Dia cuatro girl 10 requested waffles and whipped cream and strawberries for breakfast. It was delicious. Most of my prep work came from the night before so I didn't have to wake up so early. She went on her early morning swim practice with a friend, so I really enjoyed sleeping in. That evening we ate their mom's frozen homemade spaghetti sauce (delicious) and salad and french bread. It was great and we all loved it. I love that this has turned into a dialog of what we ate, but I guess that's what we do three times a day! This evening the girls did chores and homework and I went for a walk. It was a beautiful evening.
Day five consisted of cleaning the house up and making sure everything was in great order for the parents to come home as well as making sure the girls had laundry and other things ready to stay with their friends for the weekend. I guess on Saturday, when girl 14 went home to feed their inside dog, she noticed a bit of water in the laundry room where the dog is kept when nobody is home and put a towel down to soak it up. Little did girl 14 know that sweet Annie, the dog, bit a hole in their water softener tube and by the time mom and dad got home Monday afternoon, their basement was flooded. Sad day...
Anyway, all in all, it was a great time. Girl 10 texted me Friday evening and said she was ready for me to come back. lol...so sweet. I felt pretty darn special!

Day 3
Chocolate chip pancakes was girl 14's request for Wednesday morning. I never felt such a sugar rush in the morning before! Ok, I probably have...but they were sure sweet and chocolatey. We ended the day with the two bball games. Both girls did a great job and should've have beat their games. Girl 10's team lost by 3 points and girl 14's team lost by 4. It was really fun to go to a bball game again. I got my cheering on and had such a great time. I hope my kids want to be involved in sports! I loved watching my brothers play and loved to play as well. It seemed like we were always at a track meet (getting sunburned or eating fresh fruit with lime and chili on it)or a basketball game (i loved the away games to AZ, NM, and TX). My parents coached track for a couple years and my oldest brother high jumped till after his mission. Great times! I think its great to be involved in sports, band, choir, student council, etc...or whatever you like. I know the different stuff I was involved in (and AM involved in) has taught and continues to teach me a lot. Fun times...

Day 2
Day 1 finished well. The girls love the homemade pico de gallo (salsa) and love my spanish rice. I wasn't too impressed with how my rice turned out, but they thought it was great, so who cares??!?!? The oldest girl even went back 4 times for more. We went to Millhollow for frozen yogurt for our FHE and then talked for about two hours about their day and just fun girl talk. I love how they interact as sisters. I never had a sister growing up, so watching them is extra fun for me!
Day two was great. 10 year old and I went to the gym at 6:15 a.m. to get her swimming practice in and my running in for the day. I haven't gotten up that early in quite awhile, especially for exercise. :) It was great to have done! It was a blizzard Tuesday morning and we got about 3-4 inches of snow and plenty of wind to go with that. I have a deep respect for mothers that work. I was in my dress, nylons, high heals, ready for work...perfectly curled hair, etc...I walked (thinking I would be fine to run out without a coat on or HOOD)out to my car and scrape off my vehicle. The wind picked up and the snow that fell/was falling was so dense, I was pretty wet by the time I got back in the house. Wet freshly curled/hairsprayed hair looks real good. :) PS...my hair gets a little frizzy when it gets wet.
Well, I just looked in the mirror and thought, well, here we go! We had to get out the door to drop off girl 14 at school and to get me to work! When I got to work, I really felt like a wet dog, but wasn't too bad. Again, new respect for moms that work. I think I would always have an extra outfit, makeup, comb, etc...in my car for emergencies. Especially if I were to work in an office where you were expected to look presentable.
We had taco soup (their mom had frozen) which was really simple and I made more pico since we ate all of the day before's. The girls have chores and responsibilities and don't let me help. I offered to clean up after dinner while they did homework, and they said, "no way! our mom would be upset!" They are so helpful! After that, we ran errands and as soon as we got in bed, we all died. I love that feeling. So great to be tired from a full day!
If you couldn't tell, I have just really enjoyed this. It's great to try something new and be out of your comfort zone for awhile. Parents really sacrifice so much. That is one part I have loved. I haven't worried much at all about myself this week. I seem to constantly be thinking about what's best for them, what they would enjoy doing, what they would enjoy for dinner, etc...
Until day three...

My New Job: Mother
Day 1
No...not really, but kind of! My coworker and his wife went on vacation this week and asked me to stay with their 10 and 14 year old daughters for the week. I of course accepted and so far its going great! I got up this morning at 5:30 a.m. in order to drop them off at the airport and then come back and make sure the girls were ready for school. My week consists of viola lessons, two basketball games, one track meet, swim practice, cheer practice, homework, dinners, school registration, dentist appointment, and other fun stuff. I had Sunday dinner yesterday with the family in order to meet the girls and for them to meet me. So far, I feel welcomed by them. They are cute girls and I am excited for the adventure it will be. Tonight for dinner we are going mexican style and having fajitas and spanish rice.
My 8-5 p.m. job still exists. Actually this week I am training for a new position because my dear friend is moving back east with her husband, and I was asked to take her job. This is what I have to say about all of it:
I thought you all would enjoy that! I am super excited and will update you with the exciting events of my new adventure.

Easter Weekend
So during the Priesthood session the ladies and Kyson went shopping. My favorite part is that our first stop was Cal Ranch. This is Kyson relaxing as we ladies did the shopping.
My one and only fish I caught...Mr. Albino himself.
Mi fishiando. So the man sitting down in the background slid into the reservoir almost up to his knees as he got down to the bottom to start fishing. I felt bad because he had just gotten there and the cold wind was blowing and now he was wet to start out his afternoon of fishing. Maybe real fishermen don't mind getting wet, it probably makes the experience more memorable.
Two brothers and a nephew. These two brothers get mistaken for being twins quite often. I guess there is a couple in their ward that can't understand how they are twins but 4 days apart. LOL...Actually they are 4 years and 4 days apart. They dislike pictures, so the shot of their backs is about as good as it gets folks...at least for today.
Beautiful Utah!
It was great to spend time with family and also watch conference. Friday we went to dinner with some friends and family to celebrate Brian and Brett's bdays and then had mom's famous (in my mind everything my mom makes is famous...) homemade german chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. Saturday we watched conference, did some work on mi carro, and went fishing. Great times. We can't wait till June to spend time all together again!
