This big guy is FOUR MONTHS OLD today!!! Amazing! He is just such a cute bundle of chubbiness and we cannot get enough of him! I LOVE all his chins :)
Fun Facts about Ryan:
- He's a thumb sucker and seems to prefer his left thumb
- He has the CUTEST dimples on both of his cheeks
- He is starting to laugh spontaneously and it is ADORABLE
- He wears the same size diapers as his big brother
- He is getting more and more coordinated every day. He grabs onto toys put in front of him and really likes playing on his playmat.
- We are thisclose to him rolling - both from tummy to back and back to tummy. He tries so hard. It's really cute how he clenches his tummy muscles and tries to roll.
- He has had two ear infections - poor baby :( We hope this doesn't continue to be a trend.
- He seemed to develop colic around 3 months of age, when most babies should be ending their colicky stage. Its very strange but sometime between 5:30 and 8pm he FREAKS OUT -and I am not exaggerating- he SCREAMS in the most high-pitched, glass shattering pitch you have ever heard. It is so hard to see him like that. We are pretty sure it happens when he doesn't nap enough during the day and he just becomes overly tired. He has gotten better, so it's not every night, but he still does it some nights and we can't WAIT for that to be over.
- Most nights (after he stops freaking out!) he sleeps for 10 or 11 hours straight! Woohoo!!!
- He is just the sweetest little 4 month old and we love him so much!!!
Last week Jacob turned 18 MONTHS OLD!!! I can't believe my "baby" is a year and a half already! He is such a sweet boy and has MAJOR personality. We just adore this little boy he is becoming!
Fun Facts about Jake:
- Most mornings, Jake wakes up and wants to put on his coat (as seen in the photo above).
- In addition to the coat, he also chooses a hat to wear (he chose daddy's hunting beanie in the pic above).
- He likes to put his shoes on too, but when he is wearing footed pajamas I simply cannot let him do it :o)
- He FINALLY learned to give closed mouth kisses (we always got slobbered on before) and he makes a very dramatic "MUAH" sound with each kiss. Cutest.Thing.EVER.
- His vocabulary is expanding every day and he repeats just about everything he hears. His most used words are (pronunciations in parentheses): Mommy, Dada, baby, help (hep or hepu), please (peas), blueberries (bebebees), snack (nack), no, yes (ya), doggies (dedees), bowl, bath, hi, bye-bye, and ball.
- He knows so many animal sounds - cow (moo), lion (raaaar), kitty cat (meow), doggie (woof woof), bird (tweet tweet), snake (hissssssss), owl (hoo hoo), frog (ribbit - but when he says it it sounds like bebe), rooster (cockadoodledoo - in Jakespeak he does some weird roll of the tongue. really cute)
- He always unzips his pajamas before he falls asleep at night.
- He goes down the "big boy" slide at the park all by himself. He doesn't need me anymore :o(
- He can hit a ball off of a tee with his bat
- He still loves bathtime
- And he still eats blueberries by the pound.
- He is seriously so much fun and we love him so much!!!
