Jake's First Easter!

I decided to post Easter pics before our California pics, since holiday pictures are more fun when you see them shortly after the holiday. Enjoy!

Oh my goodness! The Easter Bunny came!!!
This stuff is sooo cool!
Hurry I wanna play with my toys!
So serious about the plastic eggs
Must. Grab. More. Eggs.

This next series of pictures is what you get when you try to take a nice picture with your squirmy 7 month old son when all he wants is to be playing with his plastic eggs:

Not terrible, but blurry.
Not so great.
Pretty cute
He's had enough! (Don't worry, he didn't fall!)
P.S. For those of you concerned, Jake's rash ended up going away on Saturday, so we didnt have to take him back into the pediatrician. We still are unsure what he was allergic to, but hopefully it was just something random in California that we won't encounter again. :)

The Spotted Baby

Last Sunday Jake woke up with a really icky hive-looking rash. This is a picture of him from when we got home on Monday night. It's still sticking around, unfortunately, and we will probably have to take him BACK in to the pediatrician on Monday and this time they will prescribe him something. As bad as it looks, it doesnt really seem to be bothering him. He hasnt been sleeping through the night this week, but that could just be him adjusting back to our time zone after traveling.

No mom, I'm embarrassed!
Ok, fine, I guess you can see...
I'm proud of my spots!
The spots are no longer on his belly as of today, but instead are hanging out on his arms, legs and a few on his face. Poor baby. I hope he gets well soon!

The pics I tried to post the last time...

Jake playing with his playhouse
Everything goes straight to the mouth
A view from "inside" the house
Jake got a hold of the Hershey's syrup!
Just kiddng! It's prunes!
Daddy found mommy and Jake like this one morning. Too tired to get up after an early feeding.
But camera flash is pretty good at waking us up!

Pictures from our California trip are coming! We have a bunch, so it may take a while. Stay tuned!

6 Month Stats!

Jacob had his six month check-up today and he hasn't grown as much as we thought he had! He's in about the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. He weighs 18lbs 8.5oz, is 27 1/4in. long. He had a bunch of shots today including part 1 of his flu vaccine. Fun stuff! He was pretty angry about the shots, but calmed down right after, fell asleep in the car ride home and took a two hour nap once we got home. He's such a trooper! He goes back in mid-April for part deux of the flu vaccine, but doesn't have another routine check up until 9 months. I think it will probably fly by!

I will post a few random pics from this last week in another post. Have a happy day!

EDITED: Well, blogger is being difficult and isn't lettng me post pictures right now. I will try again later. Sorry!

Let it snow!

It started snowing yesterday evening, and this is what we woke up to:

I can't believe we had a snow like this in MARCH! It was Jake's first time to go play in the snow, so we joined the neighbor kids and made a snowman:

Jake kept giggling at the snow! He loved it!
The neighbor kids and their snow frog:

After we all had gone inside I heard a ruckus outside so I went outside to find the snowman and frog destructed. There were 3 boys that had just passed our house and they were throwing snowballs at houses. I knew they were resposible so I asked them if they did it. They denied it, but I made sure to let them know they should be ashamed of themselves. Darn bratty teens!

A video from today :)

Another from the beginning of Feb.

From several weeks ago...

If you click on the picture to make it big and look very close you can see his tooth! Hooray!
