I will have to admit its been a little crazy in the house of the Daggs'. But I did not realize that its been over 2 months since I have blogged!
So here's an update.
McGuire:
He's now 4 and 4 months old, I can't believe it. He has grown up so fast, accomplished so many great things. We just turned in his paperwork for Pre-school for Midway Elementary! He keeps asking me when he gets to go. Only 5 months until its time to get on the yellow bus and head to school. That will be a very emotional day. We are slowly preparing for it, we practice the ABC's at least twice a day, learning all the shapes and colors under the sun, and we even have converstions about whats past the sun! He's getting to be a very intelligent young boy, and its great!
McKinlee:
She's now 5 months old and is rolling EVERYWHERE she possibly can, until she gets stuck anyway. She's figured out that if she screams long and loud enough, her daddy will be right there to her rescue. we've now overcome croupe, a nasty cold, and ear/sinus infection. She has figured out how to reach and grab things and take them to her mouth for teething comfort. Next step is to start cereal and baby food. Instead of trying to sit up on her own she would rather try and stand. She is soooo close to crawling, just coordination with arms and legs... then she'll be mobile.
Family:
Taylor is starting outdoor motorcross season, which means a busy summer for us and alot of traveling. McGuire is going to be getting a bike here pretty soon and start racing as well (once we get balance going)
Since the season is coming up we are getting fit for it. I myself just trying to get the baby weight off (which is a lot) and he just needs to strengthen.
My weight loss goal is 40 lbs. I know its alot but very possible. I weighed 148 when I got pregnant. I now weigh 164 lb. 16lbs is really the only gain that I have left to lose, but to get back to my pre-pre baby body. 40 lbs.... Its going to be a slow and miserable time but it will be well worth it! Diet is the first part- I removed carbonation from my diet ( TOUGH) next is to not eat as much fast food and/or deep fried foods!
I hope I will have some good progress to report!
Hope all is well with everyone!

And let 2013 begin!
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know we sure did, now back to real life every day deals.
Christmas was great for us! Taylor had the week off from Christmas to new Years so it was wonderful to have him home with us and be able to spend family time together!
At Bungalow Boutique they have these adorable hats for kids, and I am obsessed over them so I had my mom in-law get one for each of my kids. McKinlee was the only one who would let me take a pic of her with it on. McGuire was in one of his moods again (see previous post)
Bell/ Curious George, our elf on the shelf, had to say his good bye to McGuire with a nice little gift - angry birds pj's to keep him warm during the cold night and to help him sleep while Santa visited our home that night.
I tried being mommy homemaker and baked some delicious sounding choc chip cookies for Santa.. Yeah the recipe is wrong- not enough flour and my cookies were one big burnt cookie! So Santa didn't get any cookies this year.
As the new year was rolling in, one thing after another had to go wrong. I mean it always comes in three's so I guess I should have seen this coming. We noticed that I had a flat tire from traveling from a Christmas party in Logan, luckily it was flat the morning after the party. That night McGuire had to be his clumsy self (He's definitely my child) and ran into the wall down stairs.. By the screech in his cry I knew something was serious. He had bit Thur and Thur his bottom lip, and also the inside of he mouth. So a trip to the ER was where we went. After a 2 hour wait, sedation and 6 stitches later we were home at 1:30 am New Years Eve, I had to call into work that morning- McGuire was still high as a kite asking for Santa and saying I had 4 eyes. That night Taylor had the worst stomach flu I have ever seen in my life. By the time I got into my bed after playing nurse mommy it was 2:30 am Jan 1st... Happy new year- Thanks 2012 for the Grand Finale!
This is McGuire High as a kite!!
New Year Resolutions for me and our family: (no particular order)

