This is my latest project for The Memory Nest using the following sketch. I was inspired by the smaller picture boxes on the sides of the design and decided to make technology my theme. My daughter loves her iPhone. She is quite the Snapchat filter fan, and I often get pictures of her with dog ears, or in this case, a bunny nose. The other day, I found her using her dog as a pillow pet as she texted her friends. So I decided that these pictures would be perfect to showcase with this design. To pull this project together, I used a variety of Jillibean Soup papers from the Spicy Nacho and the Macho Nacho soup lines.

THE MOUND
This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following design. My hometown, Miamisburg, Ohio, is the location of one of the two largest conical Native American mounds in the Eastern United States. It looks like a giant triangle...So when I saw the sketch, I thought of the Mound. As fate would have it, I was babysitting my second cousin who had never been to the top of the Mound despite living in Miamisburg her whole life. So I said, "We have to fix that!" So my daughter, my cousin, and myself climbed the 65 foot mound and took our pictures at the top. Let me tell you, it's a workout, but the view of the Miami Valley is incredible and makes the shaking legs from climbing over hundred steps worth it! To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Echo Park's "Anything Goes" collection, namely because the feathery paper reminded me of a Native America headdress.

VOLLEYBALL
This is my latest creation for Let's Scrap using the below sketch. When I saw the movie reel on the right side of the sketch, I didn't think Hollywood...I thought volleyball. My oldest daughter lives for volleyball. This past winter and spring, she was on a club team for the first time with an incredible group of girls. They immediately bonded and had as much fun off the court as they did on. My daughter moved out of her comfort zone and played positions she had never tried. And more importantly, she's made wonderful friends. To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Moxxie's Volleyball and Scrapbook Customs Sports collection.

HOME OF THE FREE...
This is my latest layout for The Memory Nest using the following sketch. Although this goes live after July 4, I was completely inspired by the holiday for this sketch. Eight years ago, my husband and I took our daughters to Washington DC. While we were at the Vietnam Memorial, my daughter was asking all kinds of questions about who the men were and why their names were etched on the wall. I stepped back and took this picture of her while she was thinking about what we told her. I loved how her little face reflected in the wall; almost like the young men who made the ultimate sacrifice were looking back at her. To bring this project together, I used a variety of Doodlebug's "Patriotic Parade and Picnic" papers and my Cricut "Basic Shapes" to cut the stars. It's hard to believe that she is almost the age of thousands of the men listed on the wall. Like the sticker says, "Home of the Free because of the Brave." Lest we never forget what our ancestors have done for us to make the Fourth of July possible every year.

This is my take on the sketch for the blog hop. Since the theme was "Summer Fun," I decided to go full on summer fun for this project. These pics were taken seven years ago on a trip my family took to Isle of Palms, South Carolina. This is one of my favorite places on Earth. My girls were so small and had so much fun playing in the sand & hanging out at all the beach shops. They epitomized "summer fun" on this trip. I loved all the bright colors in Carta Bella's "Beach Day" collection and thought the papers did a perfect job reflecting the fun we had.
