Ok, so I am reeeeaaallly late on this, but several weeks ago fellow blogger and photographer extraordinaire, Kate Mefford, "tagged" me. She shared eight things about herself that most people didn't know, so now I must do the same and tag 8 more bloggers (do I know eight?!?). Here goes....
1) I have a sock fetish. I only own one pair of white socks. The rest are brightly colored and patterned.
2) Because of my tendency to be overly strict about the rules when playing board games, I am known as "The Game Nazi". Don't try to sneak anything past me if we are playing Monopoly or Scrabble!
3) I always read the dessert menu before anything else when I go out to eat. I loooove dessert!
4) I am a major perfectionist. Borderline OCD. I despise cleaning because it takes me ten times longer than a "normal" person to finish because it's never quite perfect. Case in point - it takes me about 15 minutes just to make our bed!
5) I love photography and am in awe of people who have the gift of being able to create the perfect shot. Some day I need to take another photography class (I took one in college but have managed to forget most everything I learned - whoops!). Kate- I'll be the first signed up for yours when you are ready!
6) Seeing Tim dressed up in his suits for his new job is something I am really looking forward to :) He just looks so handsome!
7) I can't watch scary movies or even the previews for scary movies. They make me so nervous. Thank goodness for DVR - I can just fast-forward right through them!
8) Jacob's hands are my favorite thing to look at. I adore the way he places them on me or up against his face. He is just so delicate! I can't get enough of him!
Ok, so now I am tagging all my blog buddies! Post 8 things about yourself for all your readers to enjoy!
Ivory & Jamie (And baby!)
Alisha, Dave and Ella James
The Daugherty Fam
Brooke & Brian
Rachael, Dan & Jack
The Cruchet Fam
Donell & Joel
and I would ask The Younker's, but they are having their baby boy today!!! Congrats to Tracy, Tom and Zac! Can't wait to meet Tyler!
So just 7 for me, unless someone else out there has a blog I don't know about :) Ok loyal readers, pictures galore will be up soon from my Farmington trip - so stay tuned!
Ta ta for now!

My how time flies...
Today I realized that this month marks the one year anniversary of owning our home! Its incredible how we have transformed this empty house into a place that we love to call home. Its also amazing how much changes in a year. If you would have asked me where we would be at this point in time I never would have imagined we would have a beautiful 2-month old baby boy, that Tim would be starting a new job, or that I would be a work-at-home MOM! But even though I wouldn't have guessed it, I couldn't be happier with the way things have worked out. I am so proud of the life and family that we have created and am so grateful for all of the amazing ways God has blessed us. I can't wait for all of the exciting things the future holds!
- As you may have noticed from the pictures, he is really responding to us with smiles and laughs. Nothing makes us happier than to see his beautiful grin.
- Jacob has discovered that sucking on his arm and hand is MUCH more fun than sucking on a pacifier. The other day I noticed he had even given himself a light hickey on his arm! Silly boy!
- It appears he is learning how to stick out his tongue a little further. Today he really pushed it out when his daddy was bugging him :)
- I don't want to jinx it, but Jake has slept through the night for the past 2 nights! 9 hours the first night, 8 hours the second!
So as you can tell, things have been pretty fun around here lately! We also had some Halloween fun this weekend. Jake and I attended a playgroup hosted by my sorority alumni club yesterday, and the three of us went to the Big Orange Pumpkin patch today. Busy bees, we are, and tomorow Jake will be making his first flight - he and I are going to Farmington! Yay!
Here are the pics from yesterday and today. Enjoy!

Puppy love, a new friend, and more guests!
Last week was a fun week here in the Olson household - for me especially! My friend Ivory was in town (for work) and she got to meet Jake for the first time. We took him to Bunco on Tuesday to meet all the ladies in our neighborhood and also to meet his new playmate Gavin, who was born on September 26th! Congrats to the Daugherty's on their new baby boy and future BFF of Jacob!
On Friday Ivory got to check out of her hotel and come stay with us for the weekend. Tim watched Jake while us girls went to a cooking class hosted by my sorority alumni club. We had a fun time and got to sample some yummy new recipes! On Saturday we got in some shopping and on Sunday we had to say goodbye.
Here are some pics from last week!

SMILES!
I haven't been able to capture too many of Jacob's melt-your-heart smiles, but this morning he was just grinning away while I was changing him (he LOVES his changing pad) so I was finally able to get some great shots! I LOVE his grin! Too cute!