Update Time
So Its update time!
Sorry its been so long! Life gts crazy working full time and having 2 kids (really it feels like 3 sometimes, sorry Tay)
Mcguire Turned 4 (back in Nov)! He was so excited to be 4! For a while he would tell everyone he was 17, but I finally convinced him that being 4 is pretty much the coolest age ever! So we had a little mini party for him the Sunday before with Grandparents and any Aunt or Uncles who could make it. He got way too many presents for a 4 year old. But he deserved it for all the great things he's achieved throughout the year of a 3 year old! It was a bitter sweet day for me ( I was still a little hormonal from having Mckinlee) I cried because my little 3 year is 4 and he is going up too quickly! I have those days quite often but that day was a HARD one. Now every time we're in the toy section of the store, he'll point out a toy and say, " I want thaaat, for my birday mom?!?" I reply "of course sweetie, that's in 11 months" He says, " Wow, thats soon!" I love it the optimism that he has towards fun things!
McKinlee is now almost 3 months old! Just on Saturday our little 12 week old ROLLED OVER! I couldn't believe it and I screetched in amazement as she was doing it. I obviously did too loud because as she flipped over she looked at me with a quivered lip. But after I realized I scared her, I congratulated her with hugs and kisses and she realized what she did was a good thing. We were so in awe with disbelief we had to try it again, and again... she did a total of 3 times! I can't believe how fast she's grown!
I make it certain that my kids will see Santa Claus at least one time a year. Last year I wasn't able to get a picture of McGuire with Santa Claus so this year we went to the University Mall in Orem and got pictures done with him. McGuire has his mood where he'd love to let you take his picture, and then he has his grouchy days where your lucky he is even looking at the camera.. Well this day was a grouchy day, he was thrilled to see Santa but not thrilled for the pictures. Luckily he just sat there for a few minutes and glared at the photographer. McKinlee was just googly eyed at all the noise around her. I thought it was a great Christmas card picture lol
Then Sears has this great promotion going on for pictures, and its been about 3 1/2 years since I have had them professionaly done, so I decided why not. I couldn't resist just going with the one promotion and I spent way more then I expected but hey, I needed them and they were so dang cute!

Thankful
Its Thanksgiving!! YAY one of my favorite holidays, I get to eat all the food I want and the Calorie counter has an unlimited amount for me to use :) Also it is a BIG reminder on how grateful and thankful I am for all the many blessings!
There are so many things to be grateful for I can't even start.
Every night when I lay in my bed, my patience is to its ultimate lowest, and I feel like my day was unproductive, I always pray and thank my Heavenly Father for the many blessings I have in my life. For all the simple things that I have that could be luxurious to others. It brings me to tears to think of all the things the lord has blessed me with that is irreplaceable. Here are a few (not in any specific order):
My hard working, loving Husband- he just knows me soo well its scary!
My two beautiful and perfect children- the hardest day of my life and they can always put joy back in it!
My family- who always is there for me when I need a helping hand
My mom- she's taught me so much more then I thought
My dad- he always has a way for everything to work out right
My house that has turned into a HOME
My religion- that I thoroughly know that its true and Families can be together forever!
My Job- To actually have one and love it too
My Friends- even if I haven't talked or seen them in years, they are always my angels in disguise
These are just the few things that I grateful and thankful for, I could go on and on! Anyways.... Just the last two months I have really be grateful for every little thing. Just holding my beautiful new born and having McGuire come up on my lap too and cuddling with me.. He whispers in my ear "Mom, we family right?!?" I mean come on, how could you not tear up at that?!?
My sister calls it "the weeps" after you have your baby. Where you just sit there holding your newborn child and just cry. You just think to yourself, "I'm so lucky to have you, your so beautiful and perfect! You look so peaceful, I can't believe the lord blessed me and trusts me to have you in our life. Thank you for coming into my life." I'm so grateful to be a mother, to have the ability to have that kind of love in my life, and the physical ability also.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving and can remember to be thankful for all the many hidden blessings in our lives!

Tooth Doctor
McGuire went to his 1st ever dentist visit! He gets mad at me for saying that its called a dentist.. its the tooth doctor.
He did really good, I was worried that he'd be a complete monster and that he'd have a mouthful of cavities.. WE don't really make brushing a huge priority in our family... its hard enough to get McGuire to let me comb his hair.
Dr. Ellis is the perfect dentist for McGuire, very high energy and kept McGuire entertained!!!
and we're Cavity FREE!!!

