard with peach, plum, apple and cherry trees.
My husband decided he wanted to raise honey bees. We started learning all we could and then jumped in. We have 9 hives now and in spite of the dry weather last year we managed to harvest a small amount of honey. This spring we've had plenty of rain and everything is blooming so we are hopeful of having a good year and getting lots of honey.
Needless to say all this has kept me very busy. I haven't had time to do any stitching at all. When we moved I had to close my design studio and without the space here for a new one I haven't continued. I may decide to start designing again once the house is completed but that's for later.
I still have a large number of my canvases that I would like to sell. If you are interested you can look at them on my website and then email me to make sure I have the design you want in stock. All designs will be sold at the wholesale price, no terms. The wholesale price will include the cost of shipping. This seems easier than coming up with a discounted price and then adding shipping to each sale.
Happy Shopping.
