As usual, I was horrible about taking pictures when Lane and Laurie were in town. I don't know what it is about my inability to use my camera when we have company. When we go to North Dakota in a few months I am going to swipe all of Laurie's photos (the one's from their last trip out as well) and finally post them! Here are the 3 pics I did manage to get. Jake and Ry love their grandpa!!!

Pajama Party
I'm beginning to notice that our lives look like one big pajama party. I swear the boys do wear regular clothes, but when we are planning to hang around the house we usually hang out in our jammies. The boys just look so cute in their pj's!

Fashion Innovator?
Jake has a very, um, unique sense of fashion. This is what he put on all by himself the other day after his nap. Is he forward thinking in the fashion world? Or does he just have no clue what fashion even means? You decide.

Jacob's VERY FIRST Haircut!!!
On our way home from the Arboretum, we decided to go get Jake's hair cut. It was time, and even though I loved his long scraggly hairs over his ears and down his neck, they needed to go. I had envisioned his first haircut being in one of those silly, overpriced salons just for kids, so that is where we went, but we won't go there again because OUCH, that hurt our bank account! For having missed his nap that day, Jake was surprisingly relaxed about having some random lady take a sharp object near his head. He barely batted an eyelash when she brought out the clippers. And when it was all said and done my baby looked like such a handsome little man!
The "Before" shot
All done!
A "pop pop" for being such a good boy!
Doesn't it look sooooo much better?
All grown up

Dallas Arboretum
For my birthday we finally made it down to the Dallas Arboretum, a place I have been wanting to go to since we moved here 3 years ago. They have a special exhibit up this year of 14 storybook playhouses and I was so excited to take the boys to see these! We had such a fun day and I am looking forward to taking another trip out there this fall to see the pumpkins they put out each year!