Scary time
McKinlee was born with a blocked tear duct, as was McGuire, so we were somewhat aware of the symptoms. But her's was more dominate then McGuire's. It looked like it was bruising and hurt. At McKinlee's 1st dr. visit I had him check it out and we got the typical "It should clear on its own"
I wasn't satisfied with it.
So I went to Dr. Abrams (who performed McGuire's eye sx) He said the exact same thing. But to keep an eye on it and if it gets puffy again to let him know ASAP! SO i felt a lot better about the situation. But it still didn't seem right, her tear duct seemed like it was bruising her face.. I really didn't want anything to happen to my baby! So I kept a close eye on it (no PUN intended)
Not even 5 days later McKinlee was really fussy and seemed irritated from something, It was here eye. It was overly goopy and runny. It literally was like she was crying out eye boogers.. Then it got poofy, it was like someone had hit her in the eye and it was bruising. She was never super needy and clingy. That day she was, I knew something was up. So I made another appointment... He wasn't there in the office that day (of course) so the next day was our only option. So I took some pictures of her eye so there was evidence I wasn't going crazy...
As you can see, it looks SUPER painful!
Finally after a LONG night, we got to the Dr. Abrams. He and Dr. Larson consulted with each other and decided she needed to go the Hospital to have antibiotics via IV for at least 48 hours. He stated that this was an infection in her and it could be fatal if not treted immediately.
So I called Taylor BAWLING! I mean she is only 3 weeks old and to have to go back to the Hospital and be poked even more then she already had when she was born.
After a long afternoon of talking to Dr. Larson about the steps we are going to follow we headed to the Heber Hospital.
After the nurses tried to get this needle in McKinlee's tiny veins 4 times, Taylor and I decided to go to Primary Children's, where they had the knowledge and correct machinary for Newborns.
I was so glad we decided to do that. We had 5 doctors always on the clock for us. They were so informative and went the extra mile for her.
The Doctors explained that it was an infection that had evolved in the blocked tear duct, and they were going to run some blood tests and multiple cultures to get the correct Antibiotics.
After hours of hooking her up with Vital wires, getting the Iv in (in one try) and receiving the blood for the CBC. The pediatrician came to us and explained that her White Blood Cells were way elevated for a Newborn and they need to do a spinal tap to see if the infection had spread. Reason being, she is so small and fragile that the infection could spread to her brain and cause permanent damage, not only to her eye, but her brain as well!
I thought SPINAL TAP! She can't handle that, she's only 8 lbs and barely a month old!
They were very comforting and explained everything. They let me hold her arms and watch.. It was the HARDEST thing to hear and watch. Poor taylor tried to keep himself from hurting the doctors from doing it. But he did a great job handling himself.
After 36 hours of IV fluids going in the Eye dr came in and explained that the cyst in the eye is was is making the infection and that it needed to be removed. We were hesitant on it due to anesthesia being on such a small person, but they reassured us everything was going to be ok and that this procdure was a very common one. If we didn't do the surgery the infection WOULD come back even STRONGER.
Here's her before Surgery!
Surgery it was. Poor little lady is one heck of a strong girl. The Surgery was only an hour long and everything was successful! No scars, no stitches. Just a perfectly healthy baby!
We were discharged the next morning! Her month birthday we were headed home from Primary children's, happy one month birthday baby girl. Let me tell you, that is the scariest event ever in my life. I don't know what I would do if something horrible were to happen to one of my kids. We are so blessed to have the medicine that we have today, and all the talented dr's.

