We saw her again today!!

Today was one of those days where a blizzard turns out to be a blessing.

Last weekend we were at a birthday party for a friend when we were talking to another friend of ours, Tara. She's the one who did our ultrasound where we learned we're having a girl. I asked her what she thought about the 3-D ultrasound places where you can get those cool vanity ultrasound shots of your baby. She told us that she might be able to find a time to "sneak" us into her office for some of the 3-D shots.

Long story short... today Columbus was getting six inches of snow. I wasn't going anywhere to see customers. Not surprisingly, Tara had many of her appointments cancel. She emailed Jenn and asked if we might be able to come by at lunch. While the roads were treacherous, this was an easy decision to make. We wanted to see our baby's face! So, slip-sliding-away we went.

It was exciting and beautiful. Technology can get a bad rap sometimes. It is most often portrayed as cold and calculating. As far as I'm concerned, this is another example of technology adding beauty to the world. We saw her face, her smile, her hands, and more. Her nose looks like mine (short and piggy!), but I think most babies look like that, right? She has long guitar-player fingers and we saw a few hairs on her head. All in all, very cool.

Starting to Transform the Room.

Bright yellow won't work for our little girl. Here it is taped and primered in the corners. Ready to roll....
