Meet Azul!

This is Azul, Tessa's first pet! She is so excite to have him and treats him as her best friend. He came to be because she saw one at a shipping store we stopped in at and thought he was the coolest thing. So we walked down the strip mall to the Aquarium Jungle to look at the fish. The sales lady was so nice and let Tess sit at the counter, put all the different colored fish in front of her and let her pick which one she wanted. Tess then got to pick out the marbles for the bottom of the bowl as well and the food and net. The sales woman then let Tess feed him and showed her (me) how to keep his water clean. Tessa thought it was so much fun and it was so great to see her so excited. On the drive home we talked about names for her new friend and she must have shot down at least ten that I gave her. I then realized that it needed to be something she said often and would relate to. So, Azul was the winner! For those that aren't up on their Spanish, azul means blue. Steve has taught Tess a few colors in Spanish, but azul seems to be the one she always remembers. Anyway, she's so excited to have him. She stands at the table and talks to him and gets mad when he's not facing her and will tell him to look at her, haha. It's fun for me to watch her learn and be so fascinated by this small fish. We'll keep you posted on how long he lives, haha!

Mr. Man

Just some updated pictures of our little man. He's getting so big...I just can't handle how fast time is going. He's 9 months now!
An update on his helmet progress... He's grown 2 millimeters in his flat spot as of our last appt. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but for him only having it for 3 week that's great growth. They put air holes all over the back of his helmet because he was starting to get heat rash all over his face and body. So thank heaven the extra air to his head has helped and the heat rash is long gone. Beck has been a trooper and is such a happy and easy going guy, I'm not sure I could ask for a better baby.

His favorite new snack is chocolate rice cakes. He's got to an age where he gets upset if you don't share food with him. He eats EVERYTHING! As I'm sure you can tell, haha!

He tries to go from sitting to standing and this is as far as he gets. He'll do this a few times and then realize he's not getting anywhere and then look for something to grab onto. Silly guy.
(notice the air holes in the helmet)

Beck pulls himself onto everything and walks along all the furniture. He's tried to let go a couple times and walk on his own, but it doesn't last long. His favorite thing is to stand holding a hard surface and see how loud he can bang on it. Makes me crazy, but he gets the biggest kick out of it. Must come from his father!

Random Pictures

So it's been a while since I've posted, sorry. Life all the sudden became busy.
Here's a few cute random pictures from the past while that I've meant to post and never got around to it.

I think this picture is classic. Ko is givin' a cheesy grin, Becks is just cute and who knows what Tess is doing, haha!

Beckham LOVES the tub! It's our cure-all for him.

Beck cut 4 teeth at the same time a couple weeks back. Needless to say it was horrible for all of us. The only way he'd stay relaxed enough to sleep was while being held. So this is what I found one day after running some errands. My poor tired boys!

Watched Jace the other day and Tess insisted that we take pictures. How cute are they?!

At the zoo with some friends. Tessie's face is blurry, not sure why. But you can see cute Benjamin and his mom Emily and then little Addy's face through Tessa's arm. It's so nice to have a zoo so close. It's one of Tessa's favorite places to go :o)

Mom and baby are doing great! We're so excited to have the new addition. Just want to kiss those chubby cheeks! Way to go Em! (and mark ;o) We love ya!

P.S. also want to give a shout out to Lyns and Garr on their new baby boy who was also born today! Congrats guys!!

4 Years!

Today is our 4 year anniversary :o) Time has gone by so quickly and has been filled with so many wonderful things. Steve and I have gone from living in a 2 bedroom apartment with a dog, to no dog, having a kid, moving in with my parents, getting pregnant again, getting into pharmacy school, moving across the country, having child #2, and now we've started up Steve's 2nd year of pharmacy school. Many more good times and bad were shared in between all these great moments and I wouldn't have wanted to share them with any other person. Steve I love you more than I could possibly express. Thank you for these first 4 years and I can't wait for what the future holds :o) You are my everything!

Taken the day our first "I love you" was said