Birth Story
So Mom's always love to share birth stories- and maybe no one reads them and skips to the pics but I enjoy them so here's mine :)
I woke Taylor up for him to get going to work at 6:00 am.. I wasn't feeling the greatest but that was normal for a 9 month prego like me. But I had a contraction! At first I was like no way, she's playing a trick on me again, just like last time... But it happened again 15 minutes later. I still ignored it and continued on with my morning routine.
I think McGuire knew she was coming cuz he was wide awake and helping himself get ready for the day. As we were headed to day care, I had a contraction and I did a choice of words.. McGuire overheard and yelled, " Mom, we don't say that! You need to say Holy cow instead!" I couldn't help but laugh.
After dropping him off I called Taylor letting him know that contractions were 15 minutes apart. Of course of all days he was in Park City working on the most important job of the season and he didn't drive, so no vehicle for him. So we decided to wait it out and try make it at least til noon. As I pulled into to work, Contraction of the century happened! I called Taylor once again letting him know that I can't do it. I got to go home and pack and get going to LDS Hospital. Before that I had to go into to work and tell them that I wasn't going to be working that day.
After a 30 minutes close watch and packing McGuire's to go pack, I monitored contractions to 5-7 minutes...
I called Taylor and he said I could meet him at the 1st exit in Park City.
I had never realized how stupid ppl were about their surroundings. I was driving with my hazards on trying not to cry and have a baby right then and there... Finally after only 10 minutes to the 1st exit (which seemed like an hour) Taylor was standing there waiting for me to pick him up...
We made it to the Hospital in 20 minutes, even with rush hour traffic! When we got to the hospital i was only dilated to a 4 but my contractions were so close I got to stay. I chose to not get my epidural until I was closer to giving birth or until I couldn't handle it. After 5 hours of being starving and contractions working their way up to being pretty hurtful, it was epidural time. By that time I was dilated to a 7, and Dr. Robinson had to break my water for me.
After things seemed to be slowed down, Taylor ran to the car to grab my purse and hospital bag. While he was gone, the nurse warned me that if I was nauseated, to let her know. That means my blood pressure is too low. Not a second later, I was nauseated. They checked baby's heart rate, it was to a scary low. So 5 nurses hovered over me to get baby's heart rate back to where it needs to be and my blood pressure back to normal. When Taylor made it back up, he was in a panic. I couldn't tell him what was going on cuz I was trying to breathe in Oxygen and not pass out. The Anesthesiologist had to come in and put "adrenaline" in my IV. The epidural had gotten into my blood stream and created my blood flow to slow down.
After getting me stable and Taylor's mom to calm Taylor down, Dr. Robinson checked me and gave me the ok to push!
After 3 sets of pushing, 20 minutes later McKinlee had made it into my arms! I only got to hold her for a second though. The Emergency nurses had to take her so she could be checked and make sure her vitals were ok after the epidural episode. Everything cleared! 7 lbs 10 oz, 19 inches long!
We are so blessed to have such a healthy little princess!! We couldn't imagine our lives without her!
We love you McKinlee JoAnna!!

Introducing!!
Introducing McKinlee JoAnna Daggs!
Born September 26, 2012
7 lbs 10 oz
19 inches long
Dearest McKinlee our lil baby girl!
Thank you for coming to us finally! Life has been waiting for you to be with us. Everyone in our family can't imagine our lives without you. You let us know you were ready by mommy only being in labor for 8 hours. McGuire is a very protective big brother over you, and can't wait to see you after school everyday. If you are not in my arms McGuire gets very concerned that you are lost. We love McKinlee so very much! Can't wait for all the fun memories we get to make together as a family! Love you baby girl!

Week 39
5 more days until my Due date! 5 MORE DAYS! Its seeming like forever! My doctors appointment isn't until Friday so its taking even longer!
Everything is good so far even though I cannot feel my fingers at all. You should watch me put make-up on in the morning!
No major contractions, just one every hour or so (which is a teaser to me)
Since I have never put a pic of my belly up here is one... Its a horrible pic cuz I am the one taking it and its my phone and really early in the morning when done.
Hopefully next time I write I'll have a lil infant in my arms!!!

Fall is here!
Over the weekend and in the attempt to go into labor we went for a mountain ride in Snake Creek to look at the pretty colors of fall!
I could not believe all the red this year! This is my FAVORITE time of year, things are warm yet cooler and Colors change and of course Halloween!
Since we were in such a happy mood going for a ride, I thought I would let my inner photographer out. I have been super super bad at getting pictures done on McGuire. So I thought I would do some of my own for now until baby comes then we'll do a little bit more professional.
REMINDER: These were only taken by me, I'm not a pro!! And this is a pic from a pic so its a little blurry..
