Still...Partying!

Wow- The days are flying. Yesterday (Sunday) we celebrated Amberly and Brooklyn's 6th birthday. They had a fabulous day. They got everything they wanted and more!
To continue their story... I continued to lay in the hospital for a few more days. Saturday came, and so did the problems. I had contractions all night, but the medication covered them. The nurse came in and checked me out and told me I was in "active labor". Kyle and my dad came down and gave me a blessing that morning. Kyle and Brenden were planning to come and hang out for the night. I was visiting with a friend while contracting every three min and my doctor came in and did another ultrasound and noticed the fluid surrounding the babies was back up. Well then it got a bit crazy! They took me in for a more detailed ultrasound and debated on doing another amniocenteses. Kyle got there and we talked about what to do. I had such a peace that everything is going to be okay. They told us the amnio would either stop labor for a day or two, or send me right into labor. We both felt that with the estimated ultrasound size(around 3-3 1/2 each), that they would be okay. After calling our Parents and telling them the news and then we got ready to have our little twin girls!

Still... Remembering!

Hello! and no we haven't died! I was sitting here figuring out the rest of my week and figuring out what else to get Amberly and Brooklyn for there 6th birthday (its on Sunday!) and the thought came to me that 6 years ago today I went in to labor 11 weeks early! Wow what a rush of emotion and memories I have from then and now!!!
For those who don't know the story, here goes...
About a week and a half earlier I got sick and thought it maybe just a cold, turned out to be a upper respiratory infection and a bladder infection. Well a combination of the two is bad if you were big and pregnant like I was. I went to bed that night and woke up having lots of labor pains. I woke Kyle, and he was one of those "concerned" husbands and told me to call the hospital and he went back to sleep! I ended up calling and they said to come in. So I waited not wanting to be an imposition to everyone who would be involved. So i waited until morning(Wednesday). Kyle was in school full time and working full time, so he was all ready gone for the day. I called my mom and my mother-in-law watched Brenden, then we were off to the hospital. I called my doc on the way and he met us there. I was 1 cm and 60% and still contracting. They did an ultrasound and the babies fluid was bad. They started me on some nasty drugs and gave me a steroid shot for their lungs and then decided to move me to another hospital that was better equipped to handle my situation. We got ahold of Kyle, and he and my dad came down and gave me a blessing. Next, I got the all so not fun amniocentesis! (don't ever volunteer to get one if ever presented) They took a gallon of fluid out of me and wow did I fell better after that! Then I was put on bed rest in the hospital for the next three days so they could continue giving me the medication I needed. The next few days were long an boring full of roll this way, roll that way, blood pressure cuff going off every 15 min, blood take every 12 hours(that one is my favorite...jk)!! Seeing my Husband and Son every day would have been my favorite!!!
I will finish later, Kids are calling!

Still...Here!

Family and friends-

It has been to long since we last posted and we have been very busy. Just a quick recap.

We did some fun family trips this past summer. We went to Yellowstone and camped for 3 nights and saw all the sights. The kids had a blast sleeping outside, and we found out the tooth fairy can still find you in the wilderness. We also celebrated the 4th of July in Idaho with Sarah's family. We sat and watched the fireworks over the falls. We also hit a couple of zoo's this summer, and ended the warmness of summer by going to the State Fair!

Daddy and Jo at the Bar-J in Jackson Hole!

Chad and Michelle had a little girl the end of August. She is beautiful!

Brenden is now in the second grade with a great teacher and loves going!
Amberly and Brooklyn are in kindergarten! I found it very funny that I had to fight to keep them together. they kept telling me that they knew what would be best for them. I guess I am just their mom. A doctor's note and a meeting later, they ended up in the same class.
Jocelyn who is now TWO and knows it, has loved having her mom back for a few hours everyday.
Her birthday preparation was very interesting. It started on Sunday night, we were getting the kids to bed and it was stormy and the power went out. The kids all freaked out a bit until we located the candles, we played the piano and sang songs and took pictures by candle light (very cool). After finally getting kids to bed we started to put together a plastic play kitchen. We pulled it out of the box and it was sheets of injection molds. Wonder what it looked like? 3 hours,
two adults, candles and a flashlight! The result... a very happy Jocelyn Belle!
I (Sarah) got a new calling this past Sunday, I an a Sunbeam teacher in Primary! I'm sure it will be a difficult change, but a needed one.
I will try not to wait as long for out next post.
Love the Moons!
