Sorry!

Things have been super hectic around here since we got back from Bismarck. I've been recovering from a cold/sinus infection and we've been trying to get the house cleaned up for my Dad and step-mom (they'll be here in a few minutes!). I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow from our ND trip. Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful one :) Check back soon!

Somebody is 3 Months Old Today!!!

Can you believe it?!? Our little boy is no longer a newborn! He growing up so fast *sniff, sniff*. Here are some pics from our little munchkin that we took today. We're having a great time in ND. More pics coming soon!

Well, actually there isn't one, but these are the forecasted high temperatures for Bismarck, ND for the next 8 days! EEEK! But cold or not, Jake and I are heading there tomorrow and will be joined by Tim on Friday. We are SOOO excited because our baby boy will finally get to meet the rest of his family (and a little birdie told me how excited they all are to meet Jacob!). I haven't been to ND in several years, so I am looking forward to visiting with everyone and getting to spend some more time in Tim's hometown.

I'm trying to figure out how I should dress on the plane since we will be leaving 80 degree weather and arriving in 40 degree weather. Any suggestions? Hopefully my little furnace of a baby will help keep me warm and cozy :)

Twelve weeks and a Teeny Tongue

Jacob is now 12 weeks old and he is changing by the day! This weekend he really started trying hard to roll over, both from tummy to back and back to tummy. When he rolls from tummy to back his head kind of gets in the way so he only gets to his side, but its close enough to call it a roll :) Hopefully I will catch that on camera before too long.

For now, enjoy a flick of Jake sticking out his tongue to mimic me - his favorite game to play with mommy!

Farmington Part 3 - New faces!

The main reason for our visit to Farmington was so Jacob could meet a majority of my extended family before Christmas. He certainly got to meet a lot of new faces! Take a look....

I had a great time introducing my son to all of my friends and family and I was really happy that everyone who had already met him, got to spend a little more time with him before he gets any bigger! Farmington Part 4 will be next...I told you I have a ton of photos! Hope November is going well for everyone!

Poor baby!

Our little baby had to have his first round of shots yesterday and he was not pleased about it at all! Poor guy screamed his head off and I did my best not to cry. He was a trooper though and fell asleep as soon as I got him in the car. He wasn't even too crabby the rest of the day! Here are his stats from yesterday...

• Jacob weighs 14lbs 9oz. (95th percentile)
• He is 24.5 inches long (also 95th percentile)
• His head is NOT huge, as one of Tim's co-irkers pointed out, measuring in at 16 inches (60th percentile)

Our little Jake is just as healthy as can be and we are so happy!

Farmington - Part 2 (aka World Series Sadness)

Jake got to watch his first World Series ever while we were in Farmington. Here is a play-by-play of his reactions to the game...

Farmington Trip - Part 1

I have a ton of pictures from Farmington, so I am going to break it up into parts in hopes that will make it slightly less overwhelming. We had a great time visiting family and friends and are already looking forward to returning at Christmas! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Big Development!

Jacob has been really grabbing on to things in the past couple days. For example, he now grabs his "parts" when I am changing his diaper (yep, he's definitely a guy!) and when he is nursing he loves to pinch my arm. Well, today he learned how to grab on to one of the toys on his chair and he finally pulled hard enough to make it play music! This was a big development for him, and luckily I was right there with camera in hand!!! Just goes to show that if you get mad enough at something, it just might work (you'll understand when you watch!)
