Has is really been 9 years??

scan0004

Happy Anniversary, Cam!  I can’t believe it has been 9 years.  Are we really that old?  Doesn’t seem like that long ago that we got hitched, yet I also have a hard time remembering what it was like before it was “us”.  Thank you for choosing me. I love you!

I don’t think we have aged a day.  The only thing that gives us away is the 3 crazy monkeys that go with us everywhere!

Math

Austin discovered simple addition in this fall (ie. 1+1, 1+2). He decided he likes math.

The other day he wanted me to write him some math problems. So I thought I would give him some that would make him work for a while. As I handed the paper to him, he said “Oh, easy” and was done in just a few minutes.

For a 5 year old, I would say he is doing pretty well. Let's just say, the math genetics don’t come from me. I don’t think I have ever said “Oh, easy” about a math problem. We can blame Cam for that!

Warning: A lot of pictures (Thanksgiving)

Josie’s birthday (if born any later, she would have been a turkey!)

Papa decided he would not be left out of the fun.  He made a  turkey/scarecrow/pilgrim (ok, no one was really sure what it was!)

All the boys and Liz went shooting (Kathleen and I decided we are fair weather shooters—it was tooooo cold to go!)

IMGP2445

James took some turns at pulling the pigeon thrower (He liked it so much, he would often launch them before anyone was ready.  Papa had to start keeping one hand on the string while loading it.  Then he would say go and James would put the string over his shoulder and start marching away from it til it finally would launch)

Me and Caden (I think I’m trying to shake the silly out of him—it didn’t work!)

We went to the BSU vs Nevada game.  It was raining at the beginning but stopped after a while.  It didn’t get too cold.  Austin was a trooper.  It was his first football game---it was TBA when we bought the tickets, then found out kick off was at 8pm (thanks ESPN) so we were up until 12!  Austin didn’t even complain.  He did great.  Although in the third quarter he said “For the next game, lets watch it on TV”  :)

We had a great weekend with the Baker clan!  I love spending holidays with family.  I hope my kids always cherish the time we all get to spend together!

The whole enchilada

Over Thanksgiving, we took a picture of all of us.  We are getting to be quite a big group.  It is so fun to have everyone together.

Happy boy

Benjamin is a happy baby.  As long as he has some food in his tummy and has had a nap, he is quick to smile at just about anyone.  It is so fun!

Cluster ball

Austin wanted to play soccer this year, so we thought we would give it a try.  The season started out very hot (see above pics) and ended FREEZING!  I guess that’s what happens with fall soccer in Idaho.

Austin liked to play but I think his favorite parts were wearing shin guards and the snack afterward.

Cam calls it cluster ball.  3 kids from each team, chasing and clustering around the ball.  Austin liked to cheer on his teammates.  His overly competitive mom had to bite her tongue ( You’re bigger, just knock the other kids over!) Hmmm, maybe soccer mom is fitting for me after all.

Halloween

For Halloween, we were the Incredible family.  (Well, we are always incredible, but this time we let our true identities show!)

It was fun.  Austin and James loved it.  They were even ok with the idea of having 2 Dash kids and no Violets.
