i am happy. =D

it's driving me nuts. but i guess i'm feeling much happier than in the past few months. hahaha. probably it's the lack of sleep i had consecutively for the past 3 days. back after back of activities.

and i've hitting town over the weekends. sat and sun was spent in town. not that it's a bad thing. juz that it was a reminder why i dislike going to town on weekends. the crowd was maddening! even walking from esplanade to UOB plaza was a challenge. so many tourists! was busy avoiding the people while eating my ice cream under the hot sun. =)

went to 2 places for supper yest. along bukit timah plaza and then to clementi road. hahaha. i think i gained back whatever i lost in the past few days of exercising. damn!

now. to fix my bicycle. then to wait for dec schedule to be out so that i can plan to go to the flyer. then a friday to travel more cafe stores. and to schedule a date with my long-lost kindergarten friend. and there's beloved and karin to meet. and line. and probably another few more with *b. hahaha. i'm a happy girl! =D

perhaps i should stop all this nonsense before it gets out of hand again. once bitten twice shy. i've been bitten more than twice yet i don't seem to have learnt my lesson. can someone slap me awake please?

but then again. i can't wait for him to call later! =D

came back from my trips to bangkok and luang prabang. wanted to upload the pictures but a bit sloooow lehz. so i gave up. so i'll write instead of posting. so please make do with whatever i have in facebook until i find the mood to upload them again. =D

went bangkok with lover after some spontaneous planning and stayed like 3.5 days there. did some walk around. caught a few movies. chilled out a bit and did some major shopping at juz one place.

we stayed at baiyoke boutique hotel. it's near pratunam center where everyone claims the shopping was good. and coz we went on weekdays and left on sat morning we didn't manage to conquer chatuchak. but yeah. may be back for that another weekend. but then again. i may consider going elsewhere.

we took our first ever tut tut and was 'conned' into having lunch at a restaurant where the prices were a bit high end. but the tom yam was really good. the prawns were like damn fresh too! and not to mention ultra big! =D

then we ventured about and asked our way to the big c and center world. big c is like our giant. a supermart in a sense. and we spent a bit shopping for toiletries and browsing around the shelves. probably coz of the exchange rate i thought it was wise to spend a bit on travel sizes of toiletries. hahaha.

caught our very first movie of surrogates in big c. not bad. reminds me a bit of i robot though. not that it's a bad thing. seats were big and comfy and there weren't much people so lover and i were curled up on the seats and i even stretched my legs to the front seat at times. ha! =D

we tried some sugar cane ice cream with toppings. not bad but a tad too sweet for my liking. =X and we had mac too! pork burgers! and lover saw a eye candy! hahaha. she was so happy and ecstatic lo.

along the way to mbk and siam paragon we bought a few items. like tops and belt and accessories. coz there was this night market along the streets. crowded but it's an experience in itself.

the next few days were spent shopping at mbk (which was really really good) and catching 2012 at siam paragon. apparently new moon is a big whoo-ha over there coz there were gigantic posters. lifesize cutouts and a countdown timer for the movie alone! my tian!

also saw the 7 wonders built using legos in paragon. christmas decorations.

we had foot massages the first 2 days and indulged ourselves in manicure and pedicure and body massage on the last. damn good! mani and pedi were a bit scary though coz they were my first. but ok la. at least they look nice now. hahaha!

went over luang prabang on sat morning and stayed till early this morning. details are in facebook.

but i guess i found my courage. to travel alone and all. it's quite interesting when you do things your own time and do what you want. the scary part was the fear that no one could understand me coz of the language barrier. but i guess if i manage to survive through it. it's not that bad is it? =P

heard a few news when i came back today. allan mah promoted to rm. ckn5. sophia promoted to rm. bpp. happy for both of them. but it means that i have one less kaki to hang out with le. damn. =X anyway. hawa's giving birth today. so i wish her all the best and may the baby be as healthy as can be! =D

i like this pic. taken a bit haphazardly. but i thought it was quite cute. hahaha. taken today at WCP (West Coast Park) Grand Opening (GO) or rather refreshed look. half the RMs and 1st Assts were there. and perhaps that explains why i'm holding the balloons? hahaha. coz sophia and i were following this stilt walker who was giving balloons. we were like the escorts lo. =D

was really fun although tiring when we had to start running coz sophia. kris. kim seah and i were part of the amazing race facilitators. but alright la. =D still got to win vouchers. hahaha. was going to post up more pics on facebook but the photo system is not co-operative at all! for the past 3 days le! damn! =X

been really happy yesterday and the day before coz i was msging my eye candy and *b called up. hahaha. so i started poking my managers when working and smiling to myself. so they all said i was nuts. hahaha.

