Sleepy Head

Last night we went over to our friends house for dinner. They live just a few houses away so we bundled Cassidy up and just walked over. It was only about 15 minutes past Cassidy's bedtime but she was starting to freak out a little, she had been up for about 5 hours with only about a 20 minute nap in there, that pretty much never happens and she was super tired! So I bundled her back up and ran home to put her to bed. I laid her on her bedroom floor while I went to go get her prevacid ready. I was gone about 1 minute maybe even less and I walked in to find her like this! She was one tired baby! I decided to get her out of her little suit so she wouldn't be too hot and if she stayed asleep I would put her to bed, if she woke up I would give her the prevacid and feed her. She stayed asleep while I got her out of the outfit but woke up when I picked her up. I was hoping she would sleep really well since she hasn't been lately, she didn't, but she did ok.

What a Big Girl

Cassidy is getting to be so big I just can't believe it. Today I put her in some jeans for the first time which just make her look even older! She is also wearing one of her new shirts that is still pretty big, but that's ok! In the second picture she is attempting to stand on her own (help from the couch instead of Mom) She loves to stand and I think she is better at it then she is sitting, hopefully her sitting skills will increase!

I Just LOVE a Good Deal

Today I had to go to Target to get some toilet bowl cleaner which by the way is on sale for $1.99 and has a .50 cent coupon with it. Anyway Kirsti had said that they have some good deals on kids clothes so I took a look thinking I would try not to buy anything........well maybe one thing. I ended up buying a few things and still wanting more but I had to control myself. This is what I ended up with all for $20 they had some really cute stuff Cassidy probably wont fit it to it for a while but that's ok she will have some new clothes in a few months. The sizes they had (in this little section at least) was 6 months-5T $5.00 for they long sleeves and $3.50 for the rest, they had some really cute pants too for $7.00 but none in Cassidy's size which probably was a good thing.

Family Party

On Sunday my family came over to celebrate my Birthday we had a Potato bar, cup cakes and ice cream. It was nice that every one was able to come with the exception of Mandy's family because they are in Kansas. I got clothes from my parents, a gift card to Barnes and Noble from Jody and Mike, a home made book and candy from Emily, and my gift from Jenny and Sam is on it's way, their computer broke down and was needed for my gift. Thank you every one for the gifts and for coming out, it was a lot of fun!

My Birthday

Last Friday I turned 26 I have to say this is the first time I have felt like I'm getting old, I know that 26 is still really young but I still feel like I'm just starting to work my way up there. Here are the events of my Birthday.

My sister-in-law Katie took me out to lunch at the Blue Lemon, it was a really good cafe type of place. It was a lot of fun, thanks Katie! I got lots of phone calls, e-mails, texts and cards from friends and family, thanks everyone!

Aaron gave me some presents when he got home. He gave me a card, a book "The Hunger Games" the guillotine card game which is really fun, and a towel rack shelf thing for the bathroom. My mother-in-law gave me a cute heart decoration, the bow on the present was a big hit with Cassidy! Thanks Linda!

Then some of our friends came over. Emily and Dave gave me some skittles, some coupons for scholastic book orders (which I love ordering from) and yahtzee hands down card game which is a lot of fun although I have yet to beat Aaron at it. Thanks guys!

Then we went to the Texas Road House with our friends, Kirsti volunteered to watch Cassidy thanks again Kirsti! It was nice to get out and we haven't done something with all of our friends there for a long time. We had a lot of fun! They made me sit on the saddle and gave a yee-ha to me for my birthday and I got some free ice cream. I don't like to be embarrassed like that, but it ended up not being so bad! After we went to my house and played some games. It was a really good Birthday!

Rice Cereal

Tonight we decided to give rice cereal a try. Cassidy did really well, she seemed to like it. Although she could not keep her hands out of her mouth. It seemed like after every bite she would stick her hand in her mouth and try to push the food down, it was pretty funny. Sometimes I couldn't get her hand out of the way to get the spoon in her mouth. Let's just say it was a messy first attempt.

New Entertainment

I think Cassidy has been getting bored of her same old toys, so the other day I pulled the exersaucer out. She loves it. She is a little short for it still, she can only touch the bottom with one foot on her tippy toes! But it keeps her entertained.......for now.

All Dressed Up

On Sunday we went to Aaron cousin Ike's homecoming and Cassidy wore this cute little dress, I just love it!

Christmas Dress

I never put a picture up of Cassidy in her Christmas dress, we made all the grand kids matching Christmas outfits. My sisters usually do this but this was my first year doing it! I think it turned out pretty cute!

A Good Day

Today Aaron and I cleaned out our closet. Last time we did this was about a year ago and I got rid of all my skinny jeans, well almost all of them. I kept a few that almost fit. Today I tried them on again 2 of them I still don't fit into but one pair fit I was so excited I really didn't think I would fit into any of them. It was an exciting time I was pretty much jumping up and down saying over and over they fit, they fit! They were also one of my favorite pairs of jeans so it was especially exciting!

All Tied Up

The other day while I was getting ready I set Cassidy on the bed for a minute. Some how she got tangled in the sheets. At first she thought it was funny but soon got mad when she realized she was trapped and couldn't suck on her hands like she loves to!

