Rocky Point

We changed our summer beach trip this year from Newport to Rocky Point. I love both for different reasons. Originally we were planning on taking Jack and so we decided to go for Rocky Point because it'd be cheaper to get a condo on the beach. So, we booked it and then a few months later realized we really needed a vacation kidless. I am SO glad we made this decision as hard as it was because I really wanted Jack to experience the beach!
My sister Amy and I planned this way back in January and had been looking forward to it SO MUCH! Amy and her husband Eric are by far my FAVORITE vacation people! Us 4 get along great and have so much fun together.
We left on Monday morning and came back Friday. We could have used another week down there. It was so relaxing. We didn't have phone or internet access and it forced us all to take a break from those silly iPhones. We did have cable but only ever watched the Olympics. We mainly just hung out. We went swimming in the ocean, the pool, the lazy river, laid in the hammocks, ate all of our meals on the patio, played games, and just made the most of our precious time there. I missed Jack but honestly didn't really worry or think about him too often. I knew if anything was seriously wrong, my SIL would contact the resort :o)
Needless to say, we will be going back, maybe when it's a LITTLE bit cooler though :)
What was left of my tacos :)
One of the best parts of going to Rocky Point--tacos!!!

It was SO humid down in Rocky Point. I put these 2 pictures up (See below) to show the difference. I walked outside and my screen instantly fogged up. The picture below is after I wiped off the moisture!

Steven and Amy enjoying their morning mates on the patio!

We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset every single night

This and That

Jack and I hanging out at the Rainforest Cafe while dad shops!

Foga De Chao--Birthday lunch for Dad! Jack got a lot of attention from the waiters and was so well behaved!

Our first experience with creme brulee. It definitely won't be our last!

4th of July

Grandma Carbonneau gave Jack an "empty" corn on the cob and it kept him busy for quite a while!

A few weeks ago we traveled up to Prescott to visit with some of Steven's family. On the way up we stopped at Steven's Grandma Benich's house in Cornville and visited there, then headed over to Prescott. The weather was so nice! We just visited and then we sang Happy (belated) Birthday to Steven!

The adventures continue! Jack is exploring everything and it's so fun! He loves the toilet...of course :o)

Jack's Birthday

On Jack's birthday, we went in to his room singing him Happy Birthday and then we gave him a balloon. He loved it, of course. He ate his birthday breakfast (oatmeal I think...:o) and then we got packed up and headed down to Benson for his birthday party!
Steven wanted to stop at McDonald's so Jack could get his first Happy Meal. My parents and SIL Trish (and her kids) met up with us. I was bummed that Jack's first happy meal toy was a Spongebob one...I hate Spongebob!

Preparations for the party...we did some Dr. Seuss themed foods and then just barbequed some hamburgers. We kept it simple!

We forgot to put the ham out....

 Cupcakes weren't out yet
Gotta love trying to get a picture of all the cousins!

He wasn't too sure what to think until I gave him a taste of the frosting :)

His gift from aunt Trisha: a plunger! Of course all the kids wanted that of all things.

 Sweet baby Hudson!

It was an exhausting day but oh-so-fun!!
