Deadwood, South Dakota!

For Labor Day weekend we made the flight up to South Dakota for Lane and Laurie's wedding! They had a destination wedding in a quaint little casino town called Deadwood and we had a lot of fun! Here are pics from our trip (not many since it is becoming increasingly difficult for a woman with a big belly to chase around her very mobile toddler and take photos at the same time!) And I apologize in advance for the glare in the wedding pictures. The sun was shining directly at me. Here we go:

Jake Meets Emma

Ever since my friend Ivory had her beautiful little girl, Emma, back in March we have been waiting to meet her! We planned on seeing her when we visited Denver in June, but that was when we were all hit with that dreadful stomach bug, so unfortunately we didn't get to see her then. We just couldn't risk getting the little cutie pie sick.

So when we found out we had a layover in Denver on our way to South Dakota for Tim's dad's wedding (pictures to come) we knew we had to find a way to meet up! Because she is such a nice friend, Ivory made a special trip out to the airport with Emma to meet us for lunch so we could FINALLY get our Emma fix!!! Here are a few photos we got:

Jacob received this awesome basketball hoop from our friends The Schwaberow's and he instantly fell in love. The second we pulled it in off the front porch he knew it was his and just had a huge grin on his face. It didn't take him long to figure out what to do with it! In this video, you can finally see Jake walking (sorry I have been bad with the videos), see him shoot a basket, and also see him using some of his sign language ("all done"). It gets a little bumpy at times because I am walking around with the camera, but hang in there. It's cute :)

Jake's Birthday Bash

We had a small party for Jacob's first birthday the Friday before he turned one at a place called Amazing Jake's. It's an indoor arcade and amusement park and we all had a blast. Jake acted as if he knew the party was for him and was just so excited to be there and see his neighbor friends! Here are pics from that night:
