HAPPY THANKSGIVING and Happy 1 month to RYAN!

Ryan is already 1 month old! The days are FLYING by! He is starting to find his voice and is cooing which is just so darn cute. I can't get enough of his chubby cheeks ! He is doing really well at night and even gave us an almost 5 hour stretch of sleep last night. I want to hold on to his adorable newborn-ness, but he is growing soooo fast that I know I don't have too much of that left. His 0-3 month clothes are already starting to get tight!

I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving! We hosted our very first Thanksgiving in our home and were so lucky to get to spend it with Tim's mom and step-dad. I even made a few things! I will tell more of that later when I can upload photos.

Last Thanksgiving I could not have imagined feeling more blessed than I did then. We had a beautiful 3 month old baby boy, Tim had found an awesome new job, and we were surrounded by friends and family.

Somehow though, we were blessed with even more wonderful things this year and I truly am so grateful for all of the incredible gifts in our life. I have never felt more joy than I do right now and I just want to savor every single moment.

I am thankful for all of you - our family and friends! Thank you for following our lives on this blog and for reaching out to us via email, phone and in person. You each are so special to us and Tim and I and the boys are very blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Chubba Bubba

Ryan had his 2 week check up on November 10th, exactly two weeks from the day he was born. At that visit, we found out that he weighed 10lbs 0.5oz!!! Our baby boy is a FAST grower! He was discharged from the hospital at 7lbs 15oz, so he gained quite a bit in just a short time. As of right now, he is on pace to be a chubbier baby than his big brother was :)

My computer is acting up again and is only working in Safe Mode, so until I get it figured out I can only post pictures that were already uploaded to my computer, and unfortunately, these are the last of them. Enjoy pictures from Ryan's 3rd week of life (and I hope to get you caught up on his 4th and 5th weeks of life very very soon!).

He really loves his swing

Yes, I have one of those snot-nosed toddlers :)

Week Two

The day Ryan turned two weeks old, we said goodby to my mom and stepdad and welcomed my dad and stepmom! My brother, Alan, and my two stepsisters, Steph and Courtney, also came to visit at the end of the week. Here are pics from their stay:

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween day we put the boys in their tie-dyed pumpkin shirts and later that evening we attended a block party on our street. It was nice to get out of the house and mingle with friends and neighbors. Here are the photos. Happy belated Halloween!

The following sequence shows you how tough it is to get a good photo of three boys:
Winner of the best photo of the sequence :)

Jake had a total blast on halloween night and just milled about all the people. It was so cute to watch him make the rounds. When we got home and the treak-or-treaters started arriving he loved to run to the door and see the kids and would cry every time we shut the door. We finally had to put him to bed because he would just melt down when each group of kids left.
We think Ryan thought Halloween was pretty boring since he slept through most of it!
