Also, on the baking vein, I've been trying lots of new recipes lately. I tried a new Indian recipe this week and it didn't quite turn out. I have a different Indian recipe that is one of my favorite things to make and I want to share it for all who may be interested. I've tested it out and can vouch for it, delicious. Just click here. It's great with naan bread and pretty easy. Don't be intimidated by the hundreds of ingredients, they are all worth it in the end.

Homemade Bread
I love homemade bread, what is there not to love? I made rolls today and because it's just Stephen and I and three dozen rolls are just a few too many I made some cinnamon rolls and a loaf of bread. I had to take this picture and put it on the blog because I've never made a successful loaf of bread on my own before. I am always trying to make wheat bread and it just doesn't turn out quite as nice a white bread. I won't complain about having some homemade white bread to eat this week!

Tahoe
Stephen and I went to Lake Tahoe last weekend. It was a quick trip but so much fun!
We went for a hike on Saturday that ended up lasting about four hours. I felt like I could have hiked forever that day with the great weather and beautiful scenery. Stephen got a little burnt out by the end. We were just a couple of cute little rednecks that night.
We loved all of the pines, it was gorgeous. Our hike took us up on the mountains surrounding the lake, if you look close you can see it in this picture.
Our room had a fireplace and it was amazing. I LOVE fireplaces and now think that I for sure need one in my bedroom someday. Stephen took this picture for me because whenever we were in our room I would turn the fire on and lay in front of it.
After church on Sunday we went down by the lake and walked on the beach for a bit.

Out With The Old and In With The New
Since graduating in May, Stephen and I have moved to a new city, gotten new jobs, have some new furniture, and recently we got a new car. It's been crazy having so much change and so many big decisions to make but it's fun to have new things in life.
So far Draper is great, we love our town home, and our jobs are going really well. The new furniture is fun but I have the home-decor bug now that our place is more than 500 square feet and I'm anxious to finally put things up on the walls and get the rest of the furniture we want...things are a little bare.
The car was a bit of an impulse buy. Stephen's good ole' 1992 Camry was good to us and we wanted it to last just a bit longer but the transmission had other plans. He's a loyal person and couldn't help himself; we got another Camry. The fact that it is going to cost us less per month than many people pay for their cable also helped bring out Steve's impulsive side. It's still shiny enough that you can see me taking the picture! We'll see how long that lasts....

Happy Birthday Headdy!
You're not quite as old as we always wanted to be but don't worry, we'll get to be old cat ladies together someday soon....

I'm a Mormon
It's been kind of fun for me having Stephen be a stay-at-home husband these past two weeks. I know it's been driving him crazy and he can't wait to start work next week but I have to admit I will miss his help!
Besides the big help (shopping, cooking, grading papers, other domestic and wonderfully helpful things) he has done a lot of net-surfing and he found these great videos. They are from mormon.org and we really liked them, I was skeptical at first but after I watched one I just watched them all. If you're interested, check them out here!