One Last Girls Night

Before Mandy went back to Kansas we decided to have one last girls night out! We went to the Olive Garden it was a lot of fun and very good as usual! It has been so much fun having Mandy in Utah and hanging out with her and my Mom and sisters! We love you Mandy and Zoey have a safe trip home!

It's Official she is Rolling!

If you read my last post I was unsure if Cassidy really rolled over or not. Well we tried again tonight and she rolled right over from her stomach to her back! Yay Cassidy!

Rolling or Tipping Over?

For the past couple of days Cassidy has been kicking and flinging her legs to roll over, but only when she is mad from being on her stomach. Today I put her on her stomach, she had her knees bent a little and her arms tucked under her chest so she could hold her head up. As soon as I let go of her she rolled over onto her back, it happened so fast I almost missed it. I think because she was a little higher on her elbows and knees it was really easy to flip over with just a little bit of momentum. Her face was so funny when she ended up on her back, it was confused like how did I get here? I was just on my stomach! It was really exciting! But was it really rolling over or more like tipping over? I'm not sure, we will just have to keep practicing! I took these pictures after she rolled, the second one you can see how she tries to kick her leg over, this picture was taken right before she got really mad about being on her stomach.

Girls Weekend Away

This weekend my Mom, my sisters, Cassidy and I went to Park City and Midway. First we ate at some restaurant I'm not sure I have ever known the name of, but it's a Mexican restaurant in Park City that we love! Then we went shopping at the outlet malls. Then we made our way to the condo in Midway. We ate lots of yummy food, made scarfs, sat in the hot tub (Jody is prego so she watched Cassidy for me while we did that, thanks Jody!) and we watched a movie. The next day we went and looked at ice sculptures and the crater. It was so much fun, thanks Mom for a wonderful weekend! It was so much fun to spend some time with every one!

Good thing Cassidy was here to pack around all of our stuff! I discovered this trip that I LOVE my stroller!

Thank Goodness for Savings!

While Aaron and I were both working full time we were saving money like crazy for when I stopped working, I'm so glad we did! Since we have had Cassidy we have had our laptop break, fridge go out, dishwasher was next, then the freezer in the garage and now our car! Here is the story of our car.

We hit a pot hole, yep a giant pot hole, it was about 8 inches deep (the pictures don't do it justice) it blew out two of our tires and bent the rims on both wheels, pretty crappy. But Aaron's brother Chris told us a guy who could fix it and we ended up getting a really good deal still expensive but we saved at least $100 or more from him so that was a blessing! Since we hit the pot hole we have driven past it a couple of times and both times was a car pulled off to the side of the road that had also hit it, what a pain!

Geat Great Grandma Meeks

Today we were able to go visit my Great Grandma Meeks! It was fun to be able to go see her and to have Cassidy meet her Great Great Grandma. We just love grandma Meeks so much and well have to get back to see her again soon! Grandma loved holding Cassidy she held her almost the whole time we were there and she kept giving her kisses on the top of her head, it was so sweet. After we went out to lunch with my Mom, Mandy, and Zoey. We went to Sweet Tomato, I thought it was really good it is a soup and salad bar, it was a lot of fun!

4 Month Appointment

Today Cassidy had her 4 month appointment. I feel so bad for her because she already doesn't feel good since she has a cold and has been having tummy problems too with gas and constipation and now had to get shots! Poor girl! She did really well though she had 2 shots. The first shot didn't even phase her, no reaction at all but the second one she screamed it took her a while to calm down, she was really tired too she hasn't had a good nap today and finally fell asleep about 20 minutes before we had to go to the Dr so I had to wake her up. Well here are her new states:

4 Months Old!

Yesterday Cassidy turned 4 months old I can't believe it! Here are a few facts about her at 4 months.

• She is talking more, she is still really quiet but starting to find her voice.
• She is interacting more with toys, she will grab them and eat them.
• When on her stomach she can lift her head and chest up with her arms, she starts to cry a few minutes after you put her on her stomach and will lift one leg up trying to flip it over, we'll see how long it takes her to figure out rolling over.
• She has her first cold, it's really sad she is all stuffed up and hates the bulb syringe, she has quite the snot rockets when she sneezes.
• She sleeps 8-4 then again from about 4-7 or 8, that is until she got sick. I hope she will go back to 8-4 because right now she is waking up every couple of hours.
• She loves to sit up, hates laying down unless she is going to bed.
• She is putting more weight on her legs trying to stand, she can't do it for very long.
• She is smiling a lot more, sometimes it sounds like she is going to laugh, but we haven't got a real laugh from her yet. She smiles most when you wiggle her legs.
• She loves her baths!
• She has started to slobber a lot and loves to stick out her tongue especially when she is smiling.
• Her eyes still look a bluish green, but there is a speck of brown in her left eye.
• She now fits into 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 month usually those are a little big.

She has her Doctors appointment tomorrow so I will have to put her states up then. There is a picture of her and her Daddy from yesterday and a couple pictures that I took today, as you can see her clothes are a little big they are 3-6 month, but it was the cutest little outfit I just had to try it out!
