11.7.12

{day one & two}

dear readers.

you know that i love a good roadtrip. so husband and i are extending our honeymoon. we are off to celebrate in the wedding celebrations of beautiful friends.

where? 2,000 miles away: chicago!
this is crazy. we know.

the past two days have been full a lot of adventures.
{day one} oregon to stewart's crow creek ranch: 845 miles

we ran into a wildfire that stopped us right before our exit. naturally we take the most obscure back road. 3 hours later then we intended, we arrive at crow creek.

{day two} ranch days
we took a little one day stop and enjoyed the ranch. we are trying to take every opportunity to visit the ranch due to the fact that it is OUR favorite place.

now we are off. again. bound for omaha! we are loving this time
together {hopefully these feeling continue in 4,000 miles}

xoxo
yours truly and her new sidekick.

7.6.12

dear readers.

i am pausing from boxes, trash bags, and piles of stuff.
i am moving.
this has happened quite a bit in my collegiate career.
i have still however have not mastered the art.

but this time is different; i am off to be wedded to him, here!

readers, to say that i am excited,
IS the biggest understatement of my life.

i love him more and more everyday.

and yes, it has taken me 5x longer to write this post, due to the fact that i can't stop staring at that face above.

xoxo
yours truly.

29.3.12

dearest readers.

i love reading your kind words of support.
i positively adore sharing with you this wedding bliss.

well since becoming a "bride to be", i have received the hollywood treatment.
two bridal showers in two weeks!

one a complete surprise by my "new" family.  how did i get so lucky!?

this little story, is sublime. on a recent quick trip to Oregon, i was under the impression i was having a birthday lunch with the Nelson family girls for a recent birthday. in i walk to find such cute decorations, and a picture of mr. brock and i. to say the least, i was confused. then to my great surprise i turn around to find my
parents in OREGON for my bridal shower.  it was perfect.

the only bad side, i have zero pictures to show you how wonderful it was.
second, by my dietetic major family. complete with a breakfast at tiffany's theme.
i will let the pictures do the talking.
a big thank you to the ladies behind this. kerri b and emma t.
aren't they just beautiful and so talented!

dear readers,
three months from today.
but who is counting? me.

xoxo,
the newly engaged.

19.3.12

a story.

well dearest readers.

i have a story to tell.
rewind back to  august 2011, i met a boy. a boy named brock.
i found him sitting on my porch.
he belonged to my roommate (in cousin form).
he was funny. i laughed and that was that.

(next day). sundance ski lift ride. group event.
roommate states she has no room for me in her car.
strands me on street and says "your ride is coming".
brock = my ride.
cue what i loosely call our first date.
we chit chat up and down the mountain on a ski lift.
i was slightly intrigued.

this is when the story becomes a little fuzzy.
you see, i start spending all my time with this boy named brock.
we become study partners, dinner dates, and road trip companions.
(i also become a faithful oregon duck fan, and a sideline cheerleader for intramural sports.)

(holidays 2011)
we take an adventure and meet the families. i was smitten.
back to school we go, to an even harder semester. my last one.
we still are study partners, dinner dates, and road trip companions. but add one more thing to the mix; i love him.

(march 9, 2012)
on the top of a ski lift, this boy named brock asks me to marry him.

i say YES!

dear readers, i couldn't be more thrilled/joyful/ecstatic.
brock is simply the best man i know.

until next time.

xoxo,
the newly engaged.

26.1.12

dear readers.

no excuses for my lack of correspondence.

..... except.....
i am dating a very fine mister,
trying find a career path,
the "the birthday coordinator" over the WHOLE ward. big deal.
attempting graduation in 3 short months
and sleeping on a bunk bed
(what person over the age of 14 sleeps on the top bunk? me.)

to mend my ways, enjoy my life through iphone pictures

did you miss me much? i missed this blog.

yours truly,

15.11.11

dear readers,

i had a birthday, shout hooray!!
one year older, and wiser too - not really
{yours truly- not too long ago}

this year my birthday fell on a thursday, which made it a 4 day celebration. i did not complain. not one bit.

i was showered with love from the people i love all weekend.
ate amazing food here, courtesy of a very nice lad.
watched this for the first time.

thought about my 21st year of life.
the conclusion was made that it was quite a success.

i do hope that your past weekend was as swell as mine.
aren't birthdays the best?

xoxo.
yours truly.