and after some practicing with my frothing. now my milk looks ok. and my latte looks ok right? got marbling and all ma. this was one of the better ones coz some of the other CMI lo. hahaha. tkz to my shifu for his guidance! =D

and the difference between this and the previous one was that the top was done with normal coffee while this was done with decaf. hahaha. i think it looks ok too! =D

next up. i wanna learn latte art! time to disturb my shifu soon! probably on friday! hahaha. =D so happy can see him! =D

had a long day today. or rather yesterday. and it's gonna be another long day tmr. or rather later. but but but. i'm a happy girl! =D

went store for opening coz the opening beanie couldn't make it due to school (tell me this: how can it be that you only know you have school the next day like 6 hours before?!? bloody pissed off and i 'complained' to my shifu in the middle of the night. hahaha.) but heng daniel helped out opening and so i did part of schedule in the morning. ran around like an extra kid for breakfast coz the sales was like 'whoa!' and continued with schedule before i was chased off by janice and jegan for the upcoming cafe promotion briefing.

and i was hoping to see my eye candy there although i know the chances are quite low as he's busy with his other job and school. but i saw him!!! so so so happy! and then went back store with KC and did another schedule and covered cafe for a while coz another idiot never turn up again! frustration!!! >(

then worse. over ordered cafe products so was calling CK62 and BB to absorb! >( bosses coming today lehz!

but then i did some nice drinks and suggestive selling too. so proud of myself. maybe i should demote to a shift leader or beanie as well. =D and so i msged my shifu and took some pics of my nice nice milk. hahaha. coz he said muz prove to him that i can froth a good jug of milk too! =D

then after that went BB to learn a bit more skills and quite enjoyed myself too. not tired at all. coz yarz. =D then left at 11pm plus a bit coz i needed to send some emails out before 2359h yest. and *b was nice enough to walk me to the bus stop and waited with me for the bus even though he was waiting for his overnight beanie to turn up. hahaha.

so we chatted a bit more. laughed a bit more. and yes. i didn't feel tired at all. not surprising rightz? =D and was doing schedule juz now. and chatting to *b.

sometimes i really wonder at fate and the things he brings along with him. i never ever thought that i would meet my eye candy back from 6 years ago and could be on such good terms now. it's surprising the curveballs life throws at me. and don't be mistaken. i'm not complaining. juz amazed at how fast time passes and how much i've encountered and overcome in the past years.

i'll continue to be my happy little girl since no one and nothing is holding me back now. i'm a free woman! =D

time to enjoy my life learning new stuff. travelling. and doing what i like best! =D

came back from batam with beloved. juz more of a r&r 2d1n break from the world. was fun juz walking around aimlessly and shopping and catching 17 again in the cinema. =D beloved was saying she'll buy a place in batam if she has the money but i want to buy one in bukit indah(malaysia) or bintan. =D

coz we followed the wrong GMT and entered the departure 1 hour earlier. so we cam-whored. =D

and anyway. i met up with a looooong lost shifu of mine. long lost for 6 years. =D my ex-eye candy. hahaha. i didn't tell him that la. =P

we were chatting when he asked when i was free for coffee and i chose today. and that boy actually forgot today was his birthday! hahaha. i was laughing at him lo. bought him something. but then he told me he liked harleys instead. arrrghz. damn. wrong choice. but still... =)

he met me at store and then we went over to new york new york for dinner.

but but but. it was anderson's of denmark that we had in the end. hahaha. and we continued chatting and he started teaching me how to froth a good jug of milk. =D

talking to him juz came naturally although we haven't been in contact since like 6 years ago. and it was juz comfortable and all ba. hahaha. and now he owes me 25 pinches! =D i'm a sadistic.

met up with *w for dinner the other day as well. and like what i told beloved. before we met a few days before he sent a msg that got me confused and thinking again. when i met up with him there seemed to be a gap. or was i juz thinking too much? it was like we were stepping around the edges coz there seemed to be some unbroken rule lying around. i'm not sure if this is what i want from our friendship. but i guess i can't complain.

