These first two pictures crack me up because Jake's expressions look like they are straight out of a horror movie where someone is sneaking up behind him ready to attack! And the 3rd pic, well, I just can't resist those cute little cheeks!

Oompa Loompa

A.K.A. The reason Chef Boyardee should be banned from my household

So I am sure most of you know what an Oompa Loompa is. In the off chance you forgot or need a little refresher, this is what they look like:

Did anyone else think Willy Wonka was a really traumatically scary movie???  I mean, creepy little orange men with green hair working in a candy factory and singing songs is just, well, creepy. 

Anyway, one evening, Ryan decided he had had enough of being a regular little boy and instead decided to turn into an Oompa Looma, Ravioli Style.  I couldn't believe how that shade of orange so closely resembled those funky little men from the movie.  And despite a good scrub down in the bath after these photos, he still had a fake-and-bake glow to him.  I was worried I may just be stuck with a nightmare inducing Oompa Loompa for the rest of my life!  Thankfully, after a second bath he returned to his normal caucasian skin tone, but it kind of makes you wonder, what the heck is in that Chef Boyardee crap???

Welcome to Fort Jake

Jake loves his "new" bed and can play in it like a fort now!  His imagination is really taking off and it's so fun to listen to the things he says while he is playing.

My Little Snowmen!

On February 11th we got a crazy snowstorm through Dallas! We woke up to a LOT of snow and we were pretty excited to get out in it and play. We didn't have any snowbibs or snow boots for the boys, but I layered them up and they did just fine. Both boys thought it was really cool and Jake was all about the snowball fights! He even found himself a little snowbunny to snuggle up with! Hope you enjoy these pics. They are some of my favorites of the boys.

Amazing Jake's

We took our first trip back to Amazing Jake's since Jake's first birthday.The boys had a blast and Jacob was much more into all of the games this time around. Both boys rode the train and the carousel and Jacob learned how to bowl in the mini bowling alley! Tim even won the jackpot on one of the games and we got a TON of tickets! I apologize for these pictures being so horrible in quality, but I'm no pro with a point and shoot in horrible lighting conditions.