and in the end i'm going with lover to bkk first before heading over to laos alone.

i think i need some time alone and the 4 days in laos should be good enough to sort out my confused and messy thoughts and move on from here.

there are still times i think back and miss the moments with certain people special in my life. and *she is always the one that comes to mind. i wonder why? we haven't been in contact for like 3 years?!? yet *she is always subconsciously there. is forgetting someone really this hard? why couldn't it be easier like drinking water?

i still miss *you. damn.

came back from colmar tropicale quite long ago. been out and about. with beloved and karin for sleepovers. the 2/2 gang for bbq. been packed with work and all the events. pics will be up later. =D

next up on my list are: weekend in batam with beloved. then off to laos alone. before meeting mum and lover in bangkok for some major shopping. and... pig blood here i come! =D

been too long since i last updated my blog. guess there's nothing much happening. my world revolves around work. family. friends. myself.

i guess it's unfortunate that coz of my independence and my need for freedom i hurt another being along the way again. but i guess if i don't do it now. i'm not sure when i'll pluck up my courage to do it. so it's thousand and one apologies to *y. but i guess we're all better off right now? =)

we'll still stay as friends and so we're going out later to JB. =D but more than friends. i don't think i can accept anyone or be committed at this moment in time.

i'm meeting beloved on friday night for a much overdued squash and swim session! so exciting! =D

the light at the end of a long month.

today being the friday before national day. projected breakfast sales was $1.9k. overall was $13k. and guess what? breakfast ended up with $3.1k and by the time mariana deposited her cash it was $10k at 5pm le. tian ah. i feel soooo bloody shagged. and damn that woman who so happily clear her PH tmr. bloody hell. i tell you. i'm so gonna clear my stuff and go malaysia on tues and wed. i so desperately need a break. =X

with an aching back. i think it's way past my bedtime. time for my beauty sleep.

i hoped i don't regret going to colmar tropicale at the end of the month. coz after all the reviews i read. the inside of the hotel isn't as fantastic as what it seems to be. *prayz*

ok. a very very overdue food post on my various haunts during the past one month (?) or so... so it's gonna be picture heavy yeah?

went to johor bahru with karin to meet *y on wednesday coz we couldn't get table at the dim sum buffet place nor at top table. and beloved fell sick. =( so in the end decided to venture inside coz i was craving for the jap food and to be out of singapore. so in backwards order:

we had dinner at this alley in johor jaya that was alfresco and that felt more like malaysia instead of all the restaurants i always go. the food is here good. one of the better ones definitely. and i've always loved the fact of eating under the sky. =D the first time i came here with *y it started to rain lo. sianz. thank god the weather held up this time round. =D oooh. and on tuesdays there's pasar malams here!

with music from our era blaring in the background and the sounds of cooking with wafts of satay in the breeze. i felt at home. it was comfortable and familiar. and like what karin said. i looked as if i was home. hmmmz. i'm not sure if that's good or bad. ... ...

anyways. we ordered quite a spread considering our heavy breakfast and light tea within a short span of like 6 hours. (wah! 3 meals in 6 hours!)

the street scene with the usual otah at the table.

had bbq stingray (RM$9!). claypot rice (RM$4.5). satays with very very nice sauce (not sure how much but the 2nd time we ordered for 15 sticks was RM$7.50 if i'm not wrong).

took 3 items from a guy walking around with a basket of dim sum. har kaos. siew mais and something that lloked good. =D and of course finishing it up with ABC. it's similar to our ice kachang la. but for such a big bowl it's RM$1.80 only! and i love the peanut bits in it. =D

and these were what we had for tea break. =) at white town old coffee at i can't remember where. was it near plentong or near johor jaya i can't remember. or was it permas jaya? either one la. =D we had iced white coffee. 2 honey lemon iced and a basket of popiahs to share. the iced coffee was not too bad. except the still slight bitter aftertaste which i can't stand. but other than that it was ok. nutty and fragrant. the honey lemon was a tad more like honey water. but after karin poked the lemon and till the end. it became very sour. *shudderz* and the popiah was crispy and hot. total spending was RM$18.90.

and i'm not sure if it was the weather or coz we were all feeling nua-ey. the place was alfresco but it was windy and it made us all wanna sleep. and i was so slack lo. =D

breakfast was jap food at nijyumaru at permas jaya which was sushi tei standards or slightly higher. but the price is a bit steep. for all we had we spent RM$216.65.

had iced cold grape smoothie. summer peach tea and a mango tango. all which were nice and cooling on a hot sunny day on wed. =D

had the salmon rolls. an assortment of sashimi for 3. buta kimchi teppanyaki and a gyu teriyaki to share. i like the kimchi. sour yet spicy. i think i can survive in korea on kimchi! =D

also had the fried california maki. shark's fin chawanmushi. uni chawanmushi and a soft shell crab maki. i liked the idea of frying the california maki coz the final texture was crispy on the outside. soft yet crunchy on the inside and with the generous heaping of roe it was fantastic. tad sinful. and i liked the chawanmushi too but it wasn't the best i've ever had coz it wasn't smooth enough. but ok la. thou shalt not complain. =D

met beloved with *y on another day and tried the soup at paradise inn at west coast plaza. the duck with salted vege was ok. but my mummy's cooking's better. =D

before that we ventured to tcc by the bay at keppel marina. the view was pretty. minus the cranes in the background. but it was too attas for us ba. even the menu was attas. unlike the usual tcc. and it was quite ex too. =X not a very fantastic experience. would not go back ba. =X


met mummy and beloved for dim sum buffet at zhou zhuang at anchopoint too. buffet was good and worth the money. especially when it was raining outside and there we were having hot piping food. =D i won't elaborate dish by dish but overall a good experience and i like the ambience. =D





met *y and tried yotei at forum galleria. i wouldn't recommend going there. expensive and not worth it. standards as compared to other jap restaurants was not there either.



had shabuya with beloved and karin at vivocity before she flew off to aussie to meet tom. the quality was good. food was good. although we came out stinky somewhat coz of the steamboat's steam. =P



tried island creamery at serene center after reading so much on it. i tell you. the ice cream is really good and worth the money. but to ask me to go back again is equivalent to asking me to go and waste money on bad food. coz of the bad service. i stood there in front of the 2 staff and they took a bloody 10 mins to serve me even though there was no queue and it was bloody obvious that i wanted to order. =X enough said.

a happier post would be that before the absymal visit to island creamery i had some very good food at relish at cluny court. atmosphere was a tad attas. but i quite liked the high ceilings and bright cheery feel it has. =D

had mushroom soup and the appetizer. white bait with rockets if i'm not wrong which was good. and friend had a chicken redang burger. and i tried their famous wild rocket burger. it looked small and normal. but once you bite into it and all the beef juicies started invading your tastebuds it was heaven. and no doubt a filling meal. no worries about the rocket leaves though. they may seem like a bunch but it was not bitter at all and complemented the burger nicely. =D

had modesto's with karin at vivocity too. the pictures are not very clear coz i took with my phone cam which was 2.0 megapixel. i liked the soft but buttery garlic bread and the ceasar salad. iced peach tea was normal. but the pizzas were the highlight of teh day. the different mushrooms on one and spicy parma ham on the other. crispy and a bit burnt. probably coz they used wooden oven? profiterioles were a bit too chocolatey for me though. =)

tried another jap buffet restaurant in johor bahru with *y again. can't recall the name of the restaurant but it was so-so only. but but but...

the chawanmuchi is the best that i've ever tried. and so i had 3 different flavours of it! =D

had haagen daz at vivocity with *y after lunch and watching harry potter. and we had my fav flower blossom basket! =D

this was our lunch at the newly jpot at vivocity. it took over wood retaurant and bar. food was good. quality was *speechless*. and i enjoyed the porridge based steamboat more. =D

and breakfast before wastching harry potter was carl's jr's portebello mushroom burger combo which was waaay out of this world. like tom and karin. *y liked the unpeeled fries. =D


and last but not least. i tried the western food at austwine at farmart with *w. iced water came in a glass bottle. =D i liked the atmosphere. and of course the company i had that day. =D

we had root beer (no alcohol coz *w was riding) and mushroom soups with side dishes of sotong balls. onion rings and potato wedges. =D mains were chicken chop and fish and chips. cheap and reasonable food. juz that it's a bit inaccessible. but ok ba. =D wished there were more chances to meet up with *w for more food. =)
yepz. think i'll stop here. looooong post. and looking at all the pics are making me hungry le. =D going for dinner now. later off to work and tmr morning after work to collect my passport. so yeah. tatA! =D
